Left-Leaning Media Outlets Will Make it Possible for You to Read Palin’s E-mails

Left Leaning Media Outlets Will Make it Possible for You to Read Palins E mailsThink you know everything there is to know about former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin? Think again.

Since 2008, Mother Jones‘ David Corn has been actively petitioning for access to and public release of Palin’s e-mails. Following in the footsteps of Corn’s initial request, other media outlets subsequently began formally asking the Alaska government to release the e-mails Palin sent during her term. Mediaite sheds additional light on the scenario:

The state of Alaska initially told Corn that they had located 26,552 pages of emails, but are redacting 2,353 pages for unspecified reasons. Along these same lines, Palin apparently also used a personal email address for some of her official correspondence, and while the Alaskan government recovered some of these by looking through the official inboxes of some top officials, it’s possible that some communication was done among Palin’s personal account and the personal accounts of other State officials.

In sum, 24,199 pages will be presented for public viewing. In fact, Yahoo! reports that “Mother Jones, MSNBC.com and ProPublica“ are preparing to make the documents available for mass consumption ”in a searchable archive.”

In an op-ed for the Anchorage Daily News piece, Paul Jenkins writes that the e-mails may paint Palin in a very negative light:

The emails are going to be — if released in readable form after passing through lawyers‘ hands and being scrubbed by the governor’s office — delicious. There likely will be little good news in them for her. Having read only snippets of emails in Palin staffer Frank Bailey’s book, “Blind Allegiance to Sarah Palin,“ or ”Hey, I Got Emails Nobody Else Can Get and I Can Make Some Dough,” the venom, bullying, intimidation, absolute paranoia and craziness of the Palin administration spins off the pages.

What do you think about this? Should Palin’s e-mails be released by major media outlets in a “searchable database?” Once public, the media will surely find appealing tidbits to feature and focus upon for some time to come.

how does it feel to want. you can’t get anything Obama has written or said for how many years ? Seems that kind of stuff started with Nixon – but there is a number of years before they can be made public – unless someone can get him impeached and get them for evidence.

I dont think any government communications, outside of communicates about active military operations or those communications involving active criminal investigations should be sealed.

If there is something bad in there, it should not matter if it is Palin or Pelosi,

However, if it‘s permissible to make Sarah Palin’s emails public, let’s make sure it applies to all politicians/political figures and their supporters evenly. The Obamas, George Soros, Van Jones, Francis Fox Piven, Donald Berwick, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Ben Bernancke Cass Sunstein and Samantha Powers, Mahmoud Abbas, etc. I’ll bet if this were the case, the libs would be singing a different tune…

Yeah, I remember David Corn — he was one of the very liberal writers for AOL News when I used to blog there. He always wrote the most horrible biased, hateful articles on her (& others of course)….like the rest of them I suppose. Hmmm…maybe this will backfire and there‘ll be many people who will vote for her if she runs just to get back at them for the horrible way they’ve treated her from day 1. It‘s about the worst I’ve ever seen. And, as others have said, here we’ve got fraudulent, treasonous, lying Obama who was protected from all of his school records, (not to mention the bc), etc. It’s really despicable. But I’m comforted by the fact I know God knows all about it and has His plan, which I think is being unfolded as we speak & hopefully some of the corruption will be exposed and come out in the near future – in time before the election. The libs haven’t counted on any “God” knowing what they did and intervening to bring justice……ha! Justice and truth and the American way!!!! Yes!!!

I don’t really think any of these guys are Moslem. I think they have joined forces with the Moslems and “think” they are using the Moslems to advance their Communist ends, and they plan to dump the Moslems when their objectives are achieved. I’m just not so sure the Moslems with their “kill everybody” mentality will be that easy to control. That strategy might turn around and bite them in the a$$, in the end, so to speak. If we are lucky, they and the nut-case Jihadists will fall to fighting amongst themselves and kill each other off. After all, to the mad-dog Moslems, THEY are also infidels, are they not? Knowing the Moslems, they will only be able to contain themselves from killing the Commie infidels for so long.

