Lesbian Student Crowned Homecoming King at Calif. High School

Lesbian Student Crowned Homecoming King at Calif. High School

Lesbian student Rebeca Arellano was crowned her high school's homecoming king Friday.

A lesbian student was crowned her high school’s homecoming king Friday, a first for the San Diego, Calif. public high school.

In fact, Rebeca Arellano, a senior, and her girlfriend Haileigh Adams could be the first lesbian homecoming royal couple in the country if Adams — one of two female students nominated for homecoming queen — is crowned as well.

“They were chanting my name and it was one of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever had,” Arellano told San Diego’s 10 News.

During an interview with the station, people in cars drove by shouting things at Arellano including, “You guys are an amazing couple!”

Arellano said she and Adams began dating her sophomore year of high school, the same year she came out as gay.

“It is crazy to think that a few years later I am being nominated as king,” she said.

The couple said they weren’t originally planning to run for homecoming court, but decided to after receiving an abundance of support from family and friends.

“Any of the guys are not happy about me running because I‘m taking a guy’s place, but if there was any other way to do it and have two lesbians that are a couple win, I would,” Arellano said.

“Another student that’s also a lesbian, she said, ‘We won’, which was what I wanted,” she added. “I love Patrick Henry for supporting me.”

Ben Cartwright, an LGBT activist and a 1998 Patrick Henry graduate, said he had hoped this day would come but never thought it would.

“Patrick Henry [High School] has always sort of been a little ahead of the curve, but I could not imagine this happening then,” Cartwright said.

Several months ago, Francis Shervinski, a freshman at Columbia College in Chicago, was crowned his school’s homecoming queen.

And God warns all those who simply “approve of” these things . . .
“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven
against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men . . .
For even their women exchanged the natural use
for what is against nature (lesbianism).
Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman,
burning in their lust for one another,
men with men committing what is shameful (homosexuality) . . .
that those who practice these things are worthy of death (Hell),
and not only those who do the same
but also those who approve of those who practice them!”

So this quasi-hottie is the most masculine creature in the school worthy to be called “King”? Tolerant much?? Your slip is showing boys. I don’t agree with The Beach Boys anymore …“I wish they all could be California girls”. Shoot, I bet The Beach Boys no longer believe that themselves. Let California go it’s own way. It doesn‘t have a ’traditional‘ bone left in it’s body anyway.

Yuri Besmonov in his YouTube video explained back in 1982 how homosexuality is but one tool of political indoctrination. Looks like there are some who are falling for it, it’s all part of the shadow government plan to make American vulnerable.

Attack and decry masculinity. Deface and criticize the founders, and true patriotism. Encourage environmentalism over energy production. Vilify religion in all Hollywood advertisements euphemistically called movies. Promote the anti-war agenda and portray America as aggressors. Weaken America militarily by spreading her thin over many different war fronts. Promote homosexuality and multiculturalism. Show the good and noble side of every bad guy. Give felons voting rights. Eliminate the death penalty and infiltrate courtrooms with legalese rather than common sense.

Portray Russia and China as peaceniks. Never reveal that they now own most of the oil delivery chokepoints in the world. Portray Islam as a religion of peace.

Install a President who believes the Constitution is lacking redistributive recompense to “victims” of the free market. Infiltrate the school system with socialist apologists. Fail to teach any economics other than Keynes or Marx.

Psychological warfare is still warfare but on a different front. All of it with the grand goal of softening up America so she can be taken off guard.

Why did Kruschev pound his shoe on the table and say, “We will bury you?”

He knows how to “hypnotize” people by demoralization. The Russian and other communist ideologists know the tricks of the trade to lull people into political con games.

There is only one god, but god gives us many doors through which to walk into his presence. The way, the truth and the light is not Jesus, it is the willingness to acknowledge a supreme being. The traditions and prejudices of religion were invented to divide the seekers and establish privilege among the few. And so I reject your dogma of exclusion. Our human failings are no match for god’s willingness to forgive them. Here’s the question: when you get to heaven and see Hitler there, will you turn and leave?

Your Sensei, You are correct about the forgiveness of God… He can and will forgive all sins except one, “Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit”, (the unpardonable sin). I can definitely see that you have some knowledge of the Word of God, but it is not just a book, and cannot be read like one. You must pray for the Spirit to open your mind to receive a knowledge of the truth.

      1 Corinthians 2:13,14
These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Your Sensei, I would also like to thank you for your not taking offense to the “ignorant” comment. It just goes to prove my earlier comment about your intelligence. Most people would have read “I’m calling you stupid” into that comment.
I can see that you are intelligent and educated, but a little further study of the Word of God is in order here. There is only One Way to the Father, and that is through Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. Not all rivers lead to the ocean. God has made provision that ALL may be saved, but He also tells us that not all will be saved.

