Florida Pastor Terry Jones — whose Koran-burning activities have gained worldwide attention — is in the news again, this time for hanging President Barack Obama in effigy in front of his church.

A photo posted on The Smoking Gun shows a dummy with Obama‘s likeness hanging from a yellow noose outside Jones’ Dove World Outreach Center. The scene also features an American flag, a rainbow-striped gay pride flag, an Uncle Sam dummy and a child‘s doll in the Obama figure’s hand. The words “Obama is Killing America” are posted on a trailer nearby.

A photo posted on the Broward-Palm Beach New Times‘ website shows a different set-up, this one with Uncle Sam hanging from the noose and the Obama dummy standing by.

According to the New Times, a church spokeswoman confirmed the effigy is real.

“We have chosen to hang President Obama as a symbol of what America needs to do. We must remove him, we must vote him out of office,” Jones said in a video statement.

A Secret Service spokesman told the newspaper the agency is investigating the situation.

Jones told the Huffington Post the pride flag was meant to call attention to Obama’s pro-same-sex marriage stance, and said the doll is because Obama is “favorable toward abortion.”

He said the original display was meant to show Obama hanging Uncle Sam, but that it was changed Wednesday so Obama himself was hanging.

      Either or both work for me. Not that being a MNormon is bad, but being a liberal and communist is. And anyone who negates, modifies, or legislates against the Constitution is a liberal communist.

      Here is one thing though; this is being used to deliver a message of hate and murder against another human being (even if he is Obama), and is on the same grounds as the allegations and efforts of the radicals of the left in the Zimmerman case. Evil for the sake of evil begets nothing more than evil; to allow such to be done ‘in the name of justice’ is not justice, it is just evil to the core.

      What should be done is to keep calling and pressing for Obamas impeachment; and after he is out of office either by such means or with a new POTUS in the new year, keep pushing for his crimes to be dealt with before the court of law.

    Ridiculously un-Christlike. Obama is horrible for this country. He needs to be fired. (Frankly, impeachment would be nice but there is no specific provision for being impeached based simply upon being a pathological arrogant, lying narcissist …not that I have an opinion). However , this pastor’s behavior is in no supportable way, representative of what Jesus Christ commands us to do. I pray Barack Obama is convicted in his spirit, repents of his sins and comes to a saving relationship with God through Jesus. I pray the exact same thing for this pastor. If “by their fruit you will know them” then this guy really needs it.

      Un-Christlike? Read your bible. There is a passage where Jesus asked a follower if he had a sword, and when he said no, Jesus told him he should sell his garments and get one. Lesson: You have a right to defend yourself against unwarrented agression. Turning the other cheek is meant to shame a fellow brother in the community, not to bend over, grab your ankles and let anyone or anything have their way with you.

      Obama is non-violently plotting the overthrow of the government. Obama is advocating the overthrow of the government. Obama is threatening future presidents by usurping the Constitution and turning executive orders that make end-runs around Congress.

But it’s true. So we don’t fight wars any more like our forefathers and founders cause we are too “ciiiivilizzzed” for that. So we watch and we complain as the train keeps rolling along….but we better not be “mean spirited” or “haters” or “not nice”…..we better not put up a mean poster or picture….cause that would be mean.
      See the movie “For greater Glory” and what happened in Mexico when the rulers in that day outlawed churches and free speech…theyre doing the same thing to us except slower and 1000 paper cuts….and we wont be “mean” like the priests in Mexico were.

      @Tsunami, And how, exactly, be very specific, is the President overthrowing the government? Please give me real, verifiable examples. I don‘t want Fox talking points or Beck’s chalkboard nonesense conspiracies, I want REAL proof that the President is working against the country. The President was elected by 53% of a 70% voter turnout. He was born in the United States which makes him a citizen by Jus Soli, his mother was an American citizen, which makes him an American citizen by Jus Sanguinis. Most of his policies have been Bush carryovers. The money he “added” to the deficit was adding Bush’s unfunded and under-the-table costs of the two wars he dragged us into. Show me with real quotes, not cherry-picked, misread crap where the President has advocated overthrowing the government. You hate, I get it, you don’t want him to be President, I get that, too. But there is nothing he has done that is worse than any of his predecessors, and yet, everything he says or doesn’t say, everything he does or doesn’t do is proof to people like you that he is anti-American, or unpatriotic, or Muslim, or Nazi, or Communist or some other drivel that HE IS NOT. And no, I don‘t think he’s the Messiah, I’m Catholic, that means Jesus is the Messiah. And no, I don‘t think everything he’s done is wonderful. I’m a Liberal, Barack Obama is a Moderate, I wish he’d been a Liberal, but we haven’t had one of those in office since LBJ.

