‘Kill That White Man!’: 78-Year Old Man Beaten By 6 Youths in Alleged Racially-Motivated Attack

78-year old Dallas Watts says he was walking home around 4:45 p.m. on Saturday in Toledo, Ohio when a group of six youths, both white and black, nearly beat him to death for the color of his skin.

Watts said he heard one of the group say, “take him down!,” and then, “the next thing I knew, I was sucker punched from the back,” he said.  At one point, he was allegedly lifted up by one then “drop kicked” by another, before someone put his foot on Watts’ neck and said “kill him.”

Watts says he appealed to Trayvon Martin’s memory, saying: “Why me? Remember Trayvon! Remember Trayvon!”  The group’s response was reportedly along the lines of: “This is for Trayvon … Trayvon lives, white [man]. Kill that white [man].”

Fox Toledo continues:

For the next four minutes, the group of juveniles punched and kicked Watts, until he nearly passed out. Two customers at the nearby gas station stepped in to help.

“All I could hear before I passed out, [one of the group said] ‘Don’t kill him, or we all go to jail,’” Watts recalled. “If [the customers] had not gotten involved, he would have killed me.”

“I meant [the reference to Trayvon Martin] in a peaceful way,” he continued.  “What happened to Trayvon, I was not responsible for, I live 1,000 miles away! But they kept saying, ‘Kill him! Kill Him! Kill him!‘ because I’m a white man.”

Investigators are unsure how Watts’ reference to Trayvon Martin was interpreted, saying it could have been seen as threatening or racist.  However, Watts maintains, “All I meant by saying ‘remember Trayvon’ is to remember what happened to him, don’t duplicate it here.”

At the time of the attack, Watts had his wallet, credit card, house keys, and pork rinds (he was walking back from the gas station), but the only thing the alleged attackers took was the pork rinds.  Watts believes, then, that the goal of the beating wasn’t money, but hate.

Toledo police Sgt. Phil Toney said: “I have heard that there were some comments made, some racial comments made, but that we’re still investigating…We can’t really confirm that one way or the other at this point. We still have not talked with Mr. Watts yet. We’re going to be talking to him a little bit later.”

Watts has already contacted a lawyer to file hate crime charges with the U.S. Attorney General.

“You don‘t pick somebody’s body up off the sidewalk and let somebody else give him a lick to kick the ribs,” he said. “That was malicious intent. That was a hate crime and I want them punished for it!”

Three of the six youths involved in the attack have been arrested and charged, two with robbery, and the third with disorderly conduct.

      Sorry Old “WHITE” man…..this story doesnt fit into the Obama Administration narrative. Which is why the Justice Department will NEVER investigate this hate crime.       Sounds like the police already decided this wasn’t a hate crime. What part of “This is for Trayvon … Trayvon lives, white [man]. Kill that white [man].” makes them think it wasn’t a HATE CRIME?? Oh, I get it. They probably don’t want to charge a black kid with a hate crime as it might cause a riot. How many of these beatings DO WE NOT SEE AS THEY’RE NOT REPORTED AS A BLACK ON WHITE HATE CRIME??? Thank god the 2nd Amendent hasn’t been writen out of the constitution…….yet. At least people can still defend themselves.

      Here is what I don’t get about the Trayvon Martin case. If you are black you are 15.5 times more likely to be killed by a black person. Because of population differences a black person is safer in a room with 120 white/other people then 1 black person. (% chance they will kill you).

      It’s really odd that there was reportedly a white in on the attack. I’m thinking it was either a Hispanic or he was a wigger trying to prove his blackness to the others. There are mentally deranged whites in the population like that.

      Most certainly they tried to kill him. Without question.

      But he‘s lucky he didn’t have a concealed carry permit. If he did he would prbably have killed one of the blacks and the media would be on a feeding frenzy, calling him a racist, white supremacist and Jesse and Al would be marching in order to to get “justice” for the black perp.

      As far as blacks and hispanics hanging and gang-banging together, I would surprised to see that since a-lot of gang “warfare” seems to be latino gangs vs black gangs.

      Example, L.A. has had over half of it’s black population driven out from latino gangs specifically targeting black residents, ethnic cleansing that were not hearing about…..at least officially.

