Leaked Red Cross Email Shows Org. Prepping for Violence at NATO Summit in Chicago

Red Cross Preparing for Violent NATO SummitLast week, residents of a Chicago apartment complex were advised they might want to leave ahead of the NATO summit in Chicago on May 20. Their building is near the epicenter of planned protests, and the building’s manager thought they could be put in danger. It seems that wasn’t a fluke: according to a new report of a leaked email, the Red Cross is prepping for possible violence, too.

Local station CBS 2 obtained a copy of the email sent to volunteers in the Milwaukee, WI, area asking them to be ready to assist.

That email said the NATO summit “may create unrest or another national security incident. The American Red Cross in southeastern Wisconsin has been asked to place a number of shelters on standby in the event of evacuation of Chicago.”

But here’s where things start getting really interesting: no one is fessing up to telling officials to prep for such action, and instead there’s a lot of finger-pointing. CBS 2 explains:

According to a chapter spokesperson, the evacuation plan is not theirs alone.

“Our direction has come from the City of Chicago and the Secret Service,” she said.

Officials at Chicago’s Office of Emergency Management and Communication said the directive did not come from them.

The U.S. Secret Service did not return calls for comment.

But that’s not all. CBS 2 has also received reports that a “heavily armed security team will start making a very public appearance around federal buildings in the Loop this week.” Officials and other sources, however, denied those reports.

Those reports might be based on the federal government’s decision to create a “red zone” to protect federal buildings. The Chicago Sun-Times reported last week that such a zone would include armed security forces on patrol. The Sun-Times explains:

The Chicago Sun-Times reported this week that the plan for “Operation Red Zone” kicks into high gear next week to protect a vast area in the Loop where thousands of federal employees and dozens of government offices are located.

The Federal Protective Service will deploy additional personnel beginning May 1 [May Day], bringing in more people from out of town and outfitting them in “battle dress uniform.” They will be carrying “non-lethal” long guns — bean bag weapons — in a show of force that at the same time will allow people to move in and out of the zone freely, federal employees were told.

Of course those involved with the protest are trying to downplay the news. One SEIU member, who according to the news outlet is training protesters, compared the reports to “Y2K” and said people will eventually say it’s “not a big deal.”

Try telling that to Chicago resident Brad Klein: “I feel a little bit unsafe, just a bit more than a little bit. It doesn’t make me feel like I want to be in the city during the NATO conference.”

    it‘s nice to see the appropriate agency reading it’s self for their stated mission,a national disater.
    it’s nice that the new conservative media has all this audio, and video, of o’bama,his administration,and his political cronies,unions, soros,mmfa,socialist,script readers,of the american press,and the big cities pc mayors and police chiefs, to present to the american public in the aftermath,showing their purpuseful, support,and backing of this national disaster.
    it will be reported as bushes, conservatives,and the 1%ers as being resposible for other peoples personal actions,the evidence will show just the opposite of what they’ll report, the audio and video tapes will be confirmation.
    please take 5 minutes of your time and read the preamble to the constitution,ask yourself is there anything in there these people or groups of people are doing to help or keep a constitutional america alive,anything.

    It’s good to see that Illinois gun ban is going to keep the city of Chicago safe. These people need not worry about the dangers because the government took all the right steps to take away lawful guns. The Red Cross is just being alarmists. Everyone loves Obama and no one wants to do anything bad to his city.

    Why is it the more I hear about Chicago and the ‘evacuation plans’ so many groups are being – ahead of time ‘advised’ to actually do the more concerned I am that this is the main event of Obamas rise to dictatorial power. This is just too much of a coincidence to be that.

      Although the president can declare marshal law and suspend the elections, does anyone really believe this will result in this country lying down and accepting it? Just because Obama starts this fight, doesn’t mean he will bring it to an end. No one has fought back so far. I have far more confidence in the citizens of this country to rise up under God and take this country back. Although this has been a hard lesson, the correction of this country drifting too far away from God and His laws are coming and soon.

    To win it must be “Kent State type” violence. I really think it will be in late summer (just in time for the elections). Will O shut it all down…martial law style?     Why are we wasting so much tax money on these dregs ? Take those same special security team members, give them all the weapons (THAT ACTUALLY KILL PEOPLE!) that they need, and their orders are: Kill on sight any trouble makers right away! Do not give verbal or physical warnings. When you see the trouble makers, shoot them in the head and let the body fall in the street. Rinse, Wash, Repeat!

    I am willing to wager that after the first few animals hit the pavement and are dead, leaking brains all over the streets, the rest of the savages will fall right into line.