      Exactly what is it in Terry Jones’ display that advances the Gospel of Jesus Christ? Terry Jones claims to be a Pastor for Christ and the building that this display is in front of claims to house a Church/House of Worship for Jesus Christ. How do you reconcile the disparity in the images of a murderous lynching and the Gospel of peace?
      Terry Jones in his Koran burning, and now in this display has consistently shown his reliance on the world’s imagery and tactics over faith in the righteousness of God. To those who are of the world, it is easy to applaud the images of the lawless world that Terry Jones is advocating. To those who are of the word, it isn‘t hard to see the fruit of the lawless one at work in Jones’ actions. By their fruit you shall know them, so where is the fruit of the Gospel in the aftermath of this display?

      In order to be of the WORD you only have to get the “L” out of the WORLD.
      In order to save those who are of the WORLD, you have to love the “L” out of them so they can be of the WORD.

      MOMRULES
      Come on, you are a better person than this.
      Pastor Jones is courageous? For what, hanging the President in effigy? Then Rev Wallace is courageous for standing with OWS, and Rev. Wright is courageous for speaking out against Busch for 911, and Rev. Sharpton is courageous for standing against the Duke La Crosse players, and …etc.etc. A Pastor standing for lawlessness in a lawless world is nothing new or courageous.

      A Pastor’s courage should only be measured by their stance in support of the cause of Christ.
      God’s word teaches that believers show courage by standing firm in the gospel;

      1 Corinthians 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, 2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you–unless you believed in vain.

      Ephesians 6:13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
      Pastor Jones can share his burning Korans and hanging Obama’s. I will share the armor of God; Truth, righteousness, gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the word of God. Who will be courageously helping others to withstand in these days of evil?

      “All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.” (Edmund Burke)

      You could replace “do nothing” with “say nothing”…because I guess we are supposed to sit back and watch the evil unfold and pretend like we don’t notice our country going into the crapper?

      We would’nt want to hurt anyones feeeeelings now would we?
      We have been slowly brainwashed into being scaarred for every lil thing we say…and I am really tired of hearing “thats not very Christian”….READ the entire bible please in context. Jesus did not say;
      “be good lil sheep and let evil prevail.”

      Many verse are taken out of context and used to keep us QUIET and SUBMISSIVE.
      King David wasn’t submissive
      Joseph, Noah, and Abraham weren’t weak and submissive
      The list is endless.
      NO we are not supposed to go around being jerks nor unkind to people. But this is a movement…Obama, Pelosi, and the rest of the ilk are not just “nice people” doing what they think is right. They are diliberately-fundimentally changing and destroying this country..
      If you don’t believe that…the brainwahsing has gone to far and you need to try to get debriefed.

      Many people are following the made in America false Jesus.
      My Jesus had to be passive in some ways to lay His life down for us. But make no mistake He is a LION and a LAMB. Not just a LAMB.
      He was a strong man-Fully God and fully man and I assure you He was NOT a wimp. He was homeless in a rough environment. He fought the devil and didn’t need to use violence-because the word of God was His sword. He used His brain to confound the fools of His day. He knows we are ALL eternal.

      “Think not that I came to send peace on the earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I came to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law: and a man’s foes shall be they of his own household. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that doth not take his cross and follow after me, is not worthy of me. “(Matthew 10:34-38)

      He said put God first, even before your own children and money.
      Remember when the man wanted to follow Jesus and he said first he had to go bury his dad and Jesus said “let the dead bury their dead, you proclaim the Kingdom of God” Luke 9:60

      Sigh…Jesus didn’t sound very “nice”…

      I could have almost written your responce prior to, word for word … are you so immature in you faith. It is not I that lacks understanding. We are to emulate Jesus. Please show me the verse where the life/words of Jesus justify this behavior. We are to expose evil not do it. To place a blackman/our president in a noose during this time (or any) of racial tension is plain stupid, dumb, and moronic. God calls us to be wise, to be peacemakers, and this is the opposite. If you truly believe Jesus would not call this guy out I would ALMOST question your salvation ( I said almost).
      Futhermore, scripture calls us to respect and honour those in authority over us, as God is the one who appoints. This would mean that God has appointed Obama as president. I suspect it is in part because of the sad state of the “church” in America, and based on many of the replys I‘ve read here that doesn’t seem to be in question …

