Krauthammer Responds to Trumps ‘Sad Fool’ Slam

If you missed the earlier rounds, let’s recap. Charles Krauthammer said some critical things about Donald Trump. Trump then called Krauthammer. Krauthammer discussed all of this with Bill O’Reilly:
Trump then calls Krauthammer a “sad fool” who is just seeking publicity:
And now Krauthammer tells Matt Lewis — he’s not sad at all!
“I‘ll let him have the last word and just explain that I’ve run out of adjectives.”

Posted on April 30, 2011 at 4:22pmI don’t know what will come of his campaign but it is so uplifting to hear someone actually offer a word of defense of this country. Maybe it’s the John Wayne syndrone but I like hearing him say what many of us have thought for a long time especially since Obama has been in office. He’s right about Iran taking over the oil. Everyone knows that and planting ourselves smack dab in the middle of their oil field and finally receiving payment for our effort sounds like common sense to me. Us being there might also help stop the califate they are trying to establish and would help our friends in Israel.

Posted on April 30, 2011 at 4:21pmLets see…. Obama wants to shut down our nation by starving our oil supply and Trump wants to get us some oil for service rendered. Trump is not an idiot like the politicians. He knows oil is the life blood of our economy. The politicians don’t give a crap about our country or we would be drilling in the white house lawn. The establishment is not happy with Trump because he isn’t playing their game.

…Like Obama, Trump has a tendency to be too “thin-skinned”.
This is , unfortunately, a characteristic of a narcissistic personality disorder at the very least, and perhaps an indicator of something much more serious.
Trump is the second coming of Ross Perot,”It’s my way, or the highway”. In this way too, Trump is too similar to Obama. Trump would be as big a poltical disaster as Obama.

The first time I saw him on Bret’s show, I thought there was something funny about the way he sat in the chair, so did a search on him. The man is very, very educated. He was in med school when he had an auto accident which crippled him – almost paraplegic. After that he switched to psychology and got his masters along with a degree in Journalism. For most of his adult life the man has be immobile. I agree that he is not what one would call pleasing to the eye; but after my search, I felt admiration more than anything else. Posted on April 30, 2011 at 5:49pmWhere/why do you think anyone is forcing their ideas or opinion on you? Their opinions are just that – opinions. You can listen or not. You can accept or not. You have a right to express yours and they have a right to theirs. Maybe Rachel Maddow or Keith Olbermann has opinions that more closely fit you. You sound about as angry as they usually do. If you really are a Conservative, focus your energy on ousting the Anointed One. In the 1992 election, Ross Perot put Clinton in the White House – let’s not let Trump put Obama back in the White House for another four years. That’s what is likely to happen if we lose sight of our objective with fights amongst ourselves. With the help of the Independents we can defeat Obama if we have enough sense to unite in a concentrated effort to send Obama back to Chicago. We will lose the “war” if we concentrate on winning FOOLISH and SENSELESS battles amongst our own or even with Liberals. The Democrats, with their incompetence, are desperately trying to give us a win in 2012 but we can refuse to accept with senseless squabbling.
Please — Don’t forget, it’s just my opinion – you can take it or leave it.

You are right. Trump cares about Trump. However, what is good for Trump may be good for the country. Elimination of Obozocare, highly reduced government spending, payments to the USA from countries such as Japan, S. Korea, Germany and any other country with a thriving economy. If they don’t want to pay for our protection, bring our troops home and SECURE the Mexican border, thereby saving millions of dollars used to rent bases in those countries. Lowering corporate tax rates but making all corporations, such as GE, pay their fair share of income tax. Duties on all imported goods and a tax on everything produced by American companies overseas and shipped into the USA. The list goes on and on.
The main thing is that Trump is ROCKING THE BOAT! He is bringing fear into both the Democrat and Republican parties. He needs to take on the Chicago gangster style of politics coming out of Washington these days. He needs to take on the ELIMINATION of all the czars. He needs to show how EPA regs are killing American business and how Obama’s pro union stance will further decimate manufacturing in this country. He needs to show definitively how the Obama Anministration is systematically destroying both corporate business and small businessmen alike.
I say, TRUMP, KEEP ON TRUMPETING! Rock the boat! Wake up the voters! Shake the foundations of the political mainstream. Embarass the liberal media. Expose waste and fraud where ever it exists. KICK SOME A**SES!

