‘Let Him Show His Birth Certificate’: Trump Propels Birther Rumors on ‘The View’

The issue of President Obama‘s birth certificate is quickly becoming a central focal point of conservative billionaire Donald Trump’s potential bid for the White House. Appearing on “The View” Wednesday, Trump reiterated that he’s not a “birther,” but thinks it would be best for Obama to release his complete birth record to finally lay the controversy to rest. Surprisingly, many in “The View” audience applauded Trump’s suggestion.

“I really believe there’s a birth certificate… Why doesn’t he show his birth certificate? …  I wish he would,” Trump told his female hosts. “If you’re going to be the president of the United States, [the Constitution] says very profoundly that you have to be born in this country… There’s something on that birth certificate [Obama] doesn’t like.”

“That is the biggest pile of dog mess I’ve heard in ages,” retorted host Whoopi Goldberg.

It’s interesting that Trump continues to bring this issue up.  The Left loves to paint so-called “birthers” as crazy right-wing wackos.  But as a household name, Trump obviously has a public bully pulpit similar to figures like Newt Gingrich and Sarah Palin who try and avoid the issue.

Does it suggest Trump will make a run for the White House?  Not necessarily, but the man’s logic is hard to argue with… unless you‘re like Goldberg and quickly dismiss the enforcement of the Constitution’s residency requirement as “BS” aimed at attacking America’s first black president.

    I just want to say one thing first. Obama is American, but to shut everybody up on this issue he has to show it!! Trump is right on this one and as a conservative I hope he does run for president, because he tells it like it is and doesn’t shy away from tough questions like Palin, Obama, Hillary Clinton, or any other politician out there today. Trump needs to run and I think he will!!

    The long form birth certificate indicates the religion of the child. The father, a devout Muslim, listed his son as a Muslim.
    He was born a Muslim and spending millions to hide this from us. There is plenty of other facets of his life that he also pays a lot to hide.
    The US should require a security clearance check before permitting to be a candidate.

    I would say it‘s because his mother didn’t claim obama’s father as being “Barry’s” father.. she was probably kind of pissed to be left barefoot and pregnant and when the kid was born didn’t acknowledge whoever the father is.. or gave him another dude’s last name if she had one she could lay up on after giving birth.. it’s a typical situation for these type of people…

If We The People have questions about the authenticity of his citizenship (or anything else), he has an obligation to answer those questions. No one is above that…no matter WHO.     My question is, why has this suddenly become an issue for the MSM? I think we need to watch what the other hand is doing. To have people screaming about this at the top of their lungs since before Obama was elected, to have LTC Terry Lakin lose everything and spend six months in Levinworth and to be mocked and ridiculed by everyone in the media, including Fox, and now all of a sudden everyone is mentioning it? It leaves me with a big question mark and makes me very suspicious of the motivation.

    Are they trying to set up Trump to be the new Ross Perot to split the conservative vote and take away Independents, or are they finally realizing there are enough people questioning Obama’s background to make a difference at the ballot box? Either way, I really feel like this is getting creepy and will not willingly fall for anything next time around. Be very careful who you trust.

      It is very possible the Trump presidency thing could be a diversion. Many lawsuits have been filed about this matter, and radical judges keep dismissing them. We have to focus now on making sure that the coming elections favor good candidates. We have to join local political clubs, where the power starts, and keep in touch with each other regarding our plans to support conservative candidates.
      The government has “fake people” software, which could have been used in the 2010 elections, especially in Nevada to keep Reid in office. After all they did find 400,000 fraudulent registrations.
      If Obama gets to stay in the Oval Office, millions of us can simply refuse to accept that he was validly elected. Power lies in the perception of it. If we do not acknowledge his power, then he has none.

      in his books “he” wrote, he says he doesn‘t know where his mother’s marriage or divorce records are and he is sketchy about them as if she never got married. flotus called him ”a son of a single mother” and repeatedly slipped up by saying he was from kenya and africa. we wonder if his illegitimacy and indonesian citizenship is what bothered him enough to seal them.. but that doesnt explain him sealing EVERYTHING, even his passport to Indonesia and africa, and esp his Selective Service card..IF he ever made one out. chances are real high obama is not just a born-bastard but also citizen of indonesia, not an American.

