Left-Leaning Poll Finds 52% of Americans Approve of God’s Job Performance

Last week Public Policy Polling, a left-leaning North Carolina polling organization, released the results of several polls mostly relating to Americans’ perception of Congress. However one group of questions engaged Americans’ current feelings toward God, if “it” exists:

“Though not the most popular figure PPP has polled, if God exists, voters are prepared to give it good marks. Voters approve of God’s performance by 52-9 margin, making God about as popular as Murdock is unpopular. When asked to evaluate God on some of the issues it is responsible for, voters give God its best rating on creating the universe, 71-5.

They also approve of its handling of the animal kingdom 56-11, and even its handling of natural disasters 50-13. Young voters are prepared to be more critical of God on natural disasters with those 18-29 rating it 59-26 compared to 47-12 among those over 65.”

Forty percent of those surveyed answered not sure to, “If God exists, do you approve or disapprove of its performance?”

Public Policy Polling Finds 52% of Americans Approve of GodNine hundred and twenty-eight Americans were surveyed for the study between July 15 and 17, with a margin of error at +/-3.2 percent. The same press release showed John Boehner had an approval rate of 33 percent, the same as the rest of Congress. However, more Americans were unsure of Boehner’s performance while much more were disapproving of the performance of the legislative branch as a whole.

      Charles Stanley once said something to the effect:

      “Judge the world by what the Word says about it.
      Don’t judge the Word by what the world says about it.”

      How absurd of a question.
      His ways are not our ways.
      His knowledge is obviously ABOVE ours.

      We are not to question. (Although we do.)
      And you know what?!, …. He’s okay with that. ;)

      We have a LOVING God.

      My thinking is that God is not concerned how his job performance is rated. Is he supposed to do something to improve his numbers? He’s not a politician, he is our Creator!

      It is liberal arrogance. Had they read the “book of life” the Bible and chosen Him…they would not even put forth such a poll and the poor pathetic people who took the poll.. well it just shows how degraded the left is. They did not give Him the glory, nor did they give Him thanks, and so their foolish heart was darkened.

      And the reason the marks are higher for the older population on natural diseasters, is because most know that GOD is not RESPONSIBLE for natural diseasters. This world is controlled by Satan. God allows it because He knows His glory can come through with how people react to it.

      I would advise the 92% of respondents who didn’t “disapprove” of God‘s job performance to read Heller’s classic novel Catch-22. Yes, if I had infinite power and resources at my disposal, I could do a much, MUCH better job than God has done.

      Be prepared to see media poles that make you scratch your head in the next year..These liberal outlets will make the Republicans and Tea Party members look bad at every opportunity and make you think you are standing alone in supporting them..I wouldn’t trust a single poll from now to the election..The give away was the wording in the first question..My guess is this poll was never taken..It was invented..

    We know our God has a sense of humor-look around. We know He understands beauty and magistry, look at the world, He understands love, we are His children. He made the world and everything in it, and then gave us free agency. Since he gave us simple rules for happiness, if we are not happy, well that is man-made not His. We really don’t get a vote, our lives are strictly up to us. He waits to bless us when we humble ourselves. Frankly,I do not have the nerve to question His job, that seems to me to be arrogant on a level I don’t even want to go to. I think I will try to stay humble, as best I can. Stupid thing to do in my opinion, good luck in explaining that one some day!

      Divorce rate among American “christians” surpasses that of other religions

      Only 5% actually support their church financially by tithing (giving 10%)

      I wonder if given an actual DEFINITION of the word “Christian”, what would the percentage of Americans be who qualify?

      Parable of the Virgins = half don’t make it to the wedding
      Parable of the Talents = 1 out of 3 are ejected from King’s presence

    I’m so tired of hearing about “polls” that claim they know of what a certain percentage of “Americans” approve or disapprove. In place of “Americans”, every poll taken should use the word “respondent”. I don‘t know anyone that’s ever taken any of these polls and I certainly wouldn’t want them representing my viewpoint. So, for this poll, one would say that 52 percent of the poll respondents approve of the job God is doing. As far as how the rest of America feels, they have absolutely no idea.

    My neighborhood does not have any good polling places.

      That right there skewed the poll leftward because it eliminates all those who refused to participate in the poll for its stupid language about God. Most conservatives would have read that question and turned their back on the idot pollster. Those that thought the question worth asking would naturally be more liberal as a group.

      What a stupid, stupid thing to poll. Ugh.

      As far as “it” is concerned the usage is a way to avoid using a gender-specific pronoun. I personally am guilty of not using pronouns when referencing GOD, I just say GOD over and over instead of he or she. The usage of “he” in English can be historically be considered a neuter pronoun, despite what crazy PC people will tell you.

      Whew! I’m really glad that at least that many approve of God. But, I think this type of foolishness falls under the category of “every idle word shall be judged.I wonder what response the idiot-bozo who dreamed up this poll will have to give when the Lord asks him about this.
