Krauthammer Slams Liberal Hypocrisy on Rush, Points to Maher and Louis C.K.

During “Inside Washington” Friday night, the always outspoken Conservative Washington Post Columnist Charles Krauthammer weighed in on the current controversy surrounding Rush Limbaugh. Krauthammer gave his opinion that those on the left who have so heavily criticized Rush for his comments regarding Sandra Fluke should change the channel to liberal companions guilty of similar misogyny, such as comedian Louis C.K. and million dollar Obama super PAC contributor Bill Maher.

“The hypocrisy on the left about this about Rush Limbaugh, as if he is the spokesman for the Republican Party, and as if misogyny is exclusively the province of conservatives and Republicans,” Krauthammer said. “It’s out there all the time Maher, Chris Matthews, with this guy — is it C.K. Louis, or Louis C.K. who is going to be the emcee at the congressional correspondents dinner. So, when I hear a denunciation on the left, I will expect one on the right.”

The Daily Caller cut video of Krauthammer’s stand on the issue Friday:

Why does the Blaze management even waste time talking about the left being up set with Rush, Hannity, Beck, etc? The left cannot really dispute most any of the facts these conservative hosts speak, so they go after any source, legal or illigal , any kind of slander they can spin to the dumbest among us. They will always appeal to the down and out or the elitist liberals who prosper by the corrupt policies of the left. Rush has more intelligence and skill ,than all left wing commentators!
Charles is extremely smart and of course the lefties can’t deal with it! Rush will continue doing well!

I don’t much care about Rush insulting poor Ms Fluke. Rush is an entertainer. His show will live or die depending on listener support or non support.

Let’s stick to the issues and forget about the non-issues the libs keep putting in front of us.

This election is about the economy, gas prices, unemployment, entitlements, no or poor leadership from obama. obama is running us into the ground, taking away our liberties every chance he gets and trashing our Constitution.

We need to stand up and stand together to defeat him in Nov. Let’s not get sidetracked with non issues. The main stream media is once again doing all they can trying to set the agenda for him to win.

Quit playing their game. Discuss issues and solutions.
Beat obama by pointing out, over and over his failures. There are so many. I don‘t understand why the R’s aren’t using what they have at their fingertips to show how bad things are.
How many people are out of work or under-employed. Look at the price of gas. That hits everyone. Use it. Just because obama says something doesn’t make it true. These things do matter to us. Start now saying it over and over that obama is running this country into the ground. Show examples over and over. Beat him at his own game.
Birth control is not an issue. It’s available everywhere, and often free. Quit letting the libs side track this election.
    TALK ABOUT THE REAL ISSUES.

@ Encinom… The ‘left“ did not treat comedian Michael Richards comments towards a black audience member during a stand up performance in 2006 as ”comedy”. As I recall they were apoplectic.. There were demands for an apology and even monetary restitution. Al Sharpton Jesse Jackson, California democrat politicians, they all got their face time in the MSM. Google the incident, or better yet you tube it. Now explain to me WHY the left went nuts on Richards, yet Maher gets a pass. I’ll tell you why. Because the former went on a racist rant against a black man, and the latter obsesses over conservative women and says the most vile things about them. Black man…. Conservative woman. It’s not about the crass comments at all. It’s about the target. Blacks are a protected class in the media and the democrat party. They are shielded and given preferential treatment. Conservative women, not so much.

I‘d agree with you if it weren’t for the point that in our day & age, perception is reality. The media controls the perception and purposley avoid the real issues and want only to focus on the hot button topic of the week.

What are the Republican candidates supposed to do when every single beat reporter & major news network anchor insistantly asks to talk about issues that get drummed up instead of things like the economy, gas prices, or foriegn policy?

If they spend the time to defend themselves, they spend that time NOT talking about gas prices, housing market, economy. If they DONT spend the time to defend themselves, they get painted as out of touch, aloof, insensitive…and otherwise not fit for president.

I also believe progressives and leftists are shameless creatures who believe in different rules for different people…as they see fit. And the worst busybodies amongst them readily assert rules don’t matter… when they (the enlightened ones) know best. Defend as you will. For your own good and the good of the collective, you can and will be told what to eat, think and own. Funny how progressivism and leftism so readily embrace dismissive totalitarianism… for our own good, of course.

Funny how 2/3 examples he provides don’t even DO the same thing as Limbaugh–they make JOKES for a living, as opposed to Limbaugh and Matthews who both purport to be objective “reporters of matters of fact.” Well, sorry, but when you start claiming to be saying OBJECTIVE, rather than SUBJECTIVE, things, the standard of scrutiny is higher and your CREDIBILITY becomes an issue.

Furthermore, just USING the words “slut” or “****” ISN’T the problem, ISN’T what is sexist–anymore than black people who choose to use the word “******” are inherently racist against black people. Because the MAJORITY of black people who use this word, aren’t IMPLYING that black people are an inherently INFERIOR “race” group to whites, whereas many people who DO use that word (in a pejorative sense) ARE implying just that. Now, certain “female only” derogatory words may have been in bad taste when they were used by “newsmen” like Limbaugh and Matthews, but Limbaugh’s ATTITUDE towards women, as a group is different, and OBVIOUSLY sexist (in that, he thinks that women who use contraception, or more specifically those that need help paying for it, are categorically sluts), than JUST saying the words “slut” or “****.”