    leave it to woopie to make it a race thing. I’m really tired of that. There are some basic facts. Citizens have doubts and the constitution has requirements that he prove his citizenship. This is not unfair. He does not get to shove aside the questions of the people. He is bound to show it to us because we the people demand it. When they did answer the question the did not give the actual document and that just fans the flames. I have to show mine every time i go to get my drivers license in NJ because it’s one of my only forms of ID. It is not like it contains anything but basic information on it. there is NOTHING on the thing that could not be shouted from the rooftops. It really is “Who Cares” 9information but the fact that he can produce one is the important thing because having one proves something important. Anybody that opposes that very simple and basic idea has motives that are not in the best interest of america. They are like a kid that don’t want to tell their parents how the couch caught on fire. Asking them how it happened is an affront to the trust they feel they deserve. How dare we question their integrity. I’m sorry but integrity is something that is proven and earned. it’s not like some nebulous definition of family honor that is passed down from father to son like being in a family or a party is instantly beyond reproach simply because of who they are. The left are just trying to protect the man from a perceived attack on his integrity and the truth be dammed. Truth is inconvenient for them and they don’t give a damn if the man is legitimate or not. They have consciously decided they their attitude that it does not matter is more important than the rules of the constitution. As long as he is on their side he is okay. It’s like the worst high school basketball team that never scores a single point and the players are just rotten. Some team follower in the crowd will always cheer them on like they are the best thing to ever hit the court. Liberals are like that. They would see the country go down in flames and people starving on the streets before they will ever admit that their team is just no good. Any fact is deniable and any trouble can be sidestepped at someone else’s expense. Like their flagship agenda item, abortion. Anything is worthy of sacrifice to keep from dealing with the real problem.       I had to … to get a passport .. to be able to renew my drivers license … in the state of Florida where they are “testing” enhanced drivers licenses. It was very specific that it had to be notorized and could not be “short form”. Why not OBAMA to be PRESIDENT. Put it to rest!

      An educated guess would land on two options. One, he’s not American born as many believe. Two, the BC has Frank Marshall Davis (a well-known communist that mentored Obama in Hawaii) listed as “Father”! Those would be the only two possible (logical) reasons for NOT showing it.

As a child he traveled out of the country, as a legislature in Illinois he traveled out of the country. When he was running for the Presidency, he traveled out of the country. Do you remember the problems he encountered when he was detained while he was observing Russians compliance with the start treaty.       Every one asks about his BC and his school college transcripts. If I remember right from my days filling out my college and my sons college applications, one of the questions right after birth date was “Place of Birth”. It’s not the grades (well maybe it is) he’s hiding, it is the answer to the place of birth blank.

      The passport application has the same blank for place of birth!

      That is because all the other presidents produced their birth certificates VOLUNTARILTY! Obama is the only president with a birth certificate to REFUES to make it publically available. But why… If the world ALREADY knows who his parents are, why NOT release the certificate?
      There are only four reasons a person would do this:
      1, The original birth certificate does not exist. (a certificate of live birth is like a Bill of Sale (BOS) for a car.) A BOS may say who the owner and purchaser are, but the state title may tell an entirely different story. If you have ever unknowing purchased a stolen car, you would understand this!
      2, His daddy is not the man who he has publicly stated he is.
      3, His mother is not the woman who he has publicly stated she is
      4, Neither parent is his biological parent, as he has stated they are.
      The end result may be that the president intentionally misinformed America about who he is. Maybe he is telling the truth. If so, why not produce a simple original birth certificate. Refusal to do so does not increase trust between we the people and our leader.

You would think with all the controversy, that anyone with such pictures would be trying to sell them. The pictures of him when he was little are all posed like visit the grandparents or meeting at the airport or a beach romp during vacation. Where are the pictures of Mrs. So and So’s kindergarten class or first grade class? Or pictures of him riding a bike or playing outside with his friends? Can you answer that?

      Possibilities:

      1) He wasn’t born in this country.
      2) There‘s something on his birth certificate he doesn’t want people to know. This could include who his father is listed as, what religion is marked, etc.

      If you want to do Obama political harm, it makes perfect sense to press for the birth certificate because either of the above options plays out that way. Is Trump making a mistake? I don’t think so. He‘s clearly stated he believes there is a birth certificate so you can’t really label him as a birther so he‘s basically spreading a little FUD around the President to make people wonder what he’s hiding.

      Will Obama show the birth certificate? Maybe after the next presidential election is over with. I certainly don’t see it happening before that. Frankly, I‘m amazed someone hasn’t managed to get it and leak it… or get and leak his dissertation.

      The document was printed in 2007, it is NOT an original birth certificate, forget about long form birth certificate.

      The constitution requires, “A NATURAL BORN CITIZEN”. A Natural Born citizen is not one that is simply born “IN” the United States. A Natural Born citizen requires TWO parents who are citizens. The reason for TWO parents is because there would be no divided loyalties. It is a mistake to think that location is what determines who is a citizen. People have wrongly came to that conclusion based on there misinterpretation of the 14th amendment. The Founding Fathers wanted to make sure the President of the United States would be loyal only to the United States and that’s why a Natural Born Citizen was specified in the constitution as a qualification for President.

      Obama uses the controversy over people wanting to see his ‘private information’ to deflect attention from the real issue, which is the constitutional requirement that he be a ‘natural born’ citizen.
      Having a Kenyan father who carried a British passport means Obama was not natural born. Probably the original birth certificate says father’s citizenship: British. or something like that.

      Disclaimer: I believe that Obama was born in Hawaii as he claims. I am not a “Birther.” BUT…Anyone holding office in our country should be REQUIRED BY LAW to display their citizenship credentials openly for any and all to see as a basic requirement to run for and hold public office. To argue otherwise begs the question, “what have you to hide…?”

