Krauthammer on Obama‘s ’Lazy’ Comments: Shows His ‘Ill-Concealed Contempt’

Charles Krauthammer: Obama is ready to blame everybody except himself for the lousy economy

Hard at work in Honolulu during the annual Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation meetings, President Barack Obama made a comment that the United States has been “lazy” about attracting new businesses to America. As Dave Urbanski noted in The Blaze Sunday, the third time in as many months that Obama has “chided the United States for lack of effort in the competition for business.”

Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer responded on Fox’s “Special Report” Monday, telling the President to look in the mirror before blaming others:

“No one is asking him to go out there and a cheerleader. But when you call your own country lazy when you are abroad and call it unambitious and soft when you are home, I think what you are showing is nothing but ill-concealed contempt.  Obama is ready to blame everybody except himself for the lousy economy. The lack of investment. Why are people reluctant to invest?  We have the highest corporate tax rate in the world, in the industrialized world. Obama has spoken about it. One issue on which the republicans would have agreed on lowering that rate, eliminating the loopholes in three years in office. He has done nothing. Trying to shut down $1 billion plant that was constructed as a favor to obama union ally people look abroad and say this isn’t a place I want to do business.  It’s his issues, his overregulation over taxation. All the red tape he has added. Now he blames Americans’ laziness. Unseemly. “

Obama is talking about his supporters, obviously. And “lazy” fits perfectly. These are the only people he’s surrounded himself with since college, and that warps his world view.

Glenn Beck, Charles Krauthammer, and Michelle Bachmann are my living heroes – true patriots. I trust them to do what’s right. They have (mostly) the same values as I do and they don’t look down on the “little people” like Obama and his cronies do. I’m asking for only one thing from my family for Christmas: “Being George Washington.”
Thank you, Glenn, for waking the people!

Charles has it right. What amazes me though is that Obama knows those of us who oppose him are astounded that he so brazenly stands there and says up is down and down is up, floored that he is so full of himself that he says it—but he knows that those who support him are clueless and selfish and only hear what they want to hear. OWS is a prime example. Funny thing is…OWS is backfiring on the left. Maybe they should have orchestrated the movement for closer to election time instead of a full year ahead. Did they honestly think these idiots would be able to hold it together without crumbling into complete chaos? Sally Kohn is the worse—she needs to quit supporting the left because she thinks they somehow represent her interests. They don’t care about lesbians.

Not just “ill conceived contempt” we’ve seen that far too often with Obama. The “bitter, bible thumping clingers” can attest to that. No…Obama also demonstrated his usual under-educated grasp of geo-political peripheries when he said in Hawaii..“here in Asia”. So according to Obama’s own birth narrative he was born in Asia now? Not one of the 57 states? Do they speak “the Austrian Language” there?

I agree with Charles, alright. Who has been swinging on the levers of economic “stimulation” for the last three years? trying ‘get the economy back on its feet’? It sure isn’t the unemployed Americans. It isn’t the Americans that have no confidence in the short to mid term health of the economy.

IMHBLO, we are being set up to LOOK like consumers are the blame for not “spending” money (Money that we don’t have.) despite his Keynesian economic policies and beliefs that state the prime mover of economics is government spending, not consumerism (which we know makes up 65-75% of all economic activity in a free market).

I also want a dog that can think for it’s self, male or female, and not some half baked hunting breed that takes off after every squirrel that runs by, (yes, I saw “UP!” too, about a hundred times) A dog that can be trusted enough to be left to it‘s own devices but aggressive enough that it won’t be a push over, yet smart enough to know who it’s friends are. Kinda like a cross between a Border Collie, a Lab and a Pit Bull. RHETT, If that’s your dog, I’ll vote for it. If it‘s not and it’s all we’ve got…I’ll still vote for it. This proves that Mr. Obama is totally out of step with the American entrepreneurial spirit. In this, he is accompanied by the Democratic Reps and Senators. You cannot erect all sorts of barriers on the paths of entrepreneurs, frustrating them in their efforts to expand economic growth and job opportunities, and then call them ‘lazy’. If Mr. Obama is serious about the American economy, he should sit down with the Business and earnestly try to find an honest way out of the present doldrums; he should give up his ideological adherence to the intransigent Union bosses; he should refuse to be held hostage by the Environmentalists.

