Most of us whites in the southwest were well aware that the vast majority of real Mexican immigrants are just as “American” as themselves. I don‘t remember the hate levels back in the 70’s as there is today. The PC crowd has just created this racist atmosphere everywhere they go… and La Raza is the worst. Their goal is anything but the “fair” goals their leaders espouse. This country was WELL on it’s way to being the most tolerant society on earth, and now it’s going backwards at a real fast rate.

I don’t know if these people protesting are racists; there is nothing in the footage that indicates they are racist or violent. They seem to be loud obstructionists. The term “La Raza” is not a racist term. It was coined by Jose Vasconcelos to describe how Latinos should stop looking for differences among themselves and should concentrate and celebrate what they have in common. There is a common language, culture, religion, etc. They (Latinos) should think of themselves as a “Cosmic” Race working together for the benefit of all.
Replace the word “Latino” with “American” and the same could be said for us. We, Americans, are a people of a common language, English, with a common culture and religious freedom (we are not a mostly Catholic nation). Conservatives have been calling for all Americans to work for our common interests. Democrats want to celebrate our “differences”. Are we an “American Race” bound by our ideals and our Constitution? I’ll leave that for you guys to decide. Is our common heritage more important than the cosmetic differences in our races? Hmmm.

They cannot win in an actual calm discussion of the issues. So they are resorting to mob rule. Everyone must search their own soul and decide which side they are own. Troubled times are here and it will only get worse. It is time to make a stand and if necessary fight for freedom.

Your response of “Let them try to come and take it” is what these people need to hear. We can no longer be passive and let them think things will be handed to them because they can scream louder. Like Texans, we have to demand that America is ours, not yours……nor will it ever belong to any group of people who break the laws so casually.
