June Fundraising Numbers: Obama Campaign Beaten by $35 Million

Under normal circumstances, news that the Obama campaign had raised a breathtaking $71 million would no doubt trigger an avalanche of gloating from the Left, as well as horrified, panic-stricken reactions from the Right. But these are not normal circumstances, seeing as President Obama is up against a man who knows how to turn a profit, and is doing precisely that in his own fundraising. As such, this pleading email from the Obama campaign (copied courtesy of the Huffington Post) may strike readers sympathetic to Romney as particularly exhilarating:

The good news: June was our best fundraising month of the campaign so far, exceeding all of our expectations. More than 706,000 people supported our organization last month. All told, our campaign, along with the Democratic Party ended June with $71 million to put to work.

The bad news: We still got beat. Romney announced today that his campaign, combined with the GOP, brought in more than $106 million. We’re behind again — and the gap is getting wider.

The fate of this election could be decided before voting even starts.

We have momentum, excitement on the ground, and more grassroots donors and volunteers than any campaign in history. But our opponent has an unprecedented money-for-influence machine geared towards funneling big contributions to his campaign, the Republican Party, and a network of super PACs and anonymous front groups.

There’s too much at stake right now to fall behind. Think about what a Romney presidency would mean for the things we’ve fought for — like Obamacare, which he says he’ll “kill” on Day One. Like the kind of economy we believe in, where everyone gets a fair shake and plays by the same rules.

Each of us has to do our part to close this fundraising gap — can you step today?

Thanks,

Obama for America

That’s right – the Romney campaign reeled in $106 million this month. In other words, he made almost as much in a month as some Federal agencies spend in a year.

Nor is this the first time that the Romney campaign has outraised the Obama campaign – they beat them by $17 million in May, making June the second consecutive month that Obama‘s camp has lagged behind Romney’s. This is going to lead to some tricky math for Obama, whose Super PACs and other semi-affiliated campaign apparati are also outspending Romney’s by a sizable margin. Obama is quite literally spending money faster than he takes it in.

Come to think of it, that last sentence could be applied to so much of the Obama Presidency.

If Obama were ahead it would be the will of the people, when Romney is ahead it is corporate interests. The entire thing is ridiculous, I hope Romney knows what he is getting himself into. Conservatives are NOT going to sit by and allow him to govern like a moderate. He better be forcing himself hard right or we will simply replace him after his first term.

I can’t stand Obama, but does anyone here really expect any real change with Romney. Yes, he has said in the past that he’d work on getting rid of ObamaCare day one, but have you heard him lately? He’s getting soft on it. In fact, he’s not the only one. Many in the GOP are getting soft on the issue already suggesting defeat in the matter. I would like to have an optimistic view for the future of this country, but regardless of who wins in November, I can’t.

Obama’s camp is blowing smoke again. I believe they have more money than they know what to do with. Soros money, Saudi money, Muslim Brotherhood money Hollywood money, etc. Does anyone really believe they account for all the money they recieve?

I, for one, believe the election won’t matter. Obama isn’t leaving the Oval Office. Too much time, money and subterfuge has gone into getting this nobody elected. Unless he has been offered bigger and better things he isn’t going anywhere.

If given the chance I’ll vote against him in November all the while praying that I am wrong, wrong, wrong about anyone’s chances of removing him from the White House.

I was reminded today, on another forum, about Obama giving 2 billion dollars to Brazil/PetroBras to drill for oil. REMEMBER THAT? and then Obama gave permits to them to drill in the Gulf, while our rigs sat idle under a moratorium after the spill. George Soros being heavily invested in PetroBras the drilling/oil company. The moratorium trashed the economys of more than one state, but especially Louisiana. They still haven’t recovered and many lost their businesses and livelyhoods.

This should come up in every campaign speech by Romney!

Are you fricking high? You do realize that Romney has surrounded himself by 17 of Bush‘s neoconservative foreign advisors don’t you? You know the ones who lied about Iraq? You understand as commander in chief every military member under him will know the person sending them in to kill and die took a bunch of deferments when it was his turn, don’t you? Nah, niether is suitable for the commander in chief job as far as I’m concerned. TBH, I actually think Obama‘s foreign policy is slightly better than the chickenhawk’s, which should tell you just how much I think of Romney.

Be leary of the polls. First, you don’t know the internals and most over sample dumbocrats by 10 to 12 percentage points. Second, is it registered voters or likely votes? When you see likely voter polls, Romney is usually ahead. The polls are starting to head in Romney’s direction because the msm needs to stay relevant, and if they keep making it seem like Obama is easily going to win re-election (when in fact he’s not), they become even less trustworthy than the already are. The media’s slide began in 1980 when they all predicted Carter was easily going to win re-election and lost in a landslide. 2012 is a 1980 redo except this time the house and senate will be heading to the right (not gop) as well.

You know that based on that report they can just snatch us up and kill, torture or indefinitely detain all of us legally (in their minds)? This why Romney will mop up on obama this November. He has a machine–a machine to get donations, a maching to get out the vote, a machine for advertisements, a machine to WIN! Love him or hate him, he has the machine.

Now All you obamaton, paubot trolls will likely condemn Romney for his ability to get the funds needed to win. But just remember, Dr. Paul had to suspend his campain with like 20+/- primaries left because he was BROKE! I know yall take that as a badge of honor, kind of like losing the gun fight because you brought a knife, but ‘it’s a really good knife!’ bleagh!

So, bring it on soybean, justangry, west coast patriot, bro winston, wilson, etc, etc, etc. Be sure and reference build-a-burger, corporate fatcats, croney capitalism, and other class warfare comments. Oh, and do include copy and paste info from huffpo and other pro-obama sites since getting him elected is your objective. I’ll keep trying to get obama out, Romney in and start to turn this ship around.

There you go talking about Ron Paul again. You guys are getting a little pathetic about this stuff.

Fact: Ron Paul has raised almost as much money as Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum COMBINED
Fact: Ron Paul has millions of dollars on-hand in order for his campaign to last until the republican convention

While Newt Gingrich ended his campaign with a $4.8 million DEBT and Rick Santorum finished with $2.3 million in DEBT. Ron Paul will end his campaign with ZERO debt. Actions, not words
