Krauthammer: Obama Would Win if Election Were Held Tomorrow

Charles Krauthammer Tells Bill OReilly That if the Election Were Held Tomorrow, Obama Would Win on Fox News

Syndicated columnist and political commentator Charles Krauthammer had some surprising news for Bill O’Reilly Monday night on “The O’Reilly Factor.”  After a discussion of the president’s campaign strategies, Krauthammer unequivocally told the Fox News host that if the election were held tomorrow, Obama would win.

But there are some caveats. Krauthammer added:

If he wins either now or November in your hypothetical, it will be a narrow win because he will eke it out with these constituencies…

If you look at all the polls, the average is that he’s got a 2-point edge in the popular vote.  It‘s almost inconceivable that you’d have that strong an [excess] in the overall vote and lose in the electoral college.

But hope is not lost for Romney voters.  Though Krauthammer was not optimistic about Romney’s chances if the election were held tomorrow, he reminded viewers that a lot can change by November:

I think all this negative stuff against Romney has had an effect of making people hesitant to switch from Obama to Romney. I think if Romney humanizes himself in the debates and does reasonably well, the way Reagan did in his debates, and [becomes] acceptable to meet the threshold for president, he wins, and I think that’s likely to happen.

Watch the entire interview, via Mediaite, below:

Bill O’Reilly, it must be said, began the program by provocatively pointing out a number of polls showing overwhelming support for Barack Obama, saying: “It looks like the president’s going to win in a landslide.”

Krauthammer responded: “Not really,” pointing out that some of the president’s strongest constituencies– the young, African-Americans, and Hispanics– will likely have a depressed turnout.

Some who “swooned in the aisles” in 2008, Krauthammer argues, will stay home in 2012 because they “know the reality of what Obama has wrought.”

O’Reilly proceeded to discuss women as another voting bloc, and Krauthammer said that Obama’s campaign is based on one idea.

“You go out and you try to seduce one ethnic or socioeconomic or gender constituency after another. Because you can’t run as a national candidate who has improved the country.”

He summarized: “He cannot make the appeal, ‘I’m the president of all Americans and America is better off.’   If he does that, he loses.”

Romney’s campaign, I’m of Winston Churchill remarks on the battle and landings of ANZIO…

Winston Churchill wrote the supreme Allied commander over operations in Italy, Sir Harold Alexander, with the critical words “I expected to see a wild cat roaring into the mountains – and what do I find? A whale wallowing on the beaches!” Such was his unhappiness with the progression of the battle.

The whole election is a sham because most americans (including democrats and republicans) are tired of this political game that is played every 4 years.

In related news, Gary Johnson is above 5% without spending a dime, and we havent even gotten started yet.

Sadly, it must be Krauthammer’s time to say something absolutely correct.

Of course Obama is going to be re-elected. Mitt Romney is an establishment fraud, an electoral burnt offering. His sole purpose is to keep the myth of 2 parties alive while ensuring Obama gets his second term to finish off the remaining pillars of the constitutional republic.

There are a few good elected Republicans but very few. There is no opposition party, there is 1 party, the progressive party. Their rule is unchallanged.

But keep voting Republican, keep waiving your flags at C-Pac and keep watching everything you know and love about America fade away into a soon to be forgotten past.

Because conservatives and libertarians and independents uniting under a new banner of “restoring the republic” would just be crazy and wildly unpopular. Gotta work within the “2 parties.” Bwahahahahaha…

Personally i think his minority and young people base will have a depressed turnout as compared with 2008 because in 2008 had the potential to be historic–electing the first black president.

That same enthusiasm is no longer there, they got their historic moment.

Snackrabbit, I believe you are correct. Reps will never see how corrupt their own party is. Funny how they can see the corruption on the Dem side, but not on their own side. I guess it’s normal not to smell your own stink.

I am not a Romney supporter, but at this point, I’m not sure we have any other choice that has a possibility of winning. If we can get Romney in AND remove most of Congress due to their anti-Constition BS, and make that known, we might have a chance at fixing this country. But, conservatives are not very good at organizing and are even worse at taking the time to get involved and make their voices heard, so there’s not a real good chance of that, either.

Perhaps it’s time to find another country to move to that still rewards hard work and actually knows that individuals build businesses instead of governments. Just not sure where that is — perhaps we’ll find out in part 2 of Atlas Shrugged this fall. Where are you, John Gault?

This video alone, is enough to vote against Obama.
    http://youtu.be/OJgWMI0hch8

Romney has to start using the Obamas’ words & actions against them.
There are a trillion reasons he must go, including the deficit, economy, immigration & security.
His policies are atrocious, his leadership non-existent.
    He is POISON-
that said, the simplest, negative, most arrogant bite,
as seen in the link above, is the one that will send him reeling to the floor.
This clip spares no excuse, no defense.
    It’s pure kryptonite.

Nothing is a greater turn-off to American people than when someone belittles our flag
or calls us “the enemies”….especially, when it comes from the top down.

The Obamas‘ poison is Romney’s campaign fodder-
there is TONS of it, recorded and ready to play.

Show the recent clip of Ma Michelle is screaming, “Multiply, multiply, multiply”
and then show her husband’s face with the words,”Divide, divide, divide”!

This is the poisonous stuff that sticks in Americans’ craw-
Stick it BACK into the craw of whom it came
and blast it, non-stop all over America !

Two can play this game, as easily as one-
keep it simple, use THEIR words, out of THEIR mouths.
Stay focused on THEIR arrogance & the American people saving the country WE love !

