Democrat‘s Ad in Louisiana Senate Race Includes ’Re-Enactment’ of Prostitute Encounter

(AP) — The Democrat in Louisiana’s Senate race is airing a documentary-style television ad detailing the prostitution scandal that sent GOP Sen. David Vitter scurrying from public view in 2007.

Rep. Charlie Melancon‘s campaign won’t say how much it’s spending on the two-minute ad, which started airing Wednesday on cable systems across the state.

The ad features a grainy black-and-white re-enactment of a man resembling Vitter leaving a motel room. It also includes scenes from the news conference where he admitted to an unspecified “serious sin” after his phone number was found among records of a Washington prostitution ring.

Vitter’s campaign has not responded to a request for comment on the ad.

Ah the wonders of the attack ad.. Wonderful stuff really, if you cannot say anything good about yourself try to make the other person look worse than you (though in some cases this can take a lot of work). Politicians are human (sort of, or at least might evolve into state someday) and humans make mistakes.

If he kept making said mistake then I could see a problem. Seems though that he learned from his error, dealt with it, and kept it quiet (that last is highly appreciated). Let it go.

With all the trouble we are in, sex doesn’t bother me, not nice to cheap on the wife and kids though. Whenever I hear the dems talk about lies and breaking the law I laugh out loud. Ballsy to run again after getting popped.

Sorry to have to say this, but….hanging with a prostitute just might be way less infectious than hanging with the human debris of DC,especially the democrats. At least you know you are getting screwed with her,the dems will tell you and say anything except the truth about how bad they are going to screw you.Besides,I thought a persons sex life was a private matter even if lied about under oath while being the current occupant of the oral office.

Obviously his opponent can’t win on the issues so he is turning to dirty politics. Personally, I don’t care that he hired a prostitute in 2007 as long as he learned his lesson and works to stop the destruction of this country.

Ahhh… The worlds oldest profession and most honest. You just have to look at it for what it is. You can bet your bottom dollar (pun intended) that our girl here didn’t report her income on her 2007 tax return! Now lets look a little farther… did our boy take the fee as a business entertainment deduction? After all, our girl is a voter and he is a politician is he not? The fun one good ad man could have with this just never ends!

I was married once, and once is all it took. I’m here to tell you that hookers are a heck of a lot cheaper than divorce and dollar for dollar a better deal. Think about that the next time you drop 5 bills on dinner, show tickets, and drinks… when all you really wanted was the happy ending. This one only cost 3? A deal at twice the price!

Hookers are a time saver. If his wife was anything like my ex, It took more time and effort to negotiate the terms of engagement, always had strings attached, and was rarely (if ever) worth the hoop jumping! I personally think our boy had a problem, solved that problem so he could move on to the next problem with a clear head! (again pun intended)! And talk about efficient… brownie points must be awarded!

Obama and his administration are attempting to rape each and every one of us… where is the happy ending in that? There is your counter TV commercial! At least our guy paid for it!

It figures that the Dems would start muckracking. Maybe I’ll do the same with one of their elitist leftist loons who likes to throw out Vitter at every opportunity. It happens to be Bob Beckel who consorted with a 20 year old internet ****** (at $300.00 per hour.) The ******, Maryam Massihi,
and her cohorts decided to extort $50,000. in hush money from the weasely Mr. Bechel who ran
Walter Mondale’s presidential campaign in 1984. Evidently he paid his ****** by check, “which proved helpful when cops began probing who was trying to shake down the 53 year old Beckel.” His ****** is currently in the slammer, facing extortion and conspiracy charges. Mr. Beckel does not seem the least bit embarrassed by this situation…..he’s probably a student of Slick Willy Bubba Clinton, the Shameless Cheat. If the Dems want to keep diving in the cesspool, I am sure we can find a story equally disgusting about one of their own.

We don’t. I believe this is about hiring a prostitute, which is a pander and a solicitation. Both are crimes, as well as symptoms of people with very poor character. That it involved sex is ancillary.

I will repost this here. I just saw a report and they are going after Meg Whitman now. Seems she had an employee for 8 years who LIED and said she was a US citizen in CA. She filled out a 1099 and showed her drivers license and signed the paperwork that she was a legal citzen. The she went to Meg Whitman in 2009 and for some reason had to admit she WAS NOT legal and that she had lied. Whitman had to fire her and told her she could not keep her because she would be breaking the law. NOW the girl has come out with SOME story about being USED? UGH, this is not going to be pretty. Wonder who is paying her now and how much? WOW, they just won’t quit with the personal attacks. Can’t they win on the issues? Guess not. This is seriously getting really nasty!

Meg followed the law and made sure she was legal, The law doesn’t allow you to verify all documents volunteered by a potential employee. The woman gave her false documentation. The woman finally came clean years later, and Meg fired her. Case closed. She followed the law. Now, will the democrats follow the law and deport her? No. Gloria Allred is using her to bring a conservative gubernatorial candidate down, and then they’ll throw her away. Progressives are easy to read, difficult to exterminate. The 2010 pesticide may be very though, let’s hope so.

I’m from Louisiana and Vitter IS the problem and needs to go. Melancon, the other candidate, is WAY worse than Vitter on the voting records but Vitter is part of the establishment, talks a good game but doesn’t do anything else but talk. If he were serious, as all candidates should be, they would run on a once and done and if they falter they would relieve themselves without having to be told or voted out. Just the mere fact that he is running again shows his arrogance and elitist attitude towards the State he represents. He’s a joke

If there are no lies in this ad then it is a valid reminder.