I do not think, however that all of these folks who are “Republican Blue Bloods” should be spouting off about the unsuitability of everyone who comes down the pike who is out of their “little list” of folks. If they don’t stop doing it, we are going to end up with another 4 years of Obama, and his minions, and I am not sure that this country can take it. They have been downers on everyone who came along from Sarah Palin to Christine O’Donnell, don’t even recognize someone like Hermann Caine who has announced a run. Posted on April 30, 2011 at 5:07pmThe Republican Party has always been too timid to even vigorously defend themselves against unjust attacks, whether it’s the time worn cliche of “racist” or just in-your-face-attacks by the radical leftist media and/or democrats.
They’ve been tip-toeing across egg shells for years now, without any passion of their own, with the mistaken perception that playing manager, when the role calls for being an intense activist, will win the day.
Karl Rove is the stereotypical fat party boss, with the big pot belly, smoking a cigar in a smoke-filled back room somewhere, hell bent on putting people in power who will take orders rather than those who are conservative, independent idealists, like Christine O’Donnel.
So when somebody independent comes on the scene with the necessary fire in his belly to tell it like it is, to the cowardly Republican machine, he’s like a bull in a China shop. It horrifies the lackluster types who think of themselves as being superior, because they come across as intelligent and reasonable. But it is just those types who are the reason the Republicans can’t get anything done when they do have power. The first time the radicals in the press and the extremist Democrats accuse them of racism or hate they buckle rather than giving it right back to them.
Trump will not buckle. He’s an uncontrollable element that will not kow tow to the party line in order to go along with the stiff upper lip Republican crowd who are no more than a bunch of spineless snobs. The Democrats are terrified of Trump, as they would be terrified if all Republicans responded to Democrat charges in like manner, as Trump does.
The Democrats don’t want him to run, because they know how effective he is. It’s what the people are begging for. Somebody with a spine instead of a foppish and weak politician who thinks its his job to grease the squeaky wheels rather than being a squeaky wheel himself.
It is Krautheimer, Rove and the other established Republicans who do not want to create waves even if it means fighting for their principles and for the people. They want to get as many party-line Republicans in power as they can and to hell with principle.
To them, being a good and resonable sounding punching bag is the way to go.
Go Donald Trump! Shake up the candy-asses.

Posted on April 30, 2011 at 5:53pmI usually enjoy Krauthammer’s insight, but really, he can‘t tell us anything about Trump that we don’t already know. That’s his problem here. Trump is such a public figure, everybody already has an idea about him, so unfortunately for Krauthammer who thinks he needs to explain Trump’s politics to us, this is all becomes nothing more than a personal spat. Besides, we all know Trump is first and foremost a business man and as such would not go attacking and claiming oil, he would negotiate oil for defense. And I can‘t believe that Krauthammer fell into the trap of comparing Trump’s experience to Buchanan’s. How about comparing Trump’s pre-election experience to Obama’s? The right needs to either find a candidate with larger than life experience or to give up that argument. Obama didn’t win on experience, and his “experience” is still no threat to a solid conservative candidate.

He is more thin-skinned than BO as is evidenced by the petty name-calling he constantly resorts to when challenged. He is a bully of the higest order and is only interested in this country from the perspective of how America’s future will help or hurt him.
He has been quoted in 2008 as saying he absolutely favors some kind of universal health care as well as saying that unions are good for America.
WAKE UP! Trump is not our man —– Colonel West is our man!

Posted on April 30, 2011 at 7:10pmI think it‘s good and obvious that Trump gets under Obama’s skin. That’s why he finally produced the birth certificate. Although I don’t take him serious as a candidate, I hope he contiunes to be a “burr” under obummer’s saddle.

Posted on April 30, 2011 at 7:11pmSad to say, I have lost respect Mr. Krauthammer’s political analyses. He may be right about Trump but he espouses just another RINO perspective of big government. He is a good man gone bad by accepting socialism as a means of addressing social issues. I have not lost respect for his honesty or intellect but his perspective is tainted by the old Republican attitudes of big government solutions to every problem, real or perceived, we face. His analysis is worthless when it comes to putting forward an honest constitutional solution to the many crisis that we face today.

Posted on April 30, 2011 at 7:19pmYa know, you’ve gotta love the Kraut, but either I’m completely clueless, or our once fearless leaders appear to be behind the curve, also not unlike Karl Rove.
Kraut keeps telling us how we can’t nominate “witches” and at all costs we must increase the debt ceiling. I say screw it. People are getting the shaft anyhow, so we may as well band together and make the necessary calls with, or without, the usual suspects.
All I’d like to tell Kraut is this: We’re way past voting party-line republican, because it has failed miserably over the past 20 years. We also realize that nominating the wrong candidate OR nominating a RINO just to unseat Obama is nothing more than a stay of execution.
So, I’d tell Kraut, Rove and the rest of the RINO’s the feel they know best; hop aboard or be left behind.

Posted on April 30, 2011 at 7:30pmMaylou7, if you think the reason Delaware was lost was because of Charles Krauthammer and Karl Rove being frank and honest about the fact that Christine O’Donnell was an unelectable candidate, you’re delusional.
Look, I’m very conservative but if you people keep insisting that only 100% ideological purity will do, that you can actually pass effective legislation by drawing lines in the sand and holding your breath until you turn blue, that negotiation and compromise are not part of governing in a free and open society, then you’re doomed to hand power right back to the progressives when the majority in the middle see that you are over-reaching to the right as badly as the Democrats over-reached to the left.
We are going in the wrong direction but you can’t safely stop a runaway train by pointing the tracks at the side of a mountain and that seems to be what the far, far right thinks they want. Be careful what you wish for.

