MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) — A Las Vegas billionaire with ties to Newt Gingrich has given $5 million to an independent group backing the former House Speaker’s presidential bid.
A person familiar with the situation said casino mogul Sheldon Adelson made the contribution Friday to Winning the Future, a pro-Gingrich super PAC. The person said Adelson would spend heavily to assist whichever candidate wins the Republican nomination.
Adelson is a longtime supporter of GOP candidates and has been a friend and backer of Gingrich for many years.
Gingrich’s campaign has struggled since a super PAC supporting Mitt Romney spent $3 million on ads attacking him in Iowa.
The Washington Post first reported the $5 million contribution. Politico reported last month that Adelson was prepared to spend $20 million to help Gingrich.

Same thing all over again…
The man that could actually change things for the better, Newt…is being over looked, in favor of a more ‘Generic’ flavor…Romney or ‘Bush’ type…
It will be the 2000 election cycle all over again…elect a generic Rep, vs electing one who could actually make a difference and whom actually is educated on how to get things done in DC

I want a President with common sense, no fear of the media and the ability to not only get things done, but choose the right people around him to get them done. The electorate is once again allowing the elite faction of the GOP (aka RINO’s) and the media to choose our candidate–and that really worked out well for us with McCain, didn’t it?!

Are you are as sick of the complete dishonesty and deciet from the left as I am? As usual Newt was articulate and eloquent (without the aid of a teleprompter). He refused to be confined by the narrow bandwidth of the questions asked. He presented a broader view framing his answers in a bigger context. This cerebral approach is what makes Newt a more formidable foe to go against the Anointed One, his royal highness, Emperor, Tyrant, and Usurper Barack Hussein Obama. Newt’s experience, Congressional negotiation skills, and myriad ideas on how to steer America in the right direction makes him the best POTUS candidate to elect in 2012. Enough with the Mitt Romney-Ron Paul Barnum and Bailey circus maximus already. Time to coalesce behind one GOP candidate – Newt Gingrich, strategize and take action to defeat this useless, inept White House Occupier (WHO) – with no disrespect to the band of the same name intended.

Posted on January 8, 2012 at 6:12amThat is the only way that we can go the constitutional amendment route seeing the Supreme Court just allow the expansion of the super Pacs, there is no other way around it and right now feels like it might be the appropriate time to push your legislators forward on this idea, that will let them know that the citizens of this country demand this change. Until the elite feel the pressure nothing will change. The only other way is to become an informed citizen and understand who would what the person you’re going to put in office to represent you truly believes and actually has a track record to follow through and what they say. it is my understanding that the Democrats as well the Republicans are losing their bases more & more people are becoming independents like myself and both parties fear that because they don‘t know which way we will vote in other words they don’t have a secured vote and that really really scares them seeing the rise in the independents. Why do you think they put so much emphasis on the independent voting block because they cannot control us, so as some people have said maybe an independent party might be an option in the future just my take.

Posted on January 8, 2012 at 2:34amFailure of a career politician named Ron Paul
Paul, who has served 11 terms in three different stages dating back to 1976, didn’t get a single law passed until 2009, when he authored a bill that allowed for the sale of a customs house in Galveston, Texas. Failure is often the norm in Congress, where only 4 percent of proposed bills get a President’s signature, but Paul’s approach to lawmaking is particularly suited to not getting things done.
Of the 620 bills sponsored by Ron Paul during his long career in the House of Representatives, only four have ever made it to a vote on the House floor and only one of those became an actual law. An analysis by The Washington Post shows that Paul’s success rate of 0.2 percent falls far below that of most legislators, as Paul has chosen to stand up for his personal crusades, rather that build coalitions for more popular, but less ambitious, proposals.

As your income rose the higher your mortgage would go for my brother and friends of mine it was a perfect opportunity for them to own a home and feel proud. This was primarily set for low income wage earners which gave them a hand up not a handout. But the way our society has become most wouldn’t even respect the opportunity that was given them because in their eyes they want it for free. Mr. Gingrich probably if asked would show you the amount of income that he derived from said organizations. He has already stated the net was 35,000 that should not be too hard to disprove if inaccurate would you not say, Mr. Romney will not allow us to see his tax returns as he is stated he feels it‘s none of anybody’s business really? Posted on January 8, 2012 at 12:22amAfter tonight’s debate, I can’t see how Romny could be the nominee. Newt would never allow the media to bully him with an irrelevant question like Romny was tonight. Romny couldn’t even handle Stephanopolous; how’s he going to handle the Obama big red machine?

Posted on January 8, 2012 at 2:24amActually, arresting judges is a “bad” idea. It would be best to give them time if the crimals that they allow out say in 3 months commit a crime, then the judge should also do the time!

Posted on January 8, 2012 at 5:42amSo you really think the ninth circuit should exist? I think what he was trying to convey with the absolute corruption in our courts for instance the one recently in California stealing $2500 from Neiman Marcus, how about Floyd Mayweather in Las Vegas being able to wait until June to start to serve a 90 day sentence because he says he has a fight may that would bring great revenue to the city. I think that what he was trying to tell us is that where we can make a difference we should, when you have different Justice Department‘s saying that the healthcare laws unconstitutional and now will be decided by the Supreme Court may we all hold our breath as Michele Bachmann said if this continues to go through America’s done as we know it. How many radical judges have you heard giving suspended sentences for atrocious crimes, the system is broke and it needs a fixing.

as more aggressive and will pay for it later. Newt seemed more displeased with the q

Posted on January 8, 2012 at 5:53amgo go let me see if I have this right Mitt Romney gets an endorsement from the elder Bush, John McCain, Nikki Haley and the Sen. from New Hampshire her last name starts with an A now these last two were put in office through the tea party movement. As far as the Gov. Haley and the senator from New Hampshire go how their constituents feel about them that I cannot answer, but as far as John McCain and the elder Bush most people know where they stand on them. For me there will be three people who I’ve will be looking forward to seeing who they will back, the first Jim Dement, Sarah Palin and Herman Cain. I suspect Jim Dement at the time back Mitt Romney because he knew what John McCain is or has been, as I receive his newsletters voting for strong conservatives I believe he was like the rest holding his nose and backing Mitt Romney against the progressive John McCain.

I Hope they all go back to Positive Please give me someone to vote for.

Posted on January 8, 2012 at 6:01amAs far as Las Vegas goes you have three heavyweights in the town, Sheldon Adelson, Steve Wynn and the man that runs the MGM resorts can’t think of his name offhand. Sheldon Adelson is a free market entrepreneur and backs Republicans, Steve Wynn is a free market entrepreneur and sides with the Democrats until this last election and what the president has done to the country, the third who runs the MGM strongly backed Harry Reid and most of the Democrats in Las Vegas. The CEO of the MGM along with Harrahs bused their employees to the polling booths, therefore Las Vegas ended up with Harry Reid instead of Sharon angle.
