If you are trapped in a speeding cab, which is being driven erratically, and screaming to get out while on the phone with the cops, and the cabbie will not pull over, this is kidnapping. It is a crime. 2 + 2 always = 4

Oh my God. STOP! This has nothing to do with progressivism, Obama or anything like that! If she can’t or refused to pay you call the police and let them handle it. Even from a business prospective does it make sense to drive her all the way back to where she came from? No! If she’s carrying a gun does it make sense to pull it on a taxi driver who obviously having issues? No! The returning her to where she came from doesn’t wash , it’s still kidnapping just as pulling a gun or blaming Obama or progressives. Get a grip!

The refuse to pay excuse does not work, he wouldn’t even stop for the police.until he was forced too.
Even if she refuseed to pay, that is her right if she had a problem with his service or if he was trying to rip her off taking the long way The taxi driver can not take you anywhere against your will. He can call the police., like she did.
Not that is what happened here, he obviously wasn’t looking for a police station

At first chance, I would have jumped out. Not sit there in the back and describe every street landmark to 911. What if he had a gun? She assumed she had the luxury of time on her side. That was a bigger risk, in my opinion.

One could possibly believe his story about the issue of non-payment until you consider the report that he refused to pull over for law enforcement.

    1. Did he previously report the non-payment to his dispatcher?
    2. Did he previously call police to file a complaint about the non-payment (defrauding a livery is
normally a 1st degree misdemeanor charge that can carry six months in jail for the passenger)?
    3. It makes no sense that a cab driver that was not paid would waste more time and expense (gas
and miles) on a passenger that had not paid.
    4. This appears to be an unlawful act on the part of the driver and he should be charged with
attempted kidnaping! Further, his cab driver license should be permanently revoked.

Even if she had refused to pay, it’s still kidnapping. He locked her in the cab and refused to let her out. If she had refused to pay, he should have called his dispatcher and the police. He didn’t do that, did he?

if she truly did not pay, I would have brought her right back to where I picked her up also. But I would have stopped when the police became involved.

Then you’d be guilty of kidnapping.

The Colonizers are making it hard to get around just as the TSA makes it hard to get around. This is what happens when the GOP put the car in the ditch and then handed the keys to the progressive drunken drivers. Anyway this world is getting kookier every day. Time to hit the country and live on a farm.

If they wouldn’t pay then what is he suppose to do? I would have taken them back to where I picked them up. People can be so stupid. It’s either him or the passenger, who know for sure.

I am glad she got out safely, and this driver needs to be dealt with to the maximum allowable according to the law. And the Progressives will blame it all on the Right and the Tea Party.
