Limbaugh Blasts MSNBC Contributor: For 23 Years I’ve Been Called a Racist…I’m Not…You Are

During Lawrence O‘Donnell’s “Last Word” segment on Monday, author and MSNBC contributor Touré criticized Rush Limbaugh for allegedly confusing racial politics for racism where GOP front-runner Herman Cain is concerned. Limbaugh, however, didn’t take take the left-wing novelists’ rant lying down. During his Tuesday broadcast, the conservative radio host claimed that while he has been called a racist for the last “23 years,” it is in fact Touré, and those like him, who are the real racists.

Below is a partial transcript and audio of Limbaugh blasting Touré.

So they seek in this case Herman Cain. “Okay, we’re gonna take Herman Cain out,” and we get our dander up and we put a stop to it or slow them down that‘s gonna make ’em mad, too, pure and simply is. And then if we, in their perverted eyes, steal one of their techniques (i.e., playing the race card or accusing the race card of being played), then they really get ticked off, and that’s what Toure was saying here. “Well, they just fire back, and they just use the word ‘racism.‘ That’s racist, you’re racist.” That’s right, Toure! For 23 years we’ve been hearing it. Maybe not from you, but people all over your side of the aisle. For twenty-three years I’m a “racist;” and I’m not, never have been. You guys are. We say it. You don’t like it. Yeah. Exactly. They used it on one of their own and we caught it and pointed it out, but that 2008 presidential campaign was rife with racism on the Democrat side.

      While I think it’s good someone calls out the Dems are THEIR being racist, Limbaugh’s integrity and credibility are sorely lacking over other issues.

      One of those is his flip flop on Romney. Rush said 4 years ago that Mitt was the 3 legs of conservatism. Now, he’s not. Limbaugh‘s intellectual information is lazy OR his preparation lame OR his use of truth about Mitt is showing Limbaugh’s fear of his pocketbook. Feed the extremes and audience.

      Elections are NOT won by the “extremes”. They are won by the middle. Divisiveness on the part of Limbaugh, Levin, Beck, etc. does NOT help our country against Obama in 2012. I implore thoughtful, sincere conservatives to not be “purists” (there IS NO perfect candidate). Let’s not tear each other apart but unite behind the best candidate (one with preparation, intellect, experience and NOT baggage).

      Is it America we want to save………or our own egos? (including Limbaugh, etc.)

      Absolutely right on TXSON! I never understood the concept of racism because I see people of every race being hateful to each other constantly, even those in the same race. The blacks can call each other the ‘N” word, but God help anyone else use it.

      Some people are constant trouble makers and many of the MSM and MSNBC types cry out very loudly, racism, hoping to break our spirit. TRUTH of the MATTER: THEY are the true Racists because “THEY” keep bringing it up.

      @ccr. I appreciate your post. It was thoughtful and from a perspective, logical. I think you misunderstand the conservatives though and really are missing out on what 40% of our country profess to be and then there are the independents who listen to what they feel may be best for themselves in the long run that swing the vote. Here’s my point. I can see you perhaps don’t agree with the liberal left. Conservatives certainly don’t. But, we are always supposed to “compromise” with them. I‘ve taught my son’s. Your moral belief is the core of who you are. If you compromise, let’s say one time, you may have 75% of your moral belief in place. But, the progressives then come back the next year and ask us to compromise again on our moral belief. Let’s say you do the 75% thing again and the progressives bemoan that you held their feet to the fire and got the better part of the deal. Well, then, my simple math lets me know that after only two times of compromise, you are left with 50% of your original core moral belief. And that’s if you let the progressives think they let you win on each of the two previous compromise issues. We’ve compromised ourselves into the progressives hands over fifty years of multiple compromises. How about a simple concept. Let’s make them compromise our way for the next fifty years? It would only take a few good voters from the conservative side with a few independents who have seen th

      Limbaugh hit the nail on the head with this featured statement. I fail to see how anything can detract from that. I mean you listen to the Dem talk and he essentially tells you “This is why this tactic has worked so well for us in the past 25 years, but now that they are doing it… it needs to stop”.

      Also, regarding all of your other “lets pull together” stuff.
      This is the Republican PRIMARY! We are SUPPOSED to be out there rooting for and promoting the candidate we think is the strongest!!! We are NOT supposed to be all united on ONE candidate YET!!! SHEESH! When there is ONE Republican candidate chosen to run against Obama, 85% of the freaking NATION will unite behind that individual!       I agree with you completely. I am in my car most of the time visiting customer sites and I have tuned out Limbaugh. His unwarranted Romney attacks are way over the top and not worth the daily aggravation. I now question his credibility on many issues,especially when I know for a fact that he knowingly was pushing propaganda. in my book he is no different than the leftists in that regard.

      Having Herman Cain in the race is just killing libs.

      They have held the patent on the race card for decades. In recent years, they labeled the tea party racist, and falsely claim the only reason for the tea party is to get a black man out of office.

      Now all of a sudden, a real black man (not a half black one raised in a Muslim nation) is sitting near the top of the republican race, and is a tea party favorite.

      It is funny watching them scramble. First they tried to tell us that Cain is not really black. Look and listen to him, and he just seems a whole lot blacker than Obama. When that did not work, they went the Clarence Thomas route, and claim he assaulted women. Well, he did not actually assault them in a Bill Clinton sort of way, he made remarks not really of a sexual nature, and it was fifteen years ago.

      Let us not forget, the dems that love blacks so much, are the same dems that fought to keep them as slaves, voted in Jim Crow laws, had the KKK and high ranking KKK member in the senate, voted against civil rights legislations over and over, wire tapped MLK, put Japanese folks in internment camps……

      One day, main stream black folks are going to wake up and smell the shackles and chains.

