Rush Limbaugh: Hillary Clinton Has Reached the Pinnacle, and All She Is Is a Secretary

Radio host Rush Limbaugh on Thursday said Hillary Clinton has "reached the pinnacle, and all she is is a secretary." (AP photos)

Rush Limbaugh on Thursday dismissed Hillary Clinton’s accomplishments, saying that even at the “pinnacle” of her career, “all she is is a secretary.”

Limbaugh was commenting on Time Magazine’s “100 Most Influential People” gala, of which the former first lady and U.S. senator was an attendee.

“Exactly how influential is Hillary Clinton?” Limbaugh asked. “What has she ever accomplished as secretary of state? You look back on Condoleeza Rice, other secretaries of states — the Middle East is falling apart, the United States is weakening itself….What about this is great? Where is the greatness, where is the influence, where is the standing up for America, where is the defending America as a superpower? It doesn’t exist.”

He called Time’s celebration “a bash by libs, for libs, with libs“ with ”a couple of conservative circus act guests thrown in to give it balance.”

Limbaugh went on: “You could almost say folks, Mrs. Clinton worked very hard throughout her whole life and she stuck by her husband while he – we all know what he did. He humiliated her. Embarrassed her. Affair after affair after affair. And now Hillary has reached the pinnacle, and all she is is a secretary. She’s the secretary of defense – state, state, whatever. But still a secretary. I don’t know.”

“The left,” he concluded, “has the strangest definitions of success.”

      @ Disenlightened…..One thing I am certain of is that she didn‘t spend any significant time with her face in Bill’s lap. This was a marriage of convenience…a pact to advance each others’ political interests up the chain to the ultimate job in the free world.. I’m surprised they even had a child but then there is the famous resemblance to Webb Hubble. ..

    This story is deceitful and misleading. I actually heard Rush’s radio program today and the context in which he said those words are important. Rush actually has a lot of respect for Hillary Clinton. He believes that Hillary should have been the presidential candidate in 2008 and that she got the shaft from the Democrat Party. Rush spoke of all of her own hard work over the years and of her support of Bill Clinton despite his filandering. And in the end, all she got was a “secretary” position. Had she been President, she would have been able to accomplish a lot more (although it too would have been in the Progressive vein).

    …of State. Only the closest cabinet member in line for the Presidency, and certainly among the top 5 most important federal departments. Also often a door to the Presidency–so be careful about counting your chickens before they come home to roost. I’d certainly laugh if Hillary ran, and won, in 2016–given a Republican alternative, I can already say I’d almost CERTAINLY be voting for her…

Just because he talks up a few of the rights talking points does NOT make him a conservative. And now here he is once again giving ammunition to the Obama campaign to use in the BS ad campaign about the Republican war on women. If you guys haven’t figured it out yet, you are just the same as the Obamatons! Simple truth here. Rush Limpballs has driven more people to vote FOR Democrats than any Democrat that has run for office in the last 12 years!

      PODVET, just one more soft, lilly-white member of Obama’s unisex army, stationed in Chicago and here to provoke conservatives in his childlike manner. With all the sexual references in his post, I have to assume he’s gay, probably an art student. His parents were divorced or never married, and he has no relationship with his father. He hates his mother, who’s probably a drunk and went through men like Hillary Clinton goes through pant suits. Obama excites him. Terribly. He loves everything about him. He doesn’t care if Obama eats dogs or not, because he hates animals. When Obama smiles, he gets a chill up his spine, then something running up, then down his leg. He’s a little piglet, and someday he’ll be a financial burden to us all.

      I had responded earlier, but it apparently did not post. Perhaps you brain dead Rush sycophants should check someones profile before hurling disparaging remarks simply because they do not fall for Rush’s BS. I am not an Obamaton, far from it. I am an honorably discharged Desert Storm vet who has been happily married to the same woman for over 18 years. Raising four beautiful children between 17 and 11 who are all being raised with morals and taught to look at someones actions rather than only listen to their words. Perhaps your parents failed to do that, and that is why you follow the drug addled Rush who blatantly received preferential treatment in direct contradiction to what he said should happen to any drug offender. Then he was not even charged when he was later caught with a prescription drug that belonged to someone else. He is cut from the same cloth as that twit Bill Maher. Rush like Maher is a known drug user, and has a long history of making sexist comments. He also encouraged people to violate election laws to ensure Hillary Clinton did not become the Dem nominee in 2008. Gee how did that work out for conservatives? He has repeatedly given the DNC ammunition to use against the RNC with his ignorant ramblings IE: Sandra Fluke! Now he is supplying the DNC with what will undoubtedly be the next clip of ammo for their faux campaign rhetoric that the RNC is at war with women. Just how is Rush a conservative? Is it his fine portrayal of family values being on wife #4?

      Hillary didn’t get the job she wanted but she is happy assisting Sweet Old Barack in trying to make the US a third world country. Sweet Old Barack likes the Muslim Brotherhood and Hillary says they are nice guys and we can work with them.
      It certainly appears that Sweet Old Barack is a Muslim and wants them to have more enfluence in the US. Maybe the truth will come out when he attempts his Coup de Etat and appoints hiumself Caliph.

    Rush is right again. People across the globe respected Condoleeza Rice. People across the globe laugh at Hillary Clinton. That laughter started with a woman in a blue dress and continues to this day.

    The only people who like, respect, admire her are communists, progressives and liberals and of course NOW but they encompass all three groups that I mentioned.

    By the way Rush, you are looking good. Marriage and decency is agreeing with you.

    When Hillary Clinton as US Secreatry of State – went public – about Pakistan needing to do more in capturing Terrorists, the Obama Administration knew for more than one Year (at least) – of the location of Osama bin Laden.

    Not until Osama put out a hit on Obama, did Obama make a move.

They are from roughly the same circle of radicals except the Clinton’s had the good sense to stay away from the likes of Wallis and Wright. There is no real policy differences between the Clintons and the Obamas. In may ways they are in lock step.

She has assisted merkel with the hostile takeover in greece…she’s kickin axx …depending what your idea of accomplishment is.

      You may want to go back to the rushlimbaugh.com archives about a month maybe 6 weeks and read about the whole context – it has something to do with the feminazi‘s bailing on Hillary’s presidential bid. It was her time, she had deserved it etc….
