‘Kill Romney’: Disturbing Page Appears on Facebook

For the sake of the political system, one hopes that this Facebook page is a joke:

It’s difficult to tell which is more terrifying – the fact that this page exists at all, or that it had “27 Likes” at the time this picture was taken (that number has since grown to 28).

Fortunately, even if 28 very troubled people do “Like” this page, the reactions from practically everyone else have been stunned and disturbed, and that’s true of both parties. Here are some selected reactions to the page, also lifted from Facebook (Warning! Strong Language):

No word yet as to whether Facebook will remove the offending page. However, a competing Facebook page has been set up calling for its removal:

One of the page’s detractors also claims to have discovered the person responsible for creating it in the first place:

If Mr. Albert is the one responsible, he can probably expect enduring some extra scrutiny — like this guy.

I think that Christ answered who these folks are in John chapter 8 when he identified the type of people who would abdicate such things as murder. John 8:19-59. Therefore you should not be surprised when you see on of these who is of the family of Cain put up a face book page suggesting murder.

Where do you draw the line..? I don’t advocate violence, but I have a bigger
problem with big brother constantly looking over our shoulder more.
I hate the fact that I have to consider that because I say something ,I could be
flagged as something other than what I am, a U.S. citizen.

Another thing how come the same people that claim we just might “act on our words” ..
Give countries like IRAN a pass and say they are just saber rattling. You would think
a U.S. citizen would get the same treatment, if not better. considering we have our
constitutional rights that is suppose to guarantee us this.

And don’t get me started on someone that get charged with a felony and looses
his second amendment rights for some trumped up charge . But some crook from
another country can walk into our country become a citizen and have every right
granted to him and a brand new slate to boot.

  So there is outrage on the “Kill Romney” site….and rightfully so. There is/was/would be for the same site directed at Obama. (don’t want to type that you know).
  
  Now, there is no outrage when it comes to actually killing Americans abroad…in fact we cheer it and vote for it. (We meaning the majority here)
  
  Take for example Abdulrahman al-Awlaki who was blown up in Yemen. He has one of dem dare terrorist names so it must be good. Of course he’s an American. He was never charged with anything. Never questioned. Never given an ounce of due process. “Well yeah but he’s a terrorist so he gives up those rights as soon as he…er…becomes a terrorist.” Ok, one other thing…he’s a 16 year old boy, or at least he was. And still, I see posts on here about “Well, he should know better and hang out with different people.”
  
  You all don’t get it. You argue over “you can’t say that on this website” BS. You’re all in a tizzy about threats like this sophomorish stunt. Yet, you defend it happening in real life. You don’t care about the rule of law. You care about political leanings and some stupid binary choice that means nothing.
