‘Late Night’ Band Boasts About Playing ‘Lyin’ Ass Bit**’ for Bachmann Entrance Music

Earlier today, we noted Michele Bachmann’s lighthearted appearance on “Late Night” with Jimmy Fallon. For the most part, it was benign, and culminated with Bachmann attempting a few jabs at her opponents during a comedy bit. Harmless, really. No room for claims of “gotcha” or media bias. But then we got word that Fallon‘s house band is boasting about the song it played for Bachmann’s entrance music, “Lyin’ Ass Bitch.” And now you can be sure that a fairly innocent appearance is about to get much, much bigger.
(Related: Glenn Beck calls on Jimmy Fallon to fire “Late Night” house band)
In a tweet last night, the drummer for Fallon’s band The Roots (whose Twitter picture shows him posing with Obama) sent out the following message:
And for those who didn’t catch the entrance, a follow-up tweet had a more obvious reference:
Sure enough, if you watched the actual program, you would have heard it:
Note, however, that NBC pulled the video that was in the original post:
They have since put it back up:
As for Fallon, he responded with a vague quip on Twitter:
For the record, here’s the original song:
According to the Washington Post, neither Bachmann nor NBC have responded (outside of pulling the video showing the incident).
Mediate, which notes that the band has done this before with other guests, responds:
As Spin points out, this isn’t the first time The Roots have used their song choices as commentary. Previously, they scored Ashlee Simpson’s appearance to a Milli Vanilli song and welcomed Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt with the song “Loser” by Beck. All of which is very funny. However, there’s a big difference in calling an MTV reality star a loser and calling a presidential candidate a bitch.
On his radio show Tuesday, Glenn Beck mentioned that he talked with Bachmann after taping the “Late Night” segment and she said that she felt it was a good segment and Fallon was fair.
We’ll see if that changes.

Posted on November 22, 2011 at 3:28pmThe liberals are scared to death of Bachmann and Palen in particular. Both have the power to galvanize the female vote and that would be a liberals worst enemy. They will continue to degrade their character as much as possible to keep them from building any kind of momentum. Of course they want an exclusive on the race card so Cain will get blasted. I’m sure this guy had his orders and did as he was told or else. The liberals are in charge of the media so keep that in mind and don’t believe anything that you hear from there and expect some sort of conservative bashing on every broadcast.

Bet they can’t even tell you where she is from much less anything she has ever said. This willful ignorance and willingness to get caught up in what they *think* is cool to do is why this country will be a full-on crap pile in another four years. (if we make it that long) I wonder who these losers are going to cry to when all the money has been bled out of everyone down to the middle class? When no one can afford their cable and advertisers can no longer advertise, are they willing to do their gigs for free? I highly doubt it. Idiots.

How I would treat the average Hollywierdo I might have the misfortune of running into on the street. I would avert my eyes and ignore them with an extremely closed mind, eyes, ears, and thought. These Hollywierdos are beneath contempt and deserve to be ignored, their shows unwatched, their lives impacted to the point they can go live in a freaking box near the LaBrea tarpits with the other bums.
Jimmy Fallon and his staff that put togeither that sorry excuse for a show will get nothing from me.

Posted on November 22, 2011 at 3:49pm“Ron Paul wants Iran to have nukes,” “Ron Paul wants to cut defense,” and “Ron Paul is an isolationist.”
None of those are true, of course, but that will not stop them. Paul has consistently argued for following the Constitution, which gives us no authority to violate the sovereignty of other nations, get involved in entangling alliances, or undeclared wars. He does not argue for or plan to cut defense, only the unconstitutional militarization that has us in 150 countries.
If those deliberate misrepresentations do not work, look for them to go after domestic issues: “Ron Paul supports gay marriage,” “Ron Paul is not pro-life,” and “Ron Paul wants everyone to smoke weed.”
Again, these charges are not true, but that only matters to journalists who value truth. Paul has argued that the church ought to define and sanction marriage, not the federal government, and at the very least, the question should be given back to the states since the Constitution does not give the federal government the authority to define marriage.
Ron Paul is consistently pro-life (because he also believes in ending pointless wars) and has proposed legislation that would overturn Roe v. Wade by limiting the power of the Supreme Court (H.R. 300). I wrote about this a while back as well. The Republican-led committee to which the legislation was referred demonstrated their great concern for life by failing to even vote on it.
If that doesn’t work, then attack Dr. Paul f

Then he died a confused man, killed himself with his own mind
We’re gonna die

Report Post »Discord
Posted on November 24, 2011 at 10:45amMeaning seeing masculinity as a sign of superiority somehow. Superiority based on anatomy or traits attributed to one sex/gender (they are separate, mind you) or the other is just silly and sexist.
