Limbaugh Slams Gingrich’s Attacks on Romney: ‘He Sounds Like Elizabeth Warren!’

Since his poor showing in the Iowa caucuses, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich has taken a much more aggressive stance against his GOP opponents.

Watch Gingrich attack former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney over his time at Bain Capital (criticism starts at the 4:02 mark):

However, many political commentators believe that the former Speaker has gone too far. On his radio show today, conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh was fit to be tied over the Speaker’s recent comments.

“Small businesses have always worried about ‘Big Business’? Main Street has always been suspicious of Wall Street? ‘People have a natural concern?’ They see financiers come in from out of town, take over a company? Take all the profits and leave unemployment behind?” Limbaugh said.

“My gosh, that’s what the people who indict capitalism say!” Limbaugh said. “The way Newt’s talking here, I’ve never heard him speak this way before, I must tell you. And the way he’s speaking — this sounds like left-wing social engineering.”

Listen to Limbaugh dissect the former Speaker’s recent comments via Daily Rushbo:

Later on his show, Limbaugh addressed additional comments made by the former Speaker.

“Folks, things happen. Sometimes, they happen for a reason. Now, one of the things you have to say that is happening here is, whether he intends it or not, we’re finding out some things about Newt that we didn’t know. He sounds like Elizabeth Warren!” Limbaugh said.

Listen to Limbaugh continue to explain Gingrich’s comments via Daily Rushbo:

And Limbaugh isn’t the only one who’s disappointed with the former Speaker’s comments and these type of attacks on Romney. Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) blasted critics for attacking the former Massachusetts governor with Gingrich-esque arguments.

“I think they’re wrong. I think they’re totally misunderstanding the way the market works,” Paul told ABC’s Jonathan Karl in reference to attacks leveled against Romney for his “firing” comments. “They are either just demagoguing or they don’t have the vaguest idea how the market works.”

“I think they’re way overboard on saying that he wants to fire people, he doesn’t care,” Paul said. “You save companies, you save jobs when you reorganize companies that are going to go bankrupt. And they don’t understand that.”

Whether he meant to or not, Gingrich (and similar critics) have accomplished one thing: they’ve united conservatives ranging from Rush Limbaugh, to

I question why Newt is not allowed to fight back. Romney reportedly used millions in ads before Iowa aimed at Gingrich. Is he supposed to sit on his hands while Romney attacks? I will support the nominee when it is time, however this is a primary and political blood is going to be spilled. I would rather see any cracks in the armor now, than say the end of October. Besides, this is minor compared to the onslaught that is comming at nominee this summer and fall. One billion in campaign dollars with the same media as in 2008 and you may see the biggest political fight in history.

The diffference is, Newt isn’t attacking Romney. This isn’t like the brilliant move he pulled by replaying the McCain campaign ad from four years ago. Heck, I was cheering him on while he did it.

But, Newt is now attacking FREE MARKET CAPITALISM. It‘s none of Newt’s damn business how much money Romney made…. or anyone ELSE for that matter.

What makes it worse is that there is a TON of legitimate stuff Newt could decimate Romney with. But, no, Newt had to play the Lefty Progressive class warfare bullcr@p. Newt’s done.

Beg to differ, we’ll have to live with it but moderate liberal Romney is not much better then our choice in 2008 with McCain. Will be interesting if 2012 turns out the same as 2008? By the way Romney leveled 4 Pinocchio ads on Speaker Gingrich first.

And who did Romney lose out to in the 2008 elections please remind me again? So is this the order that we must follow because McCain lost therefore we must support Mitt Romney? I can‘t for the life of me understand how the man can win or why he is winning when he couldn’t even take out McCain? Now all of a sudden he becomes the front runner for the Republican Party how can this make any sense? The way I see it the wealth from McCain through his wife, the wealth through Romney through his father, and the wealth from John Huntsman from his father, so that leaves 4 standing. It‘s not that these people have wealth but it is the amount of wealth that they have that I frown from and no I’m not an OSW supporter it’s what they do with that wealth that concerns me. You see I know Glenn adorers John Huntsman Senior and the good that he has done with his hospital I’m just wondering why he does not back his son? Or does he?

Many in government need a lesson in capitalism. If you are risking your own money then you are apt to cut your losses before you lose everything. Government will keep spending trillions of dollars on projects that lose money and will never make money. They are spending tax money after all so there is no loss to them. Private enterprise will take 180 billion and not pocket it but invest elsewhere and make more money and create more jobs.

      RIGHTWINGLEFTY——
Karl Marx coined the word “capitalism” in the mid 1800s——–I like to use the term, “Free-Markets” to describe our economic system. With free markets, we are all free to strive; sometimes becoming VERY wealthy—-with that “Freedom”, we also have the freedom to fail. Failure (or the possibility of failure), in my opinion, is just as important as success. The problem with all the social-safety-nets are that our competative edge as a society suffers. People are content to just suck on the tit of society.

Rush is only ahead of Beck because he doesn’t hock gold from a company charging enormous mark-ups, ripping off his listeners. Thats Beck Hannity and Levin who do that. Both Beck and Rush have a clear militarism agenda where regardless of where a candidate stands on every other issue, if they disagree on foreign policy they are “dangerous” and get completely dismissed by so-called conservatives. Would that be that 78 percent of the businesses in Bain succeeded or that 22 percent failed? Would that be the number of jobs created and saved by the survival of the successful businesses or the loss of the jobs through the eventual death of businesses already doomed to fail? Would it be that Romney made millions for himself and his family through his greediness or that he helped make businesses that thrived through his hard work and effort.