      First of all this is a sad story and my sympathies are with the 78 year old guy. So I’m wondering why the Blaze would post this given that the man stated both whites and blacks were involved. Using the FOX vernacular, “some say” this group consisted of five whites and one dark looking person who stood at the side watching. Of course I can’t disapprove what these unknown “some people” say. It conforms to my prejudice against blacks, so I believe it.

      But that brings up my next topic, News You Won’t Read Here! A Planned Parenthood office was bombed in Wisconsin two days ago, something you’ll never read here. Some say it was bombed by white Christians, like all the other bombings and murders of other people associated with abortions (which are legal in this country let’s not forget). Some say the perps were very similar to the Christians who post here, and, I admit, I can’t disprove that.

      This is the 2nd attack on an innocent person who happens to be white and George Zimmerman is Latino and half White. If they consider Zimmerman White so be it, then Obama is White too then.       I wonder how many Blaze readers realize that the initial push for Desegregation was overwhelmingly opposed by Americans back at that time and today it appears that their worst fears have come to fruition….       Whoa, whoa, whoa… Who is this thug? What is his high school record? Was he ever suspended? He looks like he had clearly done some vandalism at some point, which means he actually should have been killed. He clearly had it coming if he was guilty of those types of things.

      He’s smoking and drinking in the picture, I don’t think it is too much of a leap to say that he was probably drunk at the time. Plus he has a wild-eyed, crazy look about him, which means there is no way that this attack was entirely unprovoked.

      Let’s let the system do what it is designed to do, which should be nothing because this guy clearly had it coming.

      I thought about getting a concealed carry permit but didn‘t do it because they’re the first people the government will go to when it’s time to suspend the 2nd amendment. If you think it will never happen ask yourself where your 4th-6th amendment rights went.

      So? Get your permit. Just be smart enough to have more than one weapon so when/if ‘they’ abolish the 2nd amendment and come for your gun, you very vocally tell them how bad they are and why you disagree and should be allowed to have one, all the while know you have other guns stashed in a way they will not be found. However, read up on how to properly conceal weapons as those that will take your weapons are not stupid. My father was born in Hungary and went through the Hungarian revolution and a child and saw first-hand how guns are found when people thought they had them hid well. Know what you are doing!

We don’t know for sure whether the gang was in fact interracial, but if it was, the white kids joined the black gang and not the other way around.       DALLAS – Benbrook police are looking for a carjacker who ran over a senior citizen after stealing his car.

      It happened Sunday morning at the Rub-a-Dub car wash on Benbrook Boulevard.

      Surveillance video shows the 82-year-old man washing his car when the thief wearing a white shirt approached him and demanded money.

      Police said the suspect pushed the man to the ground, jumped into his car and then ran over his leg as he drove off.

      Officers later found the stolen car abandoned.

      Lassiegirldawn. It happens sometimes. I do not think it is the Blaze I think it could be that you are being watched for whatever reason. Somedays my computer goes crazy when I am trying to do anything. Once I complain and finally get something through it miraculously stops. I have been banned from sites for my political views, though I have never commented pushing for viloence or about guns they do not like my political views. My boyfriend uses my computer to go to gunsites while I am signed in maybe they think I am a threat of some kind, who knows? Do you go to conservative sites allot? The fact that you are on here is enough for them to target you. Keep trying, you will eventually get through. These adults better warn their children that people are all divided and hatefulness of something that is none of our businesses could cause some them to be killed or go to jail. If the person they attack is killed it could be a sentence that would take them away from their friends and families until they are old enough to have grandchildren of their own. If it is worth it, then there are consequences. Some people are not stable as others and it is a responsibility of individuals to conduct themselves above what is happening.       Anyone that has to have their friends to help them beat up an old man is a coward, plain and simple. Too much of a chicken to try it one on one even if the person being attacked is older. But that seems to be all these uncivilized punks know. I am 63 and female, and if I was attacked like that, they might end up on the winning side, but I would make sure they would have some pain to go with that win. I can’t have a gun where I live now, but I still have fingers, elbows and knees, plus dentures can cause more pain when biting than real teeth can. I don’t pick a fight with anyone, but I can dang sure protect myself even though I am disabled.
