Limbaugh, Tea Party, & Guns Already Blamed for Colo. Theater Shooting (And Wait Until You See What ABC Did)

It did not take very long for opportunists to try and twist the tragedy in Colorado to match their own beliefs.

ABC news has already found someone to place blame on the Tea Party, Brian Ross from Good Morning America:
“There is a Jim Holmes of Aurora, CO, uh Paige, on the Colorado Tea Party site as well, talking about him joining the Tea Party last summer. We don’t know if this is the same Jim Holmes, but it is Jim Holmes of Aurora, Colorado.”
UPDATE #1: Breitbart is now reporting that the Jim Holmes on the Tea Party site mentioned by ABC News’ Brian Ross, is nowhere near the same age as the shooting suspect.
The James Holmes who was arrested at the Aurora theater was 24 years old and seems to be from Denver, CO, according to a Facebook profile. There are many people with the name “James Holmes” in the area, and the James Homes on the Tea Party website could match a James Homes from Aurora, CO who is in his fifties and therefore does not fit the description of the suspect.
UPDATE #2: Politico has just posted that ABC News made a correction to this story and also issued an apology for the Jim Holmes error.
“An earlier ABC News broadcast report suggested that a Jim Holmes of a Colorado Tea Party organization might be the suspect, but that report was incorrect. ABC News and Brian Ross apologize for the mistake, and for disseminating that information before it was properly vetted.”
NYC‘s Mayor Bloomberg and CNN’s Piers Morgan have also chosen to use the deadly shootings in Aurora, CO to push their own political agendas.
Bloomberg, a vociferous anti-gun billionaire whose security guards are allowed to own and carry weapons, has already challenged both President Obama and Mitt Romney to make a stand for tougher gun control.
“But maybe it’s time the two people who want to be president of the United States stand up and tell us what they’re going to do about it, because this is obviously a problem across the country.”
Not long after the incident was reported, CNN’s Piers Morgan decided that he would use the tragedy to make his position on guns known.
Morgan’s obvious lack of knowledge about the guns laws in America was pointed out by many on Twitter. Michelle Malkin also tried to teach the Brit some of the positive benefits of gun ownership:
The link in Ms. Malkin’s tweet was tied to a 2007 story about a shooter in a Colorado church. Lives were saved that day because of an armed security guard in the church. She saw the shooter and took decisive action.
And then came the blame game on Twitter. Here a just a few of the tweets that want to blame Rush Limbaugh for this:
Hollywood is also going to wake up and hear about this horrific event and find a way to get their names and faces on it. Actor John Leguizamo gets points for being one of the first celebs to stand up (via Twitter) and demand that all guns be taken away.

This may well serve to sweep Fast & Furious under the rug for a while. I’ve been flipping back and forth from Fox, CNN, and BSNBC. Fox is doing straight forward news casting about the incident itself, while the other two are swirling around re-reporting all of the other well known shootings making comparisons in what seems to be an attempt to tie them together because of our gun laws. Well, it seems to be lack of gun laws. As well to the Tea Party.

Weapons will always be available to those who want them especially if they have no regard for the law to begin with, all that will be accomplished is to disarm the law abiding, many of whom have stopped criminal insanity. Police are never there to do that, they clean up afterward in most cases. Guns, healthcare, financial, student loans, domestic drones, industry, illegal soft drinks, and education; I think a power grab is in motion over the people of this country, and it mat be too late to stop it.

He had seen the crowd and was going to check it out after he got his smokes. He had a gun on his person and a carry permit. If he had gonr over to the crowd first he could have pulled his gun and saved all those folks and been a bigger hero than he was. Here in Oklahoma we go to open carry on Nov. 1st. – you can carry a gun in a holster if you like as long as you have your permit on you. I will still carry my double barrel derringer in my boot and my wife will have her .38 Lady Smith in her purse.Bloomburg and all the anti gunners should go after all the smokers and companys that produce them.

It worked to shut up the Romney’s dog on the top of the car story when it came out that Obama ate a dog. It worked in made up the hair cutting story when evidence came out that Obama admitted to beating up a little girl when he was in school. When Pelosi was asked for her tax returns, she shut up pretty quickly about insisting that Romney produce his.

The liberals got upset because Rush “outed” them. Rush never said the Bane character was like Romney. Rush acknowledged when the Bane character was created and that the creator of the Batman series was a conservative. In fact, Rush said that Batman was more like Romney and Bane was more like Occupy.

