Libyan Rebels Train Boys Age 7 on Anti-Aircraft Guns to Fight Gaddafi’s War

This time, the gang that couldn’t shoot straight is made up of seven year old boys firing bazookas and automatic assault rifles.

Yes, while most seven-year-olds are in school making friends and learning to read and write — maybe even pretending to fight with toy guns — in Muammar Gaddafi’s Libya, little boys are being trained by rebel forces to fight and overpower the Colonel‘s loyalist troops in the country’s bloody civil war.

The Daily Mail reports boys as young as age seven have been pictured in Misrata cleaning, assembling and carrying automatic assault weapons.

While reports claim the children don’t appear to have fought on the front lines yet, it certainly seems they are being trained to go in for the kill at a moment’s notice.

Since the uprising began in February, rebel forces have reportedly seized control of most of Libya’s eastern regions, even establishing an administration in Benghazi. The Mail reports rebel forces are gaining ground:

They also control the coastal city of Misrata and much of the Nafusa mountain range south-west of the capital Tripoli.

After a string of victories in recent months, rebel forces have expanded the area under their control in the mountains.

But despite making headway in the east, rebel fighters, whose arsenal is meager at best, have reportedly resorted to constructing makeshift weapons in an effort to contend with Gaddafi’s well-equipped loyalist troops. The Mail talks about how the rebels scavenge for parts and engineer crude rocket launchers:

Heavy weapons are in short supply in Misrata, but ingenious fighters have created workshops where impromptu missile launchers and machine guns are being welded from spare parts.

Sadiq Mubakar Krain, a former oil company foreman, is busy welding some of the weapons using scavenged equipment.

Pointing to a 16-tube rocket launcher, he said: ‘This is the first time I make one of these.

‘I have learned to make other things and to weld, so God willing, I have got this one right.’

The Mail also reports the rebels are working tirelessly to manufacture housings for their heavy artillery and anti-aircraft guns. And, since sophisticated equipment is nonexistent for the group,  pick-up trucks will serve as the rebels’ crude rocket launchers.

Obviously very naive journalists were involved in the writing of this story.

The facts are that in distressed countries all over the world, child soldiers are incredibly dangerous. They are lethal bands and as hard as it is to say (or witness) children in such environments are among the greatest dangers anyone faces. It is indeed horrible to have to share, but it is true – they are cunning, fast and numerous and they will kill you dead as soon as look at you, and fine people, they will not hesitate to eat human flesh – not for a second.

Most American have no idea of just how brutal and dark this planet truly is. It is horrid and humans that have not eaten in a few days are far more dangerous that you can possibly imagine. They are capable of literally anything.

So for those of you whom have prepared and if the worst were ever to happen here, you had better have plenty of people in your home in order to man defenses, or be prepared to have all your food stolen. Kids that seem defensless will attack you like wild dogs. As I said, it’s hard to have to share, but I have seen (sadly) most of this world’s terrible ills. You have to be prepared to make some awful decisions and don‘t think for a second that you won’t – you will – your own instincts to survive are just as powerful.

I am not surprised. If my city was under attack or I was fighting in a civil war, my kids would be happy to help and clean weapons and load magazines. Where has everyone been? Don’t you remember the women and children loading weapons for the men-folk to save the fort, wagon train, etc etc. Keep them off the front lines and out of the line of fire.

This is what everyone should do with their children, TEACH THEM TO PROTECT THEMSELVES AND USE A GUN! My nephews and nieces have all shot ar’s and hunting rifles and have been taught gun safety. The advantages are at least two fold

      1) Your children will have a better understanding of their rights and will be less susceptable to the BS they teach in school about guns killing people (doctors kill more people per year accidentally than gun owners)

      2) When your young boy acts like a young boy and accidentally finds your loaded gun that you use for home security, he won’t think it is a toy that he can play with and shoot his friend in the face. Because if you actually taught him gun safety he will understand the dangers associated with the gun and the fact that it is not his and he will get his arse whooped if he messes with dad’s gun.

Anyone else ever seen “The Patriot” starring Mel Gibson? His young children are pivotal in a fight to save his older son. While this is a fiction film, it does accurately show that when the chips are down, your children may be your only allies and properly training them is key to your survival and their’s as well.

I have no problem with children being taught how to use any type of weapon and using it when it needs using.

Is Atty Gen Eric Holder’s gun purchase record keeping a form of birth control? If you are going to by your kid(s) a gun, you’ll have to spread it over quite a while. …..so is it better to have fewer kids or none at all……….won’t need so many guns…………LOL

Your insight or foresight is extremely shallow. Think about it, do you hunt? Do your children hunt? Did you teach your children about guns and safety? Or do you just tell your kids that guns are bad things to be avoided because they kill?