      Yo Sensei:
IF, and I say if for your benfit there is “a” God, there can only be 1 God, 1 kingdom, and 1 king. It is not a shared position. He also does not let me TELL Him who or how, He tells me….. it’s what a king does. Jesus is not exclusive, He is ALL inclusive….. The most popular bible verse clearly explains this…. John 3:16…..do you know it ?… if not please read it. It begins by saying this… “For God so loved the WORLD”….meaning EVERYBODY…. and continues and then again says “ that ANYONE who believes”….

If I invite you to come to my house I give you the directions….. I don’t say figure it out for yourself.
Oh, in cause you try it… there is only one road that leads to it, and it’s not on a map made by men.

      Senseless,

Do you approach the physical universe the same way you do religion? are all conceptions of the universe equal to you? Is a Geocentric universe equal to a Heliocentric one? Or is one more exclusively right thatn the other? To me Truth is both exclusive and inclusive. A true statement makes its contradictoies false. It excludes them from the grouping of Truth. But it also is inclusive in that a truth is true for all of reality. E=MC2 is true for every aspect of physics (I am still working under the assumption that THAT theory has not been overturned yet by the Swiss).

So the truth about who and what God is is true for everyone, because there is one God, as you say. thus there cannot be more than one reality concerning his essential properties. We may perceive only a part of that reality, but whatever part we do truly perceive is true for all others, whether they perceive it or not.

It is interesting that you talk about the forgiveness of God and then mention the possibility of Hitler being in heaven. If I saw him I would assume he got there the same way I did: by repenting of his sins and accepting God’s way of things. I would be very surprised if I found Hitler there and found he had not changed his mind about God and things, like the moral rightness of exterminating the Jews. If you were there and found Hitler there too, thinking the same things he did in life, would you not wonder if you were in heaven, or somewhere else?

Yes, but perceiving part of the truth truly doesn’t mean that all of what you perceive is truth. To use your example, E=MC2 is true everywhere, but Einstein wasn’t right about everything. The same book can contain truth and lies. I think that each of us must rely on our own brains and hearts, because those are the only two things we can know without doubt were given to us by God, and whatever you get wrong you will at least be living by your own errors and not somebody else’s. Of course when I try to tell this to the robotic fundamentalists who infest this website, they say that if they had to live that way they would feel like I cut off their legs and tossed them into a pit of quicksand.

An interesting philosophy, Chet, but one that seesm to me more interested in autonomy that in Truth. I love autonomy, but a lonely death is the purest form of autonomy, so I like my autonomy moderated by something greater and more permanent than myself. I also know that both my heart and brain are not to be trusted infallibly, my heart especially so. But as you say, they are the only things we know we have. So I follow my brain along the path that both it and my heart agree upon, which is a search for meaning. Now my brain makes plain to me what my heart can only feel: that there is more out there but that I can’t reach it. Thus, if the desires of both my brain and heart are to be answered that answer must come to me rather than I to it. I must have it revealed to me, or to someone who can show it to me in a way that I can understand it and understand how it is the answer.

In brief, the only way that I can know God is if He makes himself known to me. That raises the question of whether my desires are natural and common to all mankind, and if so, hsa God actuallly provided such an answer. This makes the epistemological question also an historical one.

      cont.

All of this is prologue, of course, to the question: Has God revealed Himself, and if so, what has He said?

If we have reason to believe that God has made Himself known then our beliefs about Him are no longer simply a matter of what we conceive in our brains and hearts, except insofar as they are able to discern which ideas come from the source of divine illumination and which do not. This goes back to the earliest question posed to us, “Has God really said…?” The question deserves rational consideration, and if we conclude that god really has said… then it is both irrational and a denial of our hearts highest aspirations to put what has been revealed on the same plain as all the other foolish thoughts that enter our heads. If we act as if we cannot know for certain what He has said, or whether He has said anything at all then we know NOTHING about Him at all, effectively.

But if we know nothing about God for certain then we also know nothing about any ultimate reality for certain. There are no moral TRUTHS that we can cling to. And if THAT is the case than all our pretenses to morality is merely the imposition of one set of preferences on others. It is the rule of force covered with a veneer of a higher authority when in fact there is none. But eventually everyone will catch on and the game will be up. when that comes there will be no law, or no soft pretense of morality. You will fall in line or else.

In CA words no longer have meaning, definitions can be changed at the drop of a hat. Minorities are calling the shots, those of in the majority that are quite happy with long standing meanings have no say in the matter even when we vote on it. Tyranny by the minority is well and thriving in California and our children are being brain washed from the moment they start preschool to accept the unacceptable. It’s very sad. The result will be what we are starting to experience only much worse, a society made up of people without individual moral compasses that will blindly follow the dictates of progressives without the moral certitude to question what authorities say. If words can be redefined so easily, we have already arrived at “up is down and down is up” and no one in my generation would ever have believed “the public masses” would go along with it so sickenly easily.