Yes, it’s legal. “State officials, while planning to release the megabytes of messages, say they’ll withhold another 2,415 pages that the state feels is privileged, personal, or otherwise exempt from Alaska’s disclosure law. Sec. 40.25.110 of Alaska’s Freedom of Information Act law says that unless specifically provided otherwise, the public records of all public agencies are open to inspection by the public under reasonable rules during regular office hours. (http://news.cnet.com/8301-13578_3-20068101-38.html#ixzz1OAYPQa98).

Oh that’s horrible? Republicans’s would never stoop that low? Republicans in Wisconsin made a Freedom of Information Act for the emails, not of politicians, but University professors. And the ID of the emails the wanted? Any email with the word “Rachel Maddow” (who was supporting the labor unions) among other keywords. The idea? To discredit University professors by declaring them liberals using the university email system for personal use (like none of us do that).

And who was the money man for that effort? The Koch brothers. The puppet masters of the Tea Party. The people using their wealth to manipulate politics for their own gain.

I just emailed Fox and asked them if they can get a hold of this adminstration’s emails and release them for all of America to see. The obama and minions emails during their campaign and up to now, would be extremely interesting reading.

Sooooooo, Blazers — contact Fox and the White House about releasing this adminstration’s emails.

So what . That should open the door for conservatives to do the same to liberals . I want to know what Soros or any other progressive public figure is saying and who they are saying it to .My guess is what we hear from the progressives/socialist will be a whole lot more distasteful to the American people that what the likes of a Sarah Palin is saying. Lets lay it all on the table .

Here’s a solution that will make all politicians shiver. Every email generated by a public official will automatically be copied to a public inbox that can be viewd by everyone. Maybe ists time for email in the sunshine. Of course this will apply to all congressmen and senators as well as the White Hosue staff and the President himself. They could call it the Public’s Right To Official Electronic Communications Access Act. It will never happen, but it was worth the suggestion. Obama can even appoint a czar to oversee the collection and posting on line. LOL

Having watched Palin manipulate the media, her initial followers and now much of the Tea People I would say she very much wants those emails made public. Should be good for a lot more undeserved media attention and ways to make more money doing nothing that is very productive.

No kidding – I bet there are some that would curl your hair in Obama’s emails with his Commie pals, like Bill “We would probably need to eliminate 25% of the population” Ayres.

But you can be sure with their hysterical fear and hatred of Palin, there would be lots of taking out of context and “spinning” for the worst possible interpretation if they get hold of her emails.

@Snowleopard — after all, when you think about it, those emails sent during office hours are not “their” emails–they are OURS, and as such, we are entitled to see them. Courts have ruled numerous times to this effect in cases involving employee emails sent on company time in private companies. Why should Obama and his left-wing cronies be exempt from this? If they are going to start opening emails, then they should be prepared to make their own public as well.

Sarah isn’t perfect, but I don’t think she has anything to hide…I wouldn‘t blame her if she didn’t run for president…look what they do to her just on the speculation she might run..I am ashamed of Americans that do things like this

Well, that’s the problem – it isn’t REAL Americans doing this. It is leftwing, traitorous Commies who will do ANYTHING to bring this country down who are donig it. They hate and fear anybody who might get in the way of their grand scheme for “fundamentally changing America”.

Of course they will never let us see the POTUS’ emails – they will wrap themselves in the “national security” blanket and refuse to release them. And nobody in this gutless government will have the nerve to call them on it. But we could still demand to see a lot of OTHER people’s emails . . . Nazi Pelosi, Harry Reid, and a whole BUNCH of those Czars he appointed in the dead of night that are donig God knows what with no Constitutional authority . . .

I don’t know why her e-mails as Governor of Alaska aren’t fair game in the public arena. I expect every e-mail I send from my word address to be public, otherwise, I send it through a private address.

Also, I never perform work from my personal address. That’s a bit odd.

Sarah Palin and every other government official is responsible for their use of tax payer time and materials. I’m shocked at the groupthink taking place among some of my fellow Blazers.