We are to love them out of the darkness, not send them deeper into it by igniting the hatred within and cause the very thing we are to help stop. If Barack was born in Kenya, he would have been born a Citizen if his mom Stanley had resided in the US for a given time after her age of majority. But she did not meet this time requirement because she got knocked up by that polygamist African guy so young. Therefore, if Barack really was born in Kenya, his current legal status is that of an illegal alien.

    Boy oh boy, no potential for black mail in this scenario! Golly Gee, do you think Goldman Sachs has access to the records of Columbia University?

    Well, anyway, the good news for Barack is that illegal aliens cannot commit treason due to the fact that they are not Citizens. The bad news for Barack is that the laws and executive orders he allegedly illegally signed into the record allow for foreign bad guys (and even domestic ones) to be summarily executed on the order of the State.

    So I see this display by Pastor Jones as not a political display but as a legal word problem / practical exercise designed to foster discussion, greater understanding, and love.

    I think this is a perfect response to the unchecked recent Black Panther commentary. The blacks have their nut jobs, and obviously so do the whites.

    Racism cultivates votes for “oh so sympathetic” democratic party. Keep giving blacks excuses to not succeed (aka the white man keeping them down) and they will continue to vote for those that provide the most in social programs. You factor in that it is now a black man providing these on a record scale, you’ve got some seriously delusional “brotherly love”.
    Did you know the welfare fund doubled since 2008? Obama wants this, he needs these votes and this is how he got/gets them.

      After ten official US investigations (including five Congressional investigations), there was never any evidence that the attack was made with knowledge that the target was a US ship. There is substantial evidence the attack was a tragic mistake caused by blunders of both the US and Israel. Eight US Presidents, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush (elder), Clinton, and Bush (younger), have each accepted the conclusion that the attack was a tragic case of mistaken identity.

      Nevertheless, Alex Jones conspiracy theorists (Israel/Israeli loathing Ron Paul acolytes) continue to claim the Israelis knowingly attacked a US ship. By some estimates, there are more conspiracy theories about the Liberty incident than about the assassination of John F. Kennedy…

If Israel knowingly attacked and killed Americans, the views of radical critics of the country are confirmed with graphic clarity. These views include… a) the belief that Israel will turn against the U.S. whenever it suits its interests… b) the belief that Israel’s control over the American political and Military structure is so great that it can openly kill Americans because it knows that officials at every level will work together to cover up the crime… and c) the belief that Israel is a terrorist state

      @Tsunami 22
      So no one in the world can ever imitate use a move like planting a flag out of respect for the Marines? As I said you have no discernment and your resort to calling people names exemplifies a losing argument.

      @Subic
      Same remark, so no one in the world can ever imitate/use a move like planting a flag out of respect for the Marines? Come November the people will decide whether the current occupant of the White House stays there or not. If you ever want to condemn the leftists depicting a violent act against President Bush, you must condemn this or keep your mouth shut. Semper Fi

      @girlnurse
      You can say what you want but don’t expect me to keep my mouth shut when you or anyone else condone depicting a violent act against the President of the United States.

    I’m not the most liberal of people on this board, but even I know that this is a really, really stupid idea.

      What type of cream? Does it stir up the vilolent types, who would resort to revolution instead of by peaceful means? Those who would actually hang the president?

      Or maybe, people need to fight Obama by normal means, such as voting with their feet come November… Non-violent, and pull together… Show them we are better than Obama’s thugs…

      I think its a great idea. God bless that pastor. He has all the important bits in there. Obama hanging from a rope should be seen by everybody so subconsciously they can hang him at the ballot box. Obama hanging from a rope stirs up some ancient sentiments on how to deal with his type of Nation Destroyer. Watch the movie: The Birth of a Nation to find out what happens when interlopers that have been kept down for generations, for good reason, are given power and how with their animalistic levels of brain and spiritual power they then proceed to destroy everything and everyone around them. Lynch that bastard, Pastor Jones.

      I’m not sure but I think proper flag etiquette would not have the leaker-in-chief flying at a position which is higher than the flag…