What I’ve seen from the younger folks this time around is a love for our country, a rejection of their commie indoctrination and thirst for knowlege because they know something isn’t right. While they are full of hope and idealistic, who wants to crush that? As Cavuto said the other day, he doesn’t understand how RP got kids to talk about the federal reserve. I just think we’re dismissing our future leaders too easily and not giving them enough credit. As for Krauthammer… Are you telling me there‘s been a war he hasn’t liked?

I sure hope Charles is wrong on this one because four more years of the vile Marxist POS and his Obama care tax is permanent and this country will be ‘fundamentally transformed’ from a constitutional republic to a defacto communist state.Half the people in this country pay no federal income tax and we have millions more on welfare because this Marxist POS is encouraging them to get on welfare,it‘s simple when the takers outnumber the makers we’re finished,we’ll be a third world country just a Barry has planned all along.

That‘s right Barry can’t defend his record not even to the typical low IQ Barry supporter,if that person pays federal income tax even he with his limited intelligence could figure out he shouldn’t vote for the Marxist POS. Because the largest tax increase in American history goes into effect in January to pay for all the wonderful ‘free’ health care. It’ll be great we can stand in line for hours to see a doc and pay a lot more to do it,every Marxist’s wet dream.

We continue to talk about “this country can’t afford 4 more years of Marxism – it will destroy the country”.

Well, I hate to break the news to everybody, but it has already been destroyed. The only question is whether you are willing to accept that fact now, or if you won’t come to grips with it until it all “goes down”.

Anybody that continues to hold out hope that some kind of knight in shining armor is going to swoop down from the heavens, a la Ronald Reagan, and save us from ourselves is sadly delusional.

Perfect example of another infamous Ma Michelle quote to use against them-
We, we, we…what’s with the “WE”…..does she have a mouse in her pocket
or is she demanding all the peasants & peon adhere to HER demand ?

Fire up Ma Michelle’s “WE” clip and then,
followup with all the footage of her excess, her vacations,
her Alice in Wonderland Soiree’ at the White House, her non-stop parties

    Well let’s see,
No well informed Herman Cain supporter will vote for Romney after what he did to Cain. In fact if you go to Cain’s message board you will learn that after Mr Cain dropped out most of his supporters threw their support behind Ron Paul. Add to that the fact that no libertarian will vote for Romney.
The total equals 4 more years.
I would suggest purchasing your weapons and ammunition now while they’re still legal.

really…no libertarian will vote for Romney….it sounds like Ron’s own son is going too…i might not be a big L libertarian…but I am at the least a true small government Conservative Constitutionalist…I just don’t foam at the mouth for Ron Paul…I think he is actually part of the problem with the country…just another career politician that learned to play the game and unify a base so he gets reelected each time….he is just the Bill Gates of politics…great marketer with a crappy product…he knows what to say to get people to support him….
seriously…look into Ron Paul before 1985/6….he was just another no name GOP House member….he didn’t go anti-GOP until after he was snubbed by Reagan and the rest of the GOP labeled him a nutjob…since then he has made it his mission to “make them pay” by stirring up trouble and attack their positions and basically calling them names…all the while still playing the game of give and take and using taxpayer money to line the pockets of his donors so he gets reelected….

yeah yeah yeah…he talks a good game….small government, State’s Rights over central government, whatever will get his supporters out..(most of whom don’t even live in his Houston district)..free drugs, no taxes, gays are ok, God has no business in government…whatever….he is an opportunist and an exploiter just like all the establishment HACKS in Washington DC

The Marxist will win regardless, because we nominated another RINO. It’s as simple as that, folks. We’ve seen this movie before in 2008 and in 1996 and 1992, yet many of us fail to follow the basic storyline.

Also, that Obama will be re-elected is mostly a reflection on the poor character of the American people. We have to keep in mind that our brethren are making these disastrous choices, so we get what they deserve. There’s no longer any shame tied to voting for a candidate based solely on perceived – and short term at that – security.

I knew I would live to see these times, but never thought they’d arrive so quickly.

You don‘t actually believe that we’re gonna get out of this nightmare that cheaply do you? I mean some high unemployment for a while, nominal loss of home equity, same with 401k/IRA savings – you think that was bad???

Or, we can continue to delude ourselves into believing electing a “not Obama” is going to have any significantly positive impact on this nation.

My life is fine and will remain that way until I’m 6 feet under. However, that is not going to be the case for those a generation removed from mine. And, all for what? Krauthammer is an establishment media pundit…he only looks at the “acceptable” sources….it isn’t hard to see that Obama is LOSING the popular vote as well…just look at the demographics they all love to quote…

Obama support among blacks… 95-4 in 2008, most liberal polls show 90-10 Obama in 2012.. -5%
Obama support among hispanics…66-31 in 2008, again most liberal polls show 54-39 in 2012 -11%
Obama support among women…56-44 in 2008, polls now showing 49-42 in 2012 -7%
Obama support among youth…66-31 in 2008, polls now showing 48-41 in 2012 -18%

Catholics, Jews, Evangelicals… EVERY demographic group EXCEPT Union workers shows a DROP for Obama…just the switch in Catholics is an 18 Million vote swing…Obama only beat McCain by 9.7 Million votes

      http://www.westernjournalism.com/breakdown-demographics-shows-obama-trouble/

This is all based on polling done in April…granted…Romney has been losing in certain groups and areas….but by even a liberal point of view.. Obama is DOWN nearly 8-10 Million votes in the Popular vote…that is why all they care about is “SWING” states…they just want the electoral college because Popular really doesn’t decide the election… which is a GOOD thing because very liberal areas like the West and Northeast coastlines therefore can not control elections with their point of view and high population areas…it forces all States into play…