      It also leads me to warn a government comprised of officials who refuse to prove their eligibility to hold office that they should NEVER, EVER ask me to produce any form of identification, proof of citizenship or other documentation in order to utilize the government services I pay for or to satisfy any other burden of proof. But I digress…

      I suspect the real reason Obama doesn’t reveal his birth certificate to quash the birthers is because: At the time of Obama’s birth, his birth certificate would almost certainly list his race as that of the birth mother, especially if the father was absent and given mixed race parents…i.e. Race=White.

      Such a technical reversal of Obama’s race identity would certainly cause him some problems among his primary voter community, no?

I remember how democrats would get so irate if they didn’t get answers to spin from the Republicans during the Bush era. Now they use that as a crutch. Pa-Thetic.

      Please. Everyone look at how Akmiikeus has responded to this. Like all the other lefties, Akmiikeus is eating your responses up. Lefties could care less if he were born here. He**, they could care less if the president was a psychopath as long as they were a Democrat psychopath. The left uses the birth certificate issue to distract from Obama’s many other shortcomings. They know that even if you could prove he wasn’t born in this country nobody would have the stones to make him step down. Do you remember the phony scan of Obama’s Kenyan birth certificate that probably showed up in your inbox? That was put together by a lib.

      The media/left will be using Trump like they used McCain. They will tout his greatness right up until conservatives give him the nomination. After that they know that they can dilute him enough to tear away voters. Then they will turn on him and we’ll be looking at 4 more years of a communist president. Except, in the second term, he’s really going to take the mask off.

      Stop with the birth certificate stuff. There are many other things to go after him on.

      Those who agree with Woopi’s thinking are wrong. The point everyone is missing is this: It’s The Law. Obama has not fulfilled that requirement. His certificate of live birth does not meet the standard. What’s worse is that his actions are now deemed acceptable.

      It’s proven that as a young man he traveled with an Indonesian passport. Also, as a child he attended school in Indonesia. At that time there was no dual-citizenship, so you had to be an Indonesian citizen to attend. With that said, I’m not saying he was not born in Hawaii – his mother could have renounced his citizenship and with her second marriage simply made it appear he was Indonesian to satisfy their requirements. What I am saying is that by Law Obama has not met the requirements.

      As to his college days, well, as stated earlier, he did travel using an Indonesian passport – which an American citizen would not do. Also, he’s spent millions of dollars to have his records sealed including his college records. Why? Because he went to school here on scholarships given to ‘foreign’ students. Further, Whoopi‘s wrong when she says that Bush or other ’white’ men did not have to provide their birth certificates. They do and they did. It’s my understanding the Speaker of The House reviews and approves these documents. Obama’s were reviewed and approved by Pelosi. Bottom line – Obama has not met the standard as required by Law. So much for Transparency.

      If I was the POTUS and there was THIS much speculation or doubt surrounding my birth, I would just show it and put the controversy to bed.
      If there’s nothing to hide, then what does it hurt to bring it out to the light???
      It has NOTHING to do with white, black or otherwise, it has to do with a question being raised as to whether he was born here. And if this was a question of any other president, I would want any other president to provide full disclosure as well.
      Obama may very well have been born here—if so, why not just end the whole issue??

      would you not require your family physician to show proof that he/she is REALLY a licensed medical practitioner? Of course you would… so why is it okay for the so-called president of the U.S. not to provide “ORIGINAL” documents to run the country… I think it is a disgrace to America that obama is allowed to stand at the head of OUR great nation and make decisions based solely on the fact that he is black… no.. i am not a racist.. but obama and his wife sure sound like they are.. too bad America didn’t educate themselves on who they were voting for… for the record I voted for McCain :)

      God bless you? You actually BELIEVE IN GOD? If you do, then why are you supporting a man WHO DOES NOT BELIEVE IN THE GOD OF THE BIBLE? You cannot have it both ways. Even Jesus told us that you cannot sit on the fence – you will have to choose. Show me 2 places in the Bible where it states we are to follow collective salvation. Jesus dies on the cross for each individual person. That person must choose for themselves if they want to accept it. No one can accept it for me. Each of us must be held individually accountable. YOU ARE FOLLOWING THE WRONG LEADER, a foreigner no less.

      i’m 63, so maybe i don’t remember this clearly, but i think when i was in school we were taught that you had to show an “American born” birth certificate before you were able to run for office. is that not required anymore? i don‘t think he was born here because he hasn’t proved that and there’s too many questionable factors. i don‘t think this will be proven until he’s out of office and that is why i don’t think he will run again. i think he‘s coasting until the next election and hopefully his very lacking qualifications won’t bring this country any further down before then. as for the women of the view….they don‘t care if he’s an American or not. they are all very confused and i’m shocked the show is still on the air. i haven’t watched it since the first year it was on because i think they are an insult to women. does anyone know what the true definition of a bigot is?