The one who is lazy is Obama for taking these campaign trips to raise money and attack the republicans and congress. Meanwhile he is not doing anything to engage in conversation and reach across the aisle to come to any compromise. That is because any compromise will be a sign of weakness to the extreme left that he panders to and is aligned with politically. Any tack to the center for Obama would take work and be counterproductive to his agenda (dismantling the USA and fundamentally transforming it).

Therefore, he goes on a virtual hiatus from dealing with issues to start his run in 2012 and make speeches that further divide this country. He is the do nothing President. Loriann12, you are absolutely correct in your analysis. People can not know that which they never see. It’s the crime of omission, as much as commission, by the press/media. This is how a very small group can amplify their voice, and power, in society.

I’m feeling stupid right now. I thought “Planet of the Apes” was a fiction movie. Now I don’t know with what I see in Washington.

This man HATES America and Americans. He is, to his very soul, a socialist of the most devious kind. His re-election could very easily be the end of America as we all know and remember it.

Obama knows he is hurting America and the economy, he knows his resignation would put America back more on track but he is not willing to sacrifice anything for the American people, in his eyes and i his heart, it’s all about him! It’s been all about him and his agenda all along!

Obama, “‘Ill-Concealed Contempt’…from HIS Grandfather, HIS Mother, HIS Father “s”…The man is either totally insecure so much so that he can’t “measure up” when he is abroad, so he puts America down in order to somehow level the playing field with the Europeans, OR ELSE, he is just a total narcissist who can’t take responsibility for his total failures in life, including his complete ineptitude as a leader! Send him to OWS…that’s the group he should be standing with!

Yeah, that is what guys like Krauthammer don’t understand; that Obama DOES NOT want the economic conditions in America to improve if improving means that the same types of people enjoy success. You know, the hard-working, traditionalists.

It’s a well known fact that a problem is never resolved without first defining it and understanding it. You have to understand the Marxist mindset if you want to ultimately eliminate the Obama problem. Many people think he’s doing his best, but his best is 360 degrees different in scope and context than the very people that are supporting him.

Sorry, Gary – you are incorrect on one point – MAObama lacks a heart, just as he lacks a soul.

Barry Soetoro is a demented empty shell, a totally artificial and manufactured monstrosity, the ultimate invention of the leftist rats in their 50+ year battle to topple America, its Constitution, and the God-given rights, freedoms and liberties of the American people. Barry “The-Infanticide-Commander-In-Chief” is a consummate and ultimate evil aided by legions of the ignorant and lazy who want what you have worked for, without exceeding any effort more than sticking out their hand and believing they are entitled.

Any being (in Barry’s case, not necessarily a human being), who would do to a society what this demented narcissist has done lacks a heart and lacks a soul. He is evil personified and must be thrown out of office at the earliest opportunity, otherwise, America and its people will be ruined, perhaps irretrievably.

He hates American and he hates the American people because we are smart and we know he is trying to destroy our economy, and our spirit so he can replace Capitalism with Marxism, burn the Constitution and make himself the supreme dictator. He is dangerous. He is insulting, and condescending, and has no room to speak since he has never had a real job, he is not an overachiever, he has never created a job, he has never met a payroll, met a deadline for a project, he probably has never been worried where his next meal would come from either. I am ashamed of him, and what he says about my country and my fellow Americans. I am praying everyday that Americans will see the light before the election. God Bless You All.

Kudos to you! I, too am ashamed of this imposter that has occupied the WH. I fear my future as well as my childrens’. Unfortunately, the anarchists and communists are starting to get a real foot hold in our society and I am sure BHO won’t do a dam thing about it.

Just wait. Soon you won’t be able to take your business outside. That’s why I always laugh at the “Mexican Wall” folks. LOL. You know that wall works both ways right?

No, he knows what he’s doing. “Directive 10-289″ will be here shortly.
