    I don’t understand the logic. If all those people hated him, why would they buy his book to enrich him? Maybe the liberal’s of MSNBC that have a brain malfunction that stifles any thought process except the party line.

      I can’t stand our local GM dealer, so I’ve never bought a GM car. My mother bought a car from them
      15 years ago and the service dept. guy was so rude to an old woman, I made it a point to never darken their door because of this experience with them. Mean to my mom once, it’s your fault buddy bozarth.

    Perhaps it’s because while Bush did a number of things wrong, he did work on keeping this country free and not selling out to foreigners. Lets see, Bush wrote a book about his presidency in 500 pages including what he did good for America. Clinton probably wrote his book with about 200 pages of what was going on under the desk, about 799 pages about selling out to China and other foreign intrests that we don’t know about and maybe 1/2 page about his impeachment and about 1/2 page about what he thought really helped this country during his presidency.

      Agreed, Bush did some things wrong. But he seems basically a decent, humble human being who believes in God, family, and good values (people can decide for themselves their own sense of morality).

      He was a fighter pilot, flying the F-106, which was one of the most unforgiving aircraft ever put into service. Few, if any, were ever shot down during their limited use outside the US, but a lot of pilots died because the jet had a problem causing stalls on takeoff. You had to have real guts to fly a jet that had a 30% chance of killing you all by itself.

      I would rather meet George Bush for three minutes than attend a banquet in my own honor at the White House with Obama, the Clintons, all of the Hollywood Left, and every top Dem in the country.

    Oh yeah, I can SO buy that because, in this crumbling economy that many people are going to go spend their hard-earned money on a book about someone they absolutely hated. That seems logical. What a jackwagon (I’m pretty sure the color yellow makes him sad, too)!

      Do you honestly believe – do you HONESTLY believe – that George W. Bush, who left office with the lowest approval rating and highest disapproval rating of any American president in the history of the Gallup poll, who oversaw the country’s drive from a multibillion dollar surplus into a multitrillion dollar deficit, two wars, including one which was based on a complete lie, and the collapse of the economy, sold a lot of books because of how much people LIKED him?

      I really want to know if someone will stand by that.

      @ANTIFA,

      You have to remember that in 2006 people elected a Democrat majority that Bush was powerless to stop. Even if he vetoed a piece of legislation, there were enough Democrats and RINOs in Congress to override a veto.

      Bush did do a lot of stupid things while in office, but there are a number of things he couldn’t have stopped. And remember the first round of bailouts, there were a huge number of economists saying without the passage of bailouts we would have economic Armageddon.

      However, Bush has made himself an easy target after sitting idly a taking things he probably didn’t agree with. Speaking out probably would have helped his approval rating just a little. By 2008, he was a mere shadow of a President.

      @ZYTEK_FAN

      Bush was far from “powerless” to stop the Democratic majority. Post-2006 elections, Republicans held 49 Senate seats – more than they held for the last two years or the next two, for that matter. Even if true, the Democrats were not the leaders of the failed aforementioned policies, and the bailouts were a tiny fraction of the deficit, which was primarily caused by significant tax cuts and the two unfunded wars.

      Even if the Democrats WERE responsible for everything, that remains irrelevant, because Bush still left office with the worst approval numbers in the history of tracking approval numbers. Most Americans viewed him as the cause of their problems. Suggesting that a lot of people bought his book because they didn’t like him, (or more realistically, to try and figure out what the hell he was thinking) seems like a pretty reasonable statement to me.

      @ ANTIFA

      Bush did leave office with the lowest rating of any president before. Why are people buying his book? Well after 2 years of a president who is ten times worst than Jimmy Carter, People are realizing that Bush wasn’t so bad after all. The hard decisions he had to make in order to protect Americans from the worst enemy since WWII might have made him unpopular, but in the long run, they were the right decisions. Now, we have a president who has made America the laughing stock of the international community. His (Obama’s) grandiose ideas were snubbed at the last G-20 meeting. He will not stand up for his country and other world leaders recognize that. Obama’s book, “Dreams from My Father” should be retitled, “Nightmares for America from My Father”.

      History will show that Bush was and is a true American hero.

      “I really want to know if someone will stand by that”

      First off, it’s your statement, will YOU stand by it?

      Second of all, Clinton left Bush a Projected Surplus (not actual cash in the bank) and Bush started with a multi-trillion dollar deficit, see the surplus Clinton PROJECTED was from PROJECTED revenues exceeding PROJECTED expenses, 19 “enthusiastic” Muslims took over some plans and all bets were off.

      Clinton left $5.628TN in debt, with a small PROJECTED surplus…

      See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_public_debt#History

      ANTIFA – Bush beat Gore in the Electoral College, and then beat Kerry in both the Electoral and the popular vote. Your simplistic notion that “low popularity ratings” equal higher book sales is simply nonsensical. Based on your logic Keith Olbermann‘s book should have outsold Glenn Beck’s, since Keith has lower ratings.

      30% popularity = 100 Million Americans you jack-wagon!

      You got it. If the book had sold fewer copies than Clinton’s manifesto, they would be saying the same thing. Similarly, if the weather in the northeast was unseasonably warm this winter, perhaps with little or no snow, the global warmers would be saying the same thing, “ It’s all due to Global warming!!…we must save the planet by redistributing the wealth.” Either they think we are gap-toothed, low forehead, knuckle draggers or they are.