Posted on April 30, 2011 at 7:33pmAnd Trump is a buffoon. With his F-bomb speech, he just negated any positive influence he might have had. Given his past political donations, you should wonder if he’s not trying to tarnish the Republicans.

Posted on April 30, 2011 at 8:15pmI think Krauthammer is just another “part” of the republican political establishment. I‘m not saying that I’m all in favor of Donald Trump, I am saying That I don’t think we need another damn establishment politician for ANY office – let alone the presidency. Michele Bachmann or DeMint would be the only two politicians I would consider right now. I just don’t want anymore politicians.. WE need people in office that have American Values, Principles, and Policies…the kind that made this the strongest, bravest, most prosperous nation on earth. Right now WE have the world (and some inside this country) fighting to weaken change America….WE need people who will Fight Back – to strengthen and keep US strong.

Posted on April 30, 2011 at 9:50pm1) O’Reilly is not a serious thinker – he goes on feel and has no philosophy of govt.
2) Trump has a backbone – but no brain wrt politics (populist = opinion poll)
3) Krautheimer is the smartest of the group, but is still too old school republican. The govt is stealing and wasting our hard earned money and making the US unproductive.
I’ll never vote for Trump – you have no idea what he will enact. Give me a tea party candidate – Bachmann (best so far), Pawlenty (maybe, needs to stand up to RINOs), Palin (makes me nervous – VP maybe), Cain (lacks govt experience – VP), Huckabee (never he’s a socialist), Romney (Big govt past – only if he’s the only choice),

I like your critique… I would only put Ron or Rand Paul atop The ticket for President with most others as their VP…As I see it, Ron and or Rand are the only two whom have no hidden agenda….
Bachman occasionally seems as if the Neo cons have some strings on her….But overall she seems to be alright….My vote is still for a Paul, hopefully….. Good post!

Posted on April 30, 2011 at 10:44pmMILITIAMAN, “The Democrats are terrified of Trump, as they would be terrified if all Republicans responded to Democrat charges in like manner, as Trump does.”
There, you are wrong my friend. Democrats would love nothing better than for Donald Trump to be the Republican candidate. And Democrats would love for all Republicans to respond to charges as Trump does (and Palin does). The only other person Democrats would rather run against more is Sarah Palin, who is also as thin skinned as Trump as has a similiar history of, immature, middle-school sniping at anyone who criticize her.
IMO, President Obama didn’t ask the state of Hawaii to release his birth certificate to cave in to The Donald. He did it to promote his candidacy. I’m serious.
There is the idea on the website that the average American thinks Trump or Palin are just what this country needs and would vote for them in the general election. But I’ll tell you right now, I’d switch parties and vote for either of those two in the Republican primary if it would help assure their victory.
No, sorry, Obama doesn’t fear running against Trump. He’d rather run against him or Palin than anyone else.

Posted on May 1, 2011 at 12:11amOkie from Muskogee: I thought his critique was fair as well but I’d vote for Trump in a minute. Although his 3rd point about Krauthammer I think misses the point. Krauthammer’s a Neo-Con Jewish War monger whose only interest is establishing more power for his tribe.
Finally JZS, Inblack and others on here completely writing off Trump is a huge mistake. He will make mince meat of the entire Republican field with the exception of Ron Paul. He seems to get more credit than RP even though RP has always maintained his positions..
As a Conservative I’ll just have to take him at his “current” word and I will. One last thing. Observe that honorable, noble, venerable, trustworthy accountable… etc Media establishment have two candidates that they can’t tolerate and they are Ron Paul and Donald Trump. They’ve already marginalized RP in the eyes of a vast majority of the country; however, they are having a little more difficulty marginalizing Trump! But it’s not from a lack of effort.
Did you witness the Correspondence Dinner tonight when the Comedian Meyer (Jewish) went after Trump? My goodness they are out to get Trump.. Trump’s a wild card and he has stepped over the line. The Apartheid must put him back in his place for how dare someone question their appointed one.

We agree, the dems would love to run against Trump.
But “as far as I can tell” Trump will not be running.
If he is foolish enough to try, he will be dispatched easily.
I wish I could take bets on it.

Posted on May 1, 2011 at 10:36amYes, this could mean the end of the two party system, and rightfully so… We elected republicans in 2010 to put a stop to obama’s ridiculous policies… they have done nothing but “cave” to obama’s demands… If bohner and the rinos continue on the same path, the result will be a “split” that will result in obama’s re-election…
Time for a 3rd political party… Will the “Tea Party” stand up and be counted???
