Kanye Makes Up with Bush, Feuds With Lauer

During a live follow-up interview with former President George W. Bush on Wednesday, Matt Lauer played video of rapper Kanye West regretting insinuating that Bush was a racist. But after bandaging his relationship with W, Kanye went after Lauer via Twitter.

First the vid:

Now the tweets:

Kanye Makes Up with Bush, Feuds With Lauer

Regardless of his intent, he in his own way, spoke of his regret for making those comments and I think he deserves some credit. You got more from him than you will from any of the other detractors of the Bush administration. Kudos to West………….

Hey, what the heck. I say give him the benefit of the doubt. His true feelings, one way or the other, will show in time. But in the meantime, think Christian forgiveness. We’ve nothing to lose.

He’s about as relevant as Joy Behar. A shame that politics and ‘celebrities’ are so entwined.

Certainly he could do something about that in a positive way if he is sincere. He almost sounds lost, which is sad, all alone in a crowd.

Sean, you’re just wrong. He may not be relevant to the entire United States. But he is one of the most relevant rap artists and I would even say musicians alive. Just because you don‘t listen to his music doesn’t mean his music doesn’t sell.

@Grandma- My thoughts exactly, I‘m a big fan of his and I’m getting tired of having to defend his childish behavior. He seems to have turned a corner but only time will tell.

Ludwika Bronislawa, I agree. IF HE IS TRUELY SINCERE, TIME WILL TELL. I was happy to hear his comment, and I do unerstand that sometimes in a heated moment we do say things that we later regret. He was grief stricken at the pain and suffering as we all were. Many prayers were said for those who had to endure such a tragedy. We came forward with donations and aid, without a second thought of the color of anyones skin. I believe that Mr. Bush did make mistakes but he was not then or now a racist. I respect Kanye for being man enough to admit his mistakes in the same way that I respect Mr. Bush for his. Thank-you Kanye.

I am a huge fan of kanYe’s music. I can tell you that his mother’s death really affected him. Right after that he started drinking heavily and that’s when he rushed the stage on Taylor Swift. He was destroyed in the media so he had to move away from the United States after that.. I think he is trying to be a better person, only time will tell. But let’s give him a chance for redemption.

Looks like Kanye’s records are not selling, so he is spinning and pandering to get attention.

This is the same kid who posed for the cover of Rolling Stone wearing a crown of thorns. It‘s hard to show class when you’ve made a career out of having none. It does appear that he’s trying, we‘ll have to wait and see if he’s being genuine.
