Letter Encourages Wisconsin Voters to Sign Recall Petitions Adolf Hitler

A Wisconsin organization is allegedly urging voters to sign recall petitions for Gov. Scott Walker with the name “Adolf Hitler” to send a message about jobs.

The Wisconsin Government Accountability Board has asked the Milwaukee County District Attorney to investigate the group “Mines for Wisconsin,” which it said sent a letter telling voters who oppose the recall effort to sign petitions for it with Hitler’s name, local Fox affiliate WITI-TV reported. The G.A.B. is overseeing the recall effort against the Republican governor, which kicked off last month.

According to a letter posted online purportedly from the group, voters are encouraged to sign petitions, “Adolf Hitler, 666 Hell Street (your city).”

“The recall people don’t want thousands of high-paying jobs in the mining industry in northern Wisconsin,” the letter says. “By signing Hitler’s name you are sending a message to the recall people who oppose jobs for Wisconsin residents. Many of these potential jobs would be union positions.”

“Hitler was willing to destroy Germany in order to get his ideals in place. This is similar to what the recall people are doing in Wisconsin,” it says.

The group did not respond to requests for comment from WITI.

Though the letter says it’s not illegal to sign “Adolf Hitler” on a petition, Government Accountability Spokesman Reid Magney said that’s not the case. He told the Wisconsin Radio Network it’s against the law to knowingly falsify a name on a recall petition.

“Anyone who falsifies a petition can face felony charges punishable by up to three and a half years in prison and up to $10,000 in fines,” Magney said.

Reports of the letter come one week after the board said it would not automatically strike blatantly fraudulent petition signatures with the names “Adolf Hitler” or “Mickey Mouse.” Instead, it’s up to the officeholder being targeted for recall to flag suspicious or duplicate names and request they be removed.

Recall organizers must collect 540,208 signatures by Jan. 17 in order to force an election sometime in 2012.

According to the Wisconsin State Journal, the state’s Republican Party said it does not condone or support any “foul play” in the recall effort.

      I guess these guys know that that Scott Walker will probably lose the recall election because his the people of Wisconsin weren’t to fond of his “bait and switch” from the election and don’t care for what he has done in office. So they feel free to break the law and subvert democracy to achieve their aims. And, of course, everyone here supports them. So much to all this “Constitution” stuff the TP always talks about.

      Does this mean that the Obama admin is going to be imprisoned for their “petition” fraud in Indiana and probably every other state as well? Was in my local news for several days and now it is just gone despite irrefutable proof of the fraud which was first published in the South Bend newspapers? Just wondering. Seems like Democrats and Unions are allowed to commit fraud but scream when someone B*tch slaps them. Peace

      @ wildbill_b , I forwarded the blaze all the links about the voter fraud investigations in the 2008 presidential election from the South Bend papers over a month ago. They didnt do anything with the information I sent to them. I am glad someone else here besides myself found those articles and investigation some what disturbing. The Blaze didnt think they were worth posting here, I just dont get it.

    You should check out the White House Website which is now pulling the same tactic: urging people to write in in support of the Democrats’/ Obama’s pressure on the congress to pass that 2 month tax cut extension! Talk about “free advertising” at public expense. Sorry’ folks, but they days of the White House being “above the fray” is over. This White House is the origin of the fray : from the events of the unions in Wisconsin to the Occupies in Democrat cities to the “anti-rich/ fat cat/ bankers/Ceos , etc. This is the most blatantly divisive , manipulative, and divisive administration I have ever witnessed.     OH…They meant they wouldn’t do what is legally required UNLESS YOU OPPOSED RECALL EFFORTS.

      Thank You, I am a union member who is not too popular at my hall because I have spoke out agaist public unions. Private unions helped to build this country, and I proudly come from a union family. Ido believe in honesty so I would like to tell everybody that Obummer is using his dept. of labor to change the way capitolism works in this country. They are putting the needed rule into place to forcibly unionize America (thanks to seiu).

    I think what the letter is getting at is recently they ruled in Iowa that they would not disqualify any signatures on the petition regardless of if they are signed Adolf Hitler or Micky Mouse…. Of which there are several signatures that have signed as both Adolf Hitler and Micky Mouse…. The corrupt board decided they would count all the Micky Mouses and Adolf Hitlers on the Petition.

    I am not Joking.. They really are not throwing out any signatures. They are counting them all even though they are obviously false.