Regardless of what you think of homsexuals and their desires and actions, isn’t it ridiculous to crown this girl the homecoming QUEEN? The wole idea of homecoming king and queen is to have one picked from both sides, the boys and girls. Is she being chosen because she is the best “boy” in the school for the honor? Frankly, it looks like her girlfriend could just as easily been chosen instead. They’re both girls who are rejecting femininity in a heteroseaxual context. Fine, but they aren’t boys, either of them. If the school wants a gay homecoming couple they should at least be honest and call her the 1st homecoming queen, and the other girl will be the 2nd homecoming queen.

Oops. I obviously meant that it is rdiculous to crown her homecoming KING.

Clearly I am stuck in my heterosexism because I looked at her and just saw a pretty girl who could easily be chosen homecoming QUEEN.

I agree with Freedomwtiness above. She may not have any good close masculine role models in her life to affirm her femininity. All girls need that. But sexual abuse at the hands of a man can also screw up a girls psychological ability to relate to men, even if she has good men in her life. I feel sorry for girls like this, and it makes me angry at our society that just hurns its back on such obvious psychological wounds and calls it compassion. It’s moral laziness and cowardice.

Last days, when right is wrong, and wrong is called right. It has come to the point where those who break commandments of God are not ony unashamed, but strident in their sins (of all sins I might add) and try to convince the world it’s all o.k. because God loves us all-and He does, but He isen’t changing His mind about sin and what sins are. That it is an in your face thing is Satan at his best, daring us as Christians to say anything, because all those who have turned from God to keep their own brand of sin don’t want the boat rocked, and those who never believed think they are winning against those “horrible Judgemental Christians”. It all comes back to the truth having no adgenda, for us right is still right and wrong is still wrong. If I am wrong then show me in the scriptures where God says it’s now o.k., that He canged his mind about 2011 (and some time before). Loving the sinner is one thing, celebrating the sin another entirely and I cannot do so and face my maker. My heart aches for so many who have to pay for those sins. And before anyone gets snarky, I have plenty of sins I’m repenting, none of us are perfect, only trying to be someday, even though that’s a very tough goal, and only The One did it.

Right, free will. I forgot all about that. If only I were like god and knew all things. If only I knew the future and the choices that everybody would make down the road, then there wouldn’t be that nagging contradiction between fate and free will. How can a choice be free if it’s preordained? If choice were truly free, then I could choose something that would oppose gods’ knowledge of the future. and I don‘t know about you but I’m not willing to call the big bearded white republican a liar.

      Senseless,
Preordination was a doctrine of the Calvinist. And I’ve got sad news for you, according to the Ancient Kabbalh God is neither Spirit nor Material since both are his creation, meaning God is really unknowable except through his emanations. 6000 years of study of Gods emanations brought us what is known as Natural Law and you wouldn’t be the first to go against the grain and choose mans law as opposed to natural law. Others have come before you thinking they could do it better. The original upstart was of course Lucifer, but let’s set aside myth as you might call it and begin with say the Julian-Claudio Emperors of Rome, not a nice bunch that. Then more recently we have Robespierre, Hitler, Lenin, Stalin. So yes even though God may be unknowable his law points to a path and you can either choose or reject it, that is your choice and to say that there is no free will is a cop-out. As far as man laws as opposed to God’s Natural Law, it has struck me that in Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein she comes near to the point when Victor first gazes upon his monster and wonders what has gone wrong, did he not choose the most beautiful parts and assemble them with the utmost care? Then why did his creation turn out a hideous monster? This begs the question; is man created in the image of God not Divine? And is man created in his own image a monster? After witnessing the Bloody Terror in France, Rousseau may have come to this conclusion as he joined the Church later i

“If choice were truly free, then I could choose something that would oppose gods’ knowledge of the future.”

That is not a practical, nor truly human view of freedom. Freedom means the ability to choose between various paths that we can see. Only a fool says he is not free unless he can choose a thing he cannot see or know. Since I cannot see the future, even though God does, I cannot know which choice would “contradict” it.

God’s knowledge of the future would only inhibit my freedom if he TOLD me what my future choice was so that I then had the choice clearly in front of me and yet really had no choice at all, like Oedipus. But God does not work like that. He never tells us the future in any way that we could know exactly how we will act. Thus our actions, known by him, are still free to us, in the only practical way that freedom means anything in human existence. To define freedom as you do is to say that our experience of freedom must be equal to God’s for it to be real. That is tantamount to denying the ontological difference between a Being who transcends Time and creatures who live in and bound by Time. A fundamental philosophical error.