      I went to our monthly Tea Party meeting last night. We had some great speakers from AFP. Very, very informative!
      After the speakers were finished, I went to the tables to pick up some info and, low and behold, one Black lady and two Black gentlemen were doing the same thing.

      Conservatives are generally logical and liberals are more emotional based. Is it logical to hate someone because of what fascinating cultural and ethnic background they come from? It seems to me the emotional reaction of fear of those who are different fits more in line of the emotional based person. Oh and please don‘t insult anyone’s intelligence by saying MSNBC doesn’t make stuff up. They cropped a photo of a black man at a town hall in 2009 to hide his race and kept the image of him with a firearm (legal in his state) then used that doctored image to create stories about “dangerous, racist tea partiers”. I actually saw that incident with my own eyes and it’s available on line. You’re an idiot.

      I say that Elections may not be won by the extremes but I wish they were won by our extreme. They best we can do is try to drag the debate as far as possible toward the Constitution. Either the Constitution and individual freedoms and liberty are important or they are not!!!!!

      If we can make a candidate flip on a position toward our direction then at least he understands wha the people are really pushing for.

      Otherwise, we just get a middle of the road lilly liver who panders to the left. Either you are with us or you are one of them!!!!

      You know before I watched that video, the only person that I compaired Cain to was Reagan. Reagan did the same type of Showmanship. He would joke all the time, and the left called him crazy. I will say that the three or four guys cain was compaired to are like stiff boards when they give speaches orr they are so intellectally corrupt.

      I did like Rush, Sean, and Ann’s comments about this. Ann‘s comment about the Civil Rights act being a law to keep Dem’s from hanging blacks should be made into a commercial. Sorry but at this point we need to fight them harder then they fight us. Why should we? Because we have the facts on our side.

      Liberal remind me of the management at my last employer. They didn‘t trust customers and if they didn’t do business that fell into managements line they were always accused of trying to screw us over or were too stupid to know what they were doing. In fact, most of our potential customers were very open about working with us. The problem was, management wanted to sell what we made, regardless of whether the competition actually had something that worked better.
      If someone goes against the liberal line they get blasted the same way. The sad part is there are people who actually are either dumb enough(Lenin’s usefull idiots) or evil enough to follow them.

      @CCR- I have been listening to Rush for 23 years, yes that”s right years, and…. A) I’ve NEVER heard him express ONE racist comment. B) I pay particular attention to him during election cycles and He never endorsed nor did he , with the exception of McCain, reject any primary Republican candidates.And C) My question to you….. If elections are not won by the “extremes” how did Obama get elected hummmmm? I await your response, although I doubt you’ll have one.

      The middle is not big enough to determine elections. It hasn’t been for quite some time. The only people that call for that sort of political candidate are those afraid to commit to pretty much anything. Reagan didn’t win on a moderate platform. Neither did Bush Jr or Sr. Or Carter for that matter. The middle/moderate majority is a myth.

HE DID!! I double checked, and in most recent usage “Minstrelsy” refers to folks who performed in blackface in the early 1900s, as well as the notion that the only profession acceptable for a black person was a performer. I was floored!! So, Mr. Toure, who is also a black man, is asserting here that Cain is just too folksy-black, and that his campaign is nothing but an entertainment for the white folks?       I agree with you. I like Cain and believe that theses women saw an opportunity much like the Clarence Thomas case. Regardless, Cain has potential and the progressives are going to attempt to destroy the man. As for Obama, he has been groomed to become a radical extremist. Look at his history. He is no more than a puppet whose strings are controlled by the progressive movement. Whether he likes it or not he himself is being used as the token black president for the progressive agenda. These people knew the power they would have by electing the first black American in office. They could care less about the black community, they simply needed their vote as well as the Latinos, and the white Americans that feel guilt over the treatment of the blacks. It could have been a beautiful thing if Obama had reached out to unite all races, but that was NOT their agenda. This runs far deeper and worldwide. Our opponents are powerful and abundantely funded. If we think our job is done simply by electing a repub to office we are in for a rude awakening. Don‘t think for a minute that we won’t have to clean up the repubs as well. They are guilty of corruption as well and we will have to continue this battle for our country regardless. That is if we ever even make it to a 2012 election. If we do we might very well be stuck with Romney as our only chance. And we might have to take some baby steps before we can move forward and are able to push for the remaining policies needed for America.

Actually, the right to petition the government for redress of grievances is guaranteed by the Constitution.     Progressives can’t stand to see a black conservative succeed,they want to keep blacks down to justify their unconstitutional programs.Rush wants everyone to succeed and that’s the difference between Rush and people like this tool Toure,Sharpton and Jackson all poverty pimps.

      Why do you think they ran a mulatto for President? If he succeeded, they could say the Republicans let him succeed because he was half white. If he failed, like he has, they can say the Republicans didn‘t let him succeed because he’s half white. Either way, they can call us racists. What will they do if a real black man gets elected?

      LORI: I do agree with you that bottom line: the Democrats chose the “prefect” and will play the Blame Game about whichever part of his bi-racial makeup suits their present situation. Have never seen so much Game playing ( Race/ Discrimination/ Blame) or character assassination by any previous political party, and I’ve been around for a while. I Think when the 60′s Democrats aligned themselves with the Saul Alinsky/ Bill Ayers Weatherman types , a pact with the devil was formed; these guys are the most hate filled, anti American, anarchistic, Far Left bunch of Marxist radicals that America has ever seen, nor should ever see again. These guys are toxic and should be labeled as such. Glad Rush stood up to the character assassination they have subjected him and many other conservatives over the years. Turn around is fair play and maybe a true example of the SOCIAL JUSTICE these phonies are always crying for….
