Limbaugh: ‘Maybe the Real Terrorists We Face Are on Capitol Hill’

On Wednesday, Rush Limbaugh was still fired up over the GOP being called “hostage takers” by the president last week. So, he threw out some analogies of his own, comparing Democrats to “Al Capone” and “gangsters.” But he didn’t stop there — he went on to wonder if Democrats on the Hill are the real “terrorists.”

It could well be, ladies and gentlemen, that we’re fighting the wrong enemy in the Middle East. Maybe the real terrorists that we face are on Capitol Hill. I mean, really, who’s doing as good a job to undermine what this country stands for as the terrorists? ‘Dingy’ Harry, Nancy Pelosi. I mean, look, if they call us ‘hostage takers’ and ‘gangsters,’ then why can’t we call them what they are? They are terrorists. They certainly seem suicidal. Look at what they’re doing. Look at what they did. They knew they were going to get shellacked in this election and they did it! They knew they were gonna lose. And they want to take us with them.

There are Republicans currently favoring this bill including Scott Brown, George Voinovich, Olympia Snow, Kit Bond, Bob Bennett and Thad Cochran. This is a true shame, elected officials showing disdain for the American people’s wishes. Granted some of these are leaving office in a few days but some are going to represent their states for yet another term! I hope they change their mind and common sense prevails. IMHO

Even now you’re denied a lot of rights in the Bill of Rights by your government, through dint of law. This is a serious question. I’m very interested in how many others have, like me, seen the line in the sand crossed and finally said “no more, I’ll do as I will”.

We’re not like the cowardly, sheep-like, people in Europe. The SSI 2% deduction sounds good The “Govermnet Stupid” wants you to think that they are giving you some extra money. But it is yours to begin with. They are hoping you buy some $100 tennis shoes. Remember that SSI is retirement Insuraance you pay for. Insurance you get “If” you live long enough to collect it. The more you pay “INTO” SSI determines how much you get back when and IF you get to collect it!! So the 2% deduction is all so DEDUCTING from your SSI

From now on my money is on Beck, He challanges the Establishment and power brokers head-on and in their face on a daily basis with well documented facts and figures. He also gives us guidance with his opinions and recommendations. And he doesn’t recommend any action that he and his family are not already doing. In short…Beck puts his money where his mouth is. Thanks for reporting the news Rush. But I personally need more than reporting. I can find the info on Drudge and the Blaze. If and when it all falls apart where will you be Rush? Leading the charge or on your way to Singapore. Everyday I am more and more thankful for the Founders who were willing to backup their signing of the Declaration of Independence with action. You seemed to believe tax cuts for the rich (“the job creators”) will help the economy. The only people who make that claim are Republicans, who are either rich themselves and/or are fully aware of who funds their campaigns. That’s truly buying votes. But not reverting to the original tax rates for the rich (which were far, far higher under Reagan) is going to add a trillion bucks to the deficit, a fact conveniently compartmentalized and forgotten in the tax conversation. Nobody seems to care about the deficit provided the rich continue to cash in. As I’ve posted her before, corporate profits are the highest now since records have been kept (since the ’30s I believe).
Tax cuts for the rich create jobs, that’s the claim. But think a second, these tax cuts started under Bush. Job growth under Bush was abysmal, the lowest in thirty years. Look it up (google “job creation by President”). At least one year after the cuts job creation was lower than population growth. Tax cuts for the wealthy do not create jobs.
Jobs are created when there is demand for products and services. Only then do companies hire. And that happens when people like you and I have money.
Republicans didn‘t complain when Reagan ran up the deficit and didn’t when Bush did either. Why now?
Your just giving us the Republican strategy: complain about Democrats. Interesting how you don’t hear any ideas about reducing the deficit from Republicans, unless it’s to vote down benefits for 9/11 responders.

I know you won’t believe this, but I’m obligated to tell you: JOE MCCARTHY WAS CORRECT. He may have been a bad guy, may have used the wrong methods, dastardly even, but he was right about the communists.
Plus, how does having tax rates so high on anyone HELP the economy? Why do the “rich” have pay more percentage? Is it because certain people think they make too much? Republicans do make the wrong argument. It shouldn’t be about the economy, it should be about RIGHTS. I have a right to keep what I earned, and others don’t have the right to take a larger share of it to fund projects to make them feel good about themselves because they believe I make too much.
Who ever makes that amount of money gets to decide. The majority does not. We aren’t a democracy for that very reason. If a person wants to be selfish with their earnings, then they have the RIGHT, because it is their money. The only reason to demand more and more be confiscated with the full policing and jailing power of the gov’t when they already pay a greater PERCENTAGE of their income than others is because of envy. Envy is evil. Period.
By the way, job growth under Bush was one of the best ever. But he shouldn’t get credit. He didn’t do anything except convince congress to get the hell out of our way and stay out of our wallets. Perhaps that is a praiseworthy feat, but the economy never succeeds because of gov’t policy, it succeeds in spite of it. When if fails, sometimes it is because gov’t got in the way too much, like NOW.

Quick question… Why only for half the year?
Our company used to hire a lot of hispanics, until we found out most of them were illegal, and every single hispanic that we ended up hiring (we would work them 6 weeks through a temp service. If they worked well we hired them full time) no matter their age, would always claim 6 dependents. This way they kept almost their entire check each week and they even claimed child credit(?…I forget what its called) and got money back from Uncle Sam at the end of the year. Over the 15 years I was there we must have hired close to 1,000 hispanics and never did we have any of them claim less than 6 dependents.

Taxing the masses makes a LITTLE money .. but raising taxes on the rich is NOT going to fix the debt problem. It WILL further damage us .. and also stop ANY growth in its tracks!
Lower taxes mean businesses are more likely to invest in PRODUCTS .. LOCATIONS ..AND EMPLOYEES! This in turn causes jobs to be created (in many industries) and for products to be produced in AMERICA again. It’s not that complicated, really …. basic economic principles! If you weren’t brainwashed into thinking wealth redistribution was a GOOD idea, this would be common sense, really …

Are you so blind that you can’t see the spending and the massive size of our government is unconstitutional and is working to destroy America? Well .. we actually had one of the longest sustained periods of job growth in HISTORY under Bush. Fourty-Six months, actually. However presidents do not create jobs. Their policy can affect growth down the road but the fact is … there are many other variables to consider. The internet bubble bursting for example hurt Bush more than anything. He had no control over that. However … Obama on the other hand .. by wasting hundreds of billions of dollars .. probably damaged future job growth to an extent that we won’t even see for several years. It will probably fall under a Republican president, too! Which in turn will be blamed on the CURRENT POTUS instead of the actual one who is to blame.
Here’s the bottom line: We have to cut taxes and cut spending .. in a massive way. People will hurt. EVERYONE will hurt. You leftwing patsys might not be able to afford your morning Starbucks every day! Oh no! However in all seriousness .. if we want to fix the problems this country is facing it won’t be EASY however we need to do it the RIGHT way! Bailouts only DELAY the problem. Do you want to fix things for .. 20 years .. and then let these issues fall onto your children or grand-children? OR .. do you want to fix them NOW so we can actually guarantee a FUTURE for this nation?
