Two Border Patrol agents reportedly gave a Cirque du Soleil audience in Del Mar, Calif. more of a “show” than they were hoping for.

The two agents stand accused of engaging in a public “sex act” together during the performance, which occurred on May 27. The pair then allegedly attacked a woman after they were told to get a room, CBS Los Angeles reports.

The offenders in question have been identified as Kallie Helwig, 24, and Gerald Torello, Jr., 35, according to San Diego Sheriff’s Office investigators.

Witnesses say Helwig performed oral sex on Torello in front of other members of the audience while they watched the show.

CBS Los Angeles has more:

One witness says she asked the couple to stop and claims they got very angry.

“While I’m watching her, she’s staring at me and she’s throwing punches in the air. And you can hear the guy saying, ‘You can take her, babe. I got your back,’” the unidentified woman said.

The witness claims the male agent held her while the woman punched her in the face.

Both of the agents were reportedly off-duty at the time. They are on paid leave while Border Patrol investigates.

KFMB-TV in San Diego also reports that the agents were off duty at the time. Helwig has argued that she was attacked first. Witnesses, however, have not backed up her claim.

A report released by the local Sheriff’s Department says witnesses also described the pair as drunk.

Additionally, KFMB describes the injuries of the victim:

Photographs show injuries to the face of the woman who claimed the agent attacked her. She said Agent Helwig, “…just turned around and socked me right on my left eye. She got me with a punch to the right jaw and left jaw. I had a black eye and a knot in my forehead.”

Agent Helwig was ultimately given a misdemeanor citation for battery, while Agent Torello was detained for being drunk in public and later released.

Neither agent was charged with any crime related to a sex act in public because, according to investigators, witnesses in the audience did not see any specific sexual contact.

“She had her head in his lap. It looked like her head and her hand where moving up and down and it looked like she was giving him oral sex in public,” the unidentified female witness said.

The witness also alleges that Torello, the male agent, gave a 5-year-old boy a high-five during the incident. There were reportedly other children present.

“The guy was so lacking in judgment that he felt it was okay to give the boy a high five while she was giving him a blow job,” the witness added.

In a statement, U.S. Border Patrol Special Operations Supervisor Steven Pitts said the department is taking the allegations seriously.

“All CBP employees are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner while on or off duty,” the statement read. “CBP stresses honor and integrity in every aspect of our mission, and the overwhelming majority of CBP employees and officers perform their duties with honor and distinction, working tirelessly every day to keep our country safe. CBP takes every allegation of misconduct seriously and each allegation is investigated.”

The alleged victim of the assault is planning to file a lawsuit against the agents, security at Cirque du Soleil and maybe even against the operators of the Del Mar Fairgrounds, according to the KFMB report:

      RangerP you need to study Rome yourself. I understand what your saying but the Roman Empire was at it’s height during the worst moral excesses and while it was by far majority pagan. The Western Empire fell about 150 years after it became officially Christian. Moral and political corruption are a huge (maybe the largest) problem for the United States but ancient Rome is a poor model to point to considering it’s history.

      Seriously folks, why is this a story? A sex act betwen two consenting drunk people in a public place and one of them punches someone out. Okay, that’s not pretty and not too cool. And they deserve to go to jail, like lots of other people who do stupid things when they are drunk.

      So why is this a story? Because it involves border agents and the fringe right doesn’t believe we are doing enough to prevent Mexicans from coming to our country! And this is what all our agents our doing, having sex! instead of catching Mexicans crossing the border like they did when Bush was President.

      When you do the math, and see that 93% of sexual assaults against children are done by men, and when you see the numbers of boys molested by men, then the numbers show that a third of child molestations in this nations are male adult to male child. Male to male sex is homosexual.

      The MSM will not say so (it violates PC), but Jerry Sandusky is a homosexual. he has sex with other males.

      Check out the stats coming out of the state of Vermont. One of the first states to promote gay couples in taking in foster kids. It aint working out real well for the kids, when you see the numbers of boys getting raped by their foster parents.

      Regardless if you like it, gays disproportionately molest kids. Nothing new, has always been that way.

      The headline starts out with two words, “Lacking Judgment” a story about two private citizens involved in a sex act. What has happened to The Blaze? Why would you publish such a story at all; I’m sure there are hundreds of such incidents throughout the country weekly that come to the attention to local authorities. What’s worse The Blaze has also put names to these two. Why? Would Jason Howerton or any other member of The Blaze have written the story if the girl was their sister/daughter/wife/ and even printed their names. What have we all become that we don’t complain?       So here’s some further thought for you and your friends here. It’s a guess, but imagine that 99.9% of rapes are committed by heterosexual males. Does that sound about right? So what does that prove? Assuming you are a heterosexual male, does that make you inclined to rape women?

      Actually most violent crime is committed by heterosexual males (because most males are heterosexual as you point out). So what conclusions do you draw from that? That being male should be condemned because they are responsible for most crimes (and wars probably?). Or do reserve that conclusion for homosexuals only, even supposing perps statistics are true?

      Which leads to my second comment.       Thanks for doing it anyway, some of the grammar on this site is atrocious. They certainly decimate the language. I could care less if they ever wrote another sentence again.       Dictionary definition of decimate: “Kill, destroy, or remove a large percentage of. Drastically reduce the strength or effectiveness of.” Sounds like a proper use to me. If you are breaking it into the word parts “deci” and “mate”, it would mean “1/10“ and ”copulate”, which would mean only completing 1/10 of a sex act? Maybe that word is related to this article after all. Hmm…

    Sadly – the CBP claiming that the overwhelming majority act honorable is no longer enough. They must ensure that all representatives act honorably if they want to preserve the public’s trust. The standard is clear if one person in an organization lacks character and honor the WHOLE organization suffers and will be penalized. It is up to you to correct these problems but when taxpayer funding is involved – we can demand the standards are met and maintained.
    Morality is NOT relevant or subject to interpretation. Tighten up!

      Sadly I think this more common among this generation than you think.

      Oral sex is constantly poured onto this generation though TV, movies and the web. It is being portrayed as the norm in causal “romantic” relationships.

      ABC family’s The Secret Life of the American Teenager, includes it among teen relationships.

      They of course will claim they are just reflecting teen behaviors but of course they are norming the most vial behavior they can find. ABC is truly one of Satan’s prized possessions.

    Have you ever been to a Cirque du Soleil show? The public sex act was probably the least disturbing thing that happened all night.

    I appreciate the fact that the agents avoided criminal charges for a public sex act because no one actually saw sexual contact. Perhaps the first time in history someone avoided prosecution because he has a really small p3nis.
