Laura Ingraham Airs Scary ‘Obama Remix’ of Jimmy Carter‘s ’Malaise’ Speech

One a peanut farmer from Georgia, the other a Hawaiian Harvard law grad, before entering politics President Obama and former President Jimmy Carter came from extremely different backgrounds. That said, an increasing number of commentators and political opponents have made the comparison between Obama and Carter administrations. This Friday, Conservative commentator Laura Ingraham aired a scary ‘remix’ of Jimmy Carter’s infamous “Malaise Speech” over recent lackluster Obama rhetoric.
Friday marked the 32-year-anniversary of Jimmy Carter’s “crisis of confidence” later pegged “malaise speech,” a nationally televised and ill-received address trying to combat what Carter saw as apathy and doubt among Americans concerning politics and the energy crisis. In the days following the speech Carter fired cabinet members feeling that his administration failed to capitalize on a window of opportunity, which some believe was the beginning of the end for Carter and his ability to appear as a strong and significant leader.
Thirty-two years later another first term Democratic president faces a crisis of continued economic decline and failure to bridge heated political differences from Capital Hill to Main Street. Ingraham’s audio suggests that like Carter, Obama is failing to step up as a strong and believable leader in the eyes of Americans looking to him in a time of crisis.

His mom was in indonesia, he was 10 and in hawaii and his father was in africa. I was living in Germany when I got my SSN, so it’s easy for me to say from first had experience that if his mother applied for his SSN while living abroad, that the SSN could be issued from a state they’ve never lived in. I’m no fan of President Obama, and I hope he loses big in 2012. But our best bet to get rid of him is to focus on issues like the economy and Obamacare, not issues that will have the MSM accusing us of wearing tin foil hats.

the only problem is that the Social Security Administration says that it never issued the Social Security Number that barry soetoro is using. Actually it belonged to a person born in the late 1800′s and is deceased (the SSA doesn’t re-use numbers).
not only that but when you enter 042-68-4425 (soetoro’s alleged ssn) into the Selective Service database the return is Barack Hussein Obama II. (I don’t believe that you can enter this number anymore, they’ve shut it down……..surprise!)
These aren‘t fanciful imaginations I’m pulling out of my arse. These are responses from US Government databases.
The first thing barry soetoro did to the US Constitution is not fulfill the eligibility requirements of the office he is usurping.
You can be a sheep if you so desire, that characteristic is foreign to me. I sometimes think that people can’t actually grasp the severity of obama not being eligible for the presidency. I guess you are right, Carter and Obama are nothing alike. If you overlook the abandonment of Israel, socialism, economic ineptitude, and the same blathering speeches.
Carter didn’t insist that we get re-involved with Afghanistan, he was just the first president to have the US boycott an Olympics over Afghanistan.
Carter wasn’t the commander in chief for 1/4 of the duration of the Afghan war and isn’t responsible for 2/3 of the deaths of US troops in Afghanistan due to the stupidest rules of engagement of any war, that would be Obama.
However Carter did look just as inept over the Iranian Hostage Crisis. Now if Obama would just reintroduce the draft for military service they would be almost indistinguishable from each other.
Oh wait, there was Obama touting an armed “national civilian security force” to rival the U.S. military and mandatory “community service” for all children.
Oh, well, I give up.