      @Your Sensei

I am a little confused on this free will discussion. You think there is free will and because of that free will then there is something hidden from God? Or that there is something that opposes God’s Knowledge? I’m sorry can you explain a little more what your trying to say. Call me stupid but i am just trying to understand what you are trying to say about free will here. So can you clear it up for me not sure who the White beard republic is either.

Here is what i do know about free will tho. God didn’t make robots he made man and women. He made woman as a help mate to man. If you don’t think so the proof is in our ribs. God took a rib from adam and gave it to eve. The simplist of things show gods word to be true. Or have we forgotten that women have an extra rib or even meditated on it for a second. Have you ever wondered why. People argue against the bible without fully reading it. Anyways do we have free will yes. You can choose to believe in Jesus or you not. You can choose to believe you are one of the elect few or not. Can you tell me what is wrong with believing that we have a maker? It has as much right then those that don’t believe in a maker. Can we believe that man was created for women and women for man. And continue to get our freedom’s taken away from us while your beliefs continue to force them into exile. You see the street goes both ways for us. But only one way for none believers. Do we agree with the people in the world no and we v

He has called those to be his before they were in the womb. And the world will say well that isn’t fair so some people never had a chance. He is the maker he does whatever he wants. And i will show his love to others in hopes they will see the love he has for them as well. He longs for all to come into a relationship with him. But he also knows that not to be so because of our free will. Some will forever refuse the message of love. And that is exactly what it is. God is asking you to believe in his Son. And the commands two of the most beautiful things that you guys for some reason don’t understand. Love the lord God with all your heart mind and soul. And to love your neighbor as yourself. Our God is a God of love i’m sure you going to say will why did he kill so many people in the bible then. Because like i said he is a God of love. He promised a Nation he was going to protect them so to speak and give them land. And because he can not brake a promise of his love for them just as people do today the came up against his people back then it was for blood so he did what he had to in order to keep his promises. Now it is the same fight but without as much blood. And so all this being said it is the same battle. To wipe God’s children and there ideas off the face of the earth and what better way to do it then continuing to make there voices silent. We aren’t an evolving creation the battle has always been the same. Since the days of adam and eve. Read what the serpents word

OK, here’s a full sentence “But God does not work like that.”

“OK, here’s a full sentence “But God does not work like that.”

Now, being a human bound by the temporal, who and how are you to say?”

Because I haven’t seen God do it yet. therefore I described what he DOES. There is no instance of God ever telling anyone about that person’s specific choices in the future as a fated event.

Given that God must exist outside time, for him to interact with us in time must make all of his interactions, including any revelation of the future, completey harmonious with his atemporal relationship to time. Thus he CANNOT logically do anything IN time that will, from our perspective, change the future because the future does not exist, for HIM, consequent to the “past”. For God, past, present and future all all immediate realities flowing from the same Primal Cause of his creation of Time.

You are still demanding a concept of freedom that has meaning outside created time, outside the realities of temporal causation. Take it up with Eistein.

      Sensless (your sensei),
You have too much time, and obviously have too much interest in this story by your MANY posts.
I might also infer from that that you have a personal connection to this story somehow, meaning you likely live an alternate lifestyle as well.
I got tired of reading your senseless opinions, but I did observe the major flaw in your last point: “how could God let this happen”. Since you think you know all about God, but clearly don’t have a clue, I’d invite you to READ the bible. It is IN THERE! Yes, predictions of EXACTLY this kind of chaos and disorder increasing in the end times. It also tells the believers to not worry, which is why as much as it disgusts me, I don’t. I know how it ends, because it has perfectly followed along as we have been warned. I do feel sorry for the many out there like you, because unless you wake up and get faith, I know your end is not pleasant, and while you likely hate me for saying so, the feeling is not mutual, I love and pity those that are sealing their eternal damnation, I feel it is so needless, but we’ve also been warned about this as well, and I know what I’m supposed to do, warn once, then twice, and if it is ignored move on, time is short and others might listen and be saved. Repent and be saved, for your own sake.

People need to ask themselves why did this not happen from 1776 through 1976, why did the lesbians hide who they were and why are they proudly proclaiming it now? Were we wrong for 200 years, or are we wrong now? Who is the ultimate authority of deciding what is right and wrong? How long before a boy who wants to is a girl is chosen queen? I’m confused. What‘s the point of a female wanting to be homecoming ’king‘ as opposed to homecoming ’queen’? Lesbians don’t want to be men, they simply are attracted to other women. Funny how young people want to ‘break the mold’ yet embrace pointless, sometimes insensitive traditions like selecting homecoming kings and queens.