You need a permit to OPEN CARRY? Doesn’t the 2nd amendment allow you to open carry? Or are you speaking of a city where there is in an ordinance in place against open carry? Just confusing to me as I always thought one can legally open carry as they can where I live…. concealed carry is a different item here and requires a permit, but open carry is pretty much the same as hunting — a gun in open view.

There are over 30 lawyers waiting to see who gets his case of Defamation of Character and will see how deep ABC’s and Brian Rosses pockets are. This kind of news reporting could get an average joe with a simular name killed. What if some distraught parent of one of the victoms knew this guy and snapped and grabbed his baseball bat or a knife and went over there and beat in his brains or cut his throat.

The theater failed to protect is patrons in light of the fact they knew the potential of danger (hence, their perceived need for the ‘zone’). Multiple victims/family of victims can bring suit against the theater and parent company for not allowing patrons to protect themselves against the theater’s known dangers.

If someone in the audience had been legally carrying, there is a good chance that a lot of the casualties would not have happened. The shooter would probably have been taken out soon after the first shots were fired.
Obama will use this to change gun control laws, however this event should also be used to counter Obama’s one sided theory and be used to justify leaving gun control laws as they are.

In the United States, the governement is headed by a President that has been cleverly achieving every goal set forth in the type of world he envisions along with the dark cabal, to project humanity forward into a New World Order.
Acceptance of a Nobel Peace Prize should assure us that no person worthy of that award would ever result to violence without extensive council. However the death toll is too large to accurately track due to the number of conflicts and countries Obama expanded the war on terror into. The envisioned government of Obama has the right to take any citizen ‘suspected’ as a threat to the government and ‘detain them indefinitely’. This of course would include any citizen who opposes that a person can be taken and locked away for being ‘suspected’ of anything that cannot be proven in a timely manner in front of a jury of peers ,who will decide if the act was a threat to the collective society.
The theatre created to give the disguise that there is any justice to this way of thinking is in Cuba. Its called GITMO and now the media that once held it up as such a travesty to the human spirit, are no longer allowed to be at the site, or report on it. Once in a prison with no human rights you are then held until ‘shipped’ (rendition) to an undisclosed country to be interrogated further.This after promises to shut down all operations a year after being elected to office?

Remember years ago a woman & her parents went into a cafeteria in Texas. Although she had a permit to carry, she left her gun in the car. A gunman came in and killed a few people, including her parents. Just think, if she had kept her gun on her, the results would have been very different. Get some classes, then get a permit and carry the darn thing, could save many lives from the bad boy outlaws.

Medical mistakes take more lives than guns. Read this:
Preventable Medical Errors
Did you know that Preventable Medical Errors are the eighth leading cause of death in America? What can you do to protect yourself from becoming the next victim?
A recently released report from the National Academy of Science’s Institute showed that that between 44,000 and 98,000 people die each year in U.S. hospitals because of mistakes made by medical professionals. This shocking fact means that more people die from medical errors than from motor vehicle accidents, breast cancer, or Aids.
Dr. Donald Berwick of the Institute of Medicine believes that the figures for medical mistakes given in the report are in reality much higher. The first reason he gives is that many errors are never even written down, much less reported. Dr. Berwick goes on to say that the current medical errors study didn’t include other important areas in the health care system where mistakes can be made:
Personally, I’m more afraid of getting a medical mistake than I am of meeting someone with a gun. Legal, carry permits make more people safe.

Because they have a big sign saying “Nobody here is armed. Have at it.” I remember a shooter popping up in a mall in Minnesota some years ago. An off-duty cop from Utah was there with his ankle holstered .38 Because he ignored that sign, he was able to pin the shooter into a corner until the cops arrived. He saved countless innocent lives. If you have a “gun free zone” sign up on you’re establishment, you are accepting the responsibility of every patron’s security. Since they were unable to provide that security, they are liable. Here is something people seem to have missed; the witnesses have stated the shooter came INTO the theater via a FIRE EXIT door. How could he have gotten in via the door without the alarms on it having been disabled first? Not to mention it would activate emergency lighting in that theater?
This sounds like a madman indeed, not a terrorist, yet it does make me wonder if this was planned for some time in advance and not a spur of the moment action.