Lest we forget that during the Revolutionary War many young people stood and fought alongside their parents to fight for our freedom. We may have to train our children to fight once again to keep our freedoms – I don’t really like the thought of that, but when it comes down to final battle against the loonies in our government we are going to need “All Hands On Deck” to preserve this great nation of ours.
    Think about it!

I am so SICK AND TIRED of these Arabs and their damn wars. They are crazies who train kids to fight and blow themselves up for WHAT? Waste your own lives but not the lives of innocent children who are taught by ignorant people how to wage war instead of learning how to help their country be part of a civilized world. They belong in school so they can contribute to the progress of their country by learning a decent trade. Stop the insanity; it is truly shameful.

Do you have any idea how much time we as a people have been at peace? Very, very little.
And training kids to fight is nothing new.
Think about the horrors the average drummer boy in the civil war saw being on the front lines, unarmed, in the bloodiest of America’s battles.

How many children took part in defending the colonies in the first civil war? You know, what we call the revolutionary war. In the US, men and women teach their children to use guns and hunt all the time. If a time ever came when the citizens lives ever counted on the ability to arm every able body, you can sure bet that my children would be carrying at least a bolt action .223 with a scope.

Wrong, it depends entirely on what type of war they are fighting. If they are fighting a repressive government and are truly fighting for freedom against a tyrannical government (much like US circa 1770′s), then it is better to have them fight and win that freedom than to have them live under an oppressive regime. Unless you think living in a country where rights simply don’t exist is better than any possible emotional scarring from killing a man who seeks to take their rights away. Personally, I’d rather live with killing the man who wants take away my freedoms, but, I did spend 5 years in the Marines and spent a year of that teaching combat marksmanship. That said, children should never be used for a war of aggression, but being a Libertarian, I don’t think wars of aggression are ever good, no matter who is fighting it. But for defense of a nation or the people’s rights, total war is preferred and all bets are off.

Being a moral people requires standing up for those morals, teaching your young to stand for those morals and how to protect themselves from immoral if ever left to stand alone. Be sure many of those children in that region will find themselves standing alone.

MTV teaches American kids what to stand for and who to vote for for that matter.

Learn marksmanship, teach your family marksmanship and the value of protecting life and liberty. I swore I would as a United States Marine from both foreign and domestic but I was taught by my father, a United States American.

Stand for something or fall for anything. My children will stand thank you!

It’s not about training kids. I do that. I started my kids handling firearms at the range at around age four or five. That’s an American tradition, and a good one.

So it comes down to the purpose, or principles you’re serving, doesn’t it?

If the kids are being trained to kill and sacrifice themselves for a tyrant, that’s the problem.

My kids are trained to be competent, safe, and to be able to defend themselves and defend liberty. Is that child abuse? I think not. I think it’s the proper, American thing to do.

Understand people, this is the worst kind of civil warfare; it is now a total war of annhilation with nothing being held back by either side on the ground. We have, according to Air Force Times online magazine articles air force and navy fighters in harms way for support of the rebels.

So when will ground troops commense landing, if they are not already there; the fact is with Sec. Hillary Clinton now making threats to the Assad government of Syria, then we may have TWO more wars on our hands in additon to Iraq, Yemen, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and anything else we are in without the people of America knowing it.

Dear Leader Obamma promised no boots on the ground.
Nobody in the news media has the balls to ask him if that included boots on our military flying aircraft, rowing boats, mushing dogsleds or any other means of waging modern warfare.
Obamma believes it isn’t really a lie if you just fail to tell the entire truth or the entire story,…
      Just like Bill Clinton.
There is no honor, honesty, or transparency allowed in the current administration.
The real question everyone should be asking is “Why is Obamma involved in Libya?”
Since he only does things when they benefit Obamma, how does the war in Libya help him politically?

Fertlmind — as to why Mr Obama is in Libya I may have a few answers to that…

First is to have an excuse to break down our military even more, every war he gets us into works for his advantage in destroying them and our economy.

Second, most of the liquified natural gas enjoyed by Europe and especially Britian comes from the area of Tunisia, Libya and Algeria. Break Libya and you break that link. — Obama’s well established pathological hatered for all things British comes into play here.

Third, his socialist brothers of France desire the oil and gas for themselves.

Fourth, his allies in the Muslum Brotherhood desire Libya as part of the Caliphate again, not to mention as a source of revenue to support their expansionist plans.