The comedy part is your unfitting outrage to what Limbaugh said. The reason you can’t judge where to set your outrage is because it is completely manufactured. You also state “helping” those who can’t afford contraception. If you can’t afford $4 a month, you shouldn’t be engaging in an act that can produce a child anyway. Remember contraception is only 99% effective, abstinence is 100%. This all goes back to “censoring” what you hate, and the fairness doctrine. I don‘t think anyone really believes what you’re saying.

Where does it end? I need the Internet to refill my prescriptions, so I should testify and get the gov’t to pay for it. Oh, I need a clock to know when I need to take my medication, I should testify and get the gov’t to pay for it. Uh oh, I have to walk to my mailbox to get my medication. I should testify and get the gov’t to pay for a mailbox, my shoes, some winter-clothes for those cold days and some summer clothes for those warm days (it’s illegal to walk outside naked). Uh oh, I can’t read anything without glasses, so I should testify and get the gov’t to pay for those…wouldn’t want to take too many pills now would we!

See how stupid this crap can get? And yet people like you will say there is a “war on blind people”, “war on shirtless people”, “war on mailboxless people”, “war on Interwebless people”, and a “war on shoeless people”. Time to stop acting, your feigned outrage gave you away.

Well all HELL broke loose in the same main stream media that is now protecting people like Maher and Louis CK. with this fabricated comedian shield. You do know the difference don’t you? I disagree–if Limbaugh were poor, I would say this shouldn’t mean that his substantive right to have progeny should be waived. Viagra should be covered for those who can’t afford it–so too should contraceptives.

Ask yourself, which is BETTER for society? Fewer unwanted children that their parents can’t take care of? Fewer sexually transmitted diseases? Or the opposite? The choice is relatively obvious for any rational person. I’m tired of this stupid arguments over “who’s fault it is”–yeah, that’s nice, I don’t care; I care about what WORKS. Forgive me for my impatience, while American veterans are homeless, Americans die on the streets of hunger and exposure, American soldiers die for the enrichment and profit of people who don’t have a DAMN about America OR her people, who have worked at EVERY turn to exploit and squeeze the American people for EVERY LAST OUNCE OF PROFIT THEY CAN GET, before packing their bags for Singapore, Hong Kong, or any of the many numerous Laissez-faire paradises. Yes, FORGIVE me, if my sympathy for such people has run dry, while so much REAL suffering takes place. 1) Considering that, until you replied to ME, there weren’t ANY posts from you on this page, I don’t see how you can be offended as though I were directing anything I said at your specifically and personally.
      2) Yes, I do think the government has every right to take the course, of all available to it, that provides the greatest good to the greatest number. So to answer your question–the REASON is the public good. The government has done much much more, for FAR FAR less obviously beneficial (in fact, sometimes outright NEGATIVE) reasons in the past. I obviously think we should avoid doing the negative, but the government’s ONLY POINT in existing is to do at least SOME of the positive when it is within its power to do so.
      3) Contraception is useful for more than just recreational sex–it ALSO can help sex, of any kind, be safer (in terms of the likelihood of contracting a venereal disease), as well as many hormone based forms of contraception can make the periods of women, some of which are debilitating, much less unpleasant.
      4) Some percentage of people WILL become pregnant with children they can’t afford. They, and quite likely for some of their life at least their children, will almost certainly end up on the public dole anyway. So is it better to be preventative and have fewer of them, lowering costs, or not?

      Third-
When you post on a public site, you speak to every visitor on the site. ALL CAPS is shouting in contemporary writing. I did not say I was offended, I stated that I don’t like it. I criticized the manner in which you seek to use guilt manipulate me into paying for others birth control (and viagra). I also do not like being told wealth=greed. Our sense of independance and self sufficience are being eroded. How else do you explain demands that free contaception be provided? Rubbers are very cheap, until the government starts giving them away. Using rubbers to sleep around is fine. Why do you demand that I pay for it? That is why I describe it as recreational sex. All of the benefits of birth control you state are correct. It helps society. I am pro birth control. I am sick of other people’s pet projects being financed by producers. I make a good living. I have earned every penny. All of you folks who want to give away health care or whatever should pay for it yourselves. Stop telling people who actually make money they are evil for it. You know, people will fail to use birth control even when you give it away.

STEELHEAD: “I really don‘t like the idea of paying for Rush’s recreational sex either. I’m sure his viagra is covered by his health insurance plan.”
Apparently you haven’t the power of thought process to figure this simple statement out. I’m sure that you would find this fact rather odd, but what necessitates the use of Viagra is an actual medical malady. While natural procreation is not. The medical malady is exactly what medical insurance was designed to cover.

I’d be willing to be that the number of insurance companies/policies that cover Viagra is pretty small.

I would suppose that unless a doctor can convince the insurance company that there’s a benefit to taking Viagra for a reason other than creating an erection for casual sex (like using birth control pills for ovarian cysts rather than birth control) not many insurance companies are gonna cover it.

In Barrack’s world, The Left, this election is about class war, rubbers, and women haters and racist’s.
In the real world, The Right, this election is about the economy, gas prices, and fiscal sanity.

Slut or slattern is a term applied to an individual who is considered to have loose sexual morals or who is sexually promiscuous. The term is generally pejorative and often applied to women as an insult or offensive term of disparagement, meaning “dirty or slovenly.”[1] However some women have demonstrated saying they’re proud of being “sluts”, and have given it a positive connotation.[

Does this mean that Rush was complimenting her?
