‘Keep the Change’: Hank Williams Jr. Unleashes Fiery New Anthem

Days after being dropped from ESPN’s “Monday Night Football,” Hank Williams Jr. fired back at that network, “Fox and Friends” and what he called the “United Socialist States of America” in his signature style — a song bellowing biting lyrics in between guitar licks.

“This country sure as hell has gone down the drain,” Williams sings in a tune posted Monday on his official website. “We know what we need. We know who to blame.”

  Fair enough Fox made a big deal about the Hitler comment but that dog has been run around the track several times in the last few years, always with the same result. “Name calling” is wrong and shows a lack of any real substance – at least that’s what TEA PARTIERS said when names were thrown at THEM. So everyone slowed down on it – for a while.
  Granted, it was a metaphor, but still over the top a bit.
  Bocefus tossed it out there – and deserves a bit of harrassment for it.
  He should have QUICKLY said he was sorry and laughed and it would have all been over.
  
  I love the song but alienating FOX is cutting off the one Media orginization on your side.
  
  That song should have been written a long time ago without FOX being mentioned.
  
  And to everyone HELPING the liberals and progressives ON THIS SITE to demonize FOX – you need to think about what you are doing. To throw ANOTHER metaphor at ya, making friends with the Devil to fight a mere mortal does more HARM to you than good.

They just heard “ Hitler ” , then because of P.C and not wanting to be singled out by the other LSM they had to act surprised and disgusted . They really didn’t even understand what Hank was saying at the time.. They didn’t understand it was an analogy not a comparison, besides who was Hitler and who was Netanyahu ? Hank never said who, because he was making an analogy.. Anyway, I don‘t watch FOX anymore and it’s been over a year now not because of this incident..

  Political correctness has no business or purpose in the search for truth. So Fox News needs to decide either it’s is a true new source or just another political correct propaganda network.   Roger Ailes runs Fox News. He has quietly repositioning Fox News. He has dailed back the positive talk about the Tea Party and is stirring the political pot for the Republican Presidential candidates.
  
  Ailes wanted Christ Christie to be the Republican candidate. When that didn’t happen, he had to pick another candidate. Herman Cain has received the most positive press so he may be the one anointed.
  
  Even though Ron Paul has been winning straw polls, Fox News always talks about him in dismissive terms. Paul has to buy an advertisement to get a mention of O’Rielly. Ailes has reined in Bill O’Reilly and Shepard Smith when they stray too far from the reservation.
  
  CNN is repositioning itself as the news organization that is in the middle. “Fox is to far right. MSNBC is too far left. But CNN is right in the middle.”
  
  The parent company, News Corp, is owned by Rupert Murdock has to avoid offending the Democrats. Obama, the Justice Department (Eric Holder) and the Democrats would like to silence Fox with lawsuits for using illegal sources.
  
  Of course, George Soros is still funding his disinformation machine. Media Matters refutes the stories on Fox News within minutes no matter how weak or erroneous the rebuttal.

  After reading a few of the comments here, I’m surprised. I am now wondering what happened at the end of last year, or beginning of this year that has shifted Fox so noticeably.
  
  Does anyone have any information on a buyout, or something similar? Could this have anything to do with the whole hacking scandal that’s going on with NewsCorp companies?
  
  For a long time I defended Fox as the only balanced news source on TV, I can no longer in good conscience do so, and I’ve stopped watching months ago. Even their flagship, Oreilly, has visibly shifted left, what’s going on??

  The non vetting of Obama prior to his election to POTUS was largely due to the MSM. And look what we ended up with!!!   Fox cowers way to easy! If another truly conservative network would come on to the scene Fox would be obliterated in ratings in less than 6 months!! It would be the most drastic downswing in the history of cable and maybe TV! With the exception of Martha and Hemmer I’m so darn sick of their talking heads! In my opinion Pat Cadell is one of the most honest Dem Strategists on TV! I wish he had a more expanded role! I like Gutfeld, Guilfoyle and Dana too but their show “The Five” sucks!

  Fox has been slowly changing…and leaning more and more to the Liberal Left as days go by. I know its‘ owner is a Liberal because about 2 or 3 years ago I watched a Fox show informing its’ viewers of this. The owner (forgot his name but I’m sure this can be googled) has apparently prospering from owning both Liberal and Conservative media shows…but with the 2012 election getting closer and closer, it seems he wants to do his ‘liberal part’ in helping obummer win. Hence, the watering down and even flipflopping of conservative reporting and opinions at times. While Fox remains a conservative news show for the most part, it’s indeed becoming more Liberal…and I feel we’ll be seeing even more changes as we get even closer to the 2012 election. Lesson to live by: do your homework and don’t rely on any one media for your information. Don’t absorb…think for yourselves.

  People have noticed it long before then.
  There are many examples. I started to wonder during the Japanese earthquake period. Fox was giving a platform to many voices on the left. Some of the people they were holding up as experts were from leftwing environmental organization..Nuclear Free World, this or that and not just one or two slots to be “fair and balanced”. Just this morning they resurrected Perry’s “heartless” comment and were questioning if he is “to liberal”.

I like it.. a lot.. I think we need a new conservative cable station outlet.. I’ve turned fox off more and more lately.. they’re playing footsies with the left tooooo much lately.. I started noticing this since about the first of the year.. might’ve been longer ago than that.. but the gist of it is.. fox just don’t get it any more for me.. they want to play footsies with the left.. let ‘em.. I wonder what FOX will do next, no wonder Glenn left Fox, the worst thing that happened is when Beck left. I just pray FOX doesn’t go down that path, and start leaning left.   I saw it, too. They needed to let him roll – since he was using up his time – and appeared he was not prepared (sort of) to go on-air. They needed to bring it on point to his music = CD.
  
  I like him and I think his song is great.
  
  His statements were strong – and he needed to be more relaxed instead of the agreesive stance w his arms crossed and such – giving the impression he was going to be combative.
  
  He might have been able to get away with what he wanted to do – if he spent more time on talking about The USA and America’s exceptionalism – and not focused on trashing O personally- but more w O not being competent to run the country, tired of his whining, and tired of him trashing America and Americans – as not what any “leader” of our country has done before – bc it gives the impression that O speaks more like a thug instead of a president.
  
  Therefore, people would have paid more attention to how O presents himself – as POTUS – when trashing his political opponents, by looking at him as a thug – trashing America.
  
  Obama is TOAST – anyway. But we have to keep our guard up – because 16 MILLION voter registrations were discovered in 2009 – to be invalid – although these non-existent people “voted” in the 2008 presidential election.

  I also noticed that Fox is leaning more and more to the left. I think the only person on Fox that keeps up the pressure on the left is Hannity and maybe Cavoto. The man running everything is Ayles and I think he is the one everyone should go after. Hank Williams was just airing his ideas, and that is not against the law, I say go for it Hank, give them an ear full.

  Hank was on Glenns radio show this morning and put some context to it all. He suggested to go to his website and see the whole clip. He stated that he asked that no political questions be asked and for the interviewers to “just not go there”. He was there to talk about his fathers CD release of archived and some just discovered recording that he did. Period.
