What is sad, we know nothing about King Hussein and we know everything about Romney. The have reported on his grandfather’s migration to Mexico, but yet we hear nothing about Kinn g Hussein‘s trip to Pakistan in 1981 when American’s weren’t allowed to go to Pakistan.
Reid comes out amd says Romney didn’t pay taxes for 10 years. Everyone believes his slander, but when a Sheriff says King Hussein’s birth certificate is a fraud no one bats an eye.
We need to continue to vette our candidates thoroughly and realize the right and the left are playing the same game.
As Conservative Christians we need to work hard in order to send Constitutionally sound members to Congress.

The left will bash Romney on anything they can. The leftist trolls on here like to come up with attacks on Romney not supporting the constitution, Romneycare, gun control, etc. . . All of that is old news. The trolls are not going to vote for him no matter what. They are only here to bash the conservative candidate. Romney is far more conservative than people realize, and he was smart enought to change his view several years ago to become more conservative. That was a good and postive move, not a flip-flop. I am shocked at the so-called conservatives attacking Romney for becoming more conservative. It is not a flip-flop when a politician becomes more conservative.

Expecting fair coverage is what is so funny. If the right doesnt know by now the MSM is for the left and will not do stories on these things then they will never get it.

Who doesnt know about Obama’s past now? I think its fair for presidential nominees to be looked at in every way. The right is acting like Romney isnt holding back anything. Trust me, be it the tax returns or something, the man has skeletons also.

Talk radio, Fox, and the establishment are setting up excuses for when Romney gets curb stomped in November.

For those of you who don’t think Mormons are Christian, sorry to break your bubble, but you don’t get to decide. You can call them a cult, you can call them strange, you can even run them out of Missouri (and Illinois) but at the end of the day, you did not stop them. You won’t stop them from running for president, you won‘t stop them from protecting you in the military and you certainly won’t stop them from worshiping Jesus Christ in their own way. Your name calling makes you anything but Christian.

It amazes me how many of the posters here will bash Mormonism/Romney on one hand and then say what a great job Glenn Beck (a Mormon) is doing. Then they bash Harry Reid but not because he’s a Mormon. In fact, no one ever talks about Harry Reid being a Mormon.

Here’s a novel idea: how about we look at the candidates/politicians/talk show hosts as individuals and watch what they do/have done with their lives. That is much more indicative of what you will get going forward than judging based on one’s religion. I don’t care what church Obama goes to; I care that he has gotten this country into unfathomable debt with his socialist programs and I want that to stop. At this point, the only choice we have is Romney. Let’s get behind him and hold his feet to the fire going forward.

@1convoice- when the religion is one which demands so much of hour time and life, then it is a very important part of who and what you are. When the religion demands you to believe “facts” that are completely improbable and impossible to confirm then it is important in identifying what kind of person you are.

I have interest in whether LDS is christian, I only know things…the LDS members I know are always ‘nice’ people, and my daughters have been aware for years that I would be disappointed if they married into the church (rather the boy convert).

@SimpleTruths Obviously you’re ignorant with the news.
“telling Catholics what to believe”: Look up “Health-Reform Battle Over Contraception Heats Up“ or ”College joins Catholics on contraception challenge”
“booting Chick-Fil-A out of town”: Look up “Boston mayor vows to keep Chick-fil-A out of city“ or ”NYC official draws ire in attempt to run Chick-fil-A out of town”
“mocking Mitt Romney’s religion”: This one’s trickier, nothing I can see directly connects, yet, but when your surrounding liberals act one way usually you’ll be acting the same (even if only in private).

More murderous religion is the last thing that humanity needs.

Our choice is between a known communist and a Progressive, cult-member-Mormon who helped create the prototype for American socialized medicine.

Progressive Romney will never get my vote.

Conservatives want their social(ist) safety net just like Progressives. Conservatives love their government handouts too (social(ist) security, medicare, etc.) When both ‘sides’ want socialism, you get socialism. You can’t have your cake and eat it too, Conservatives.

The future of socialist, religious America is not a bright one.

Today’s Conservative has little in common with the founders, they are socialists in denial.

Mormons seem like good people, even though they don’t call themselves Christians.
Glenn Beck is Mormon. Who doesn’t love the Osmond family? They are Mormon.
    Isn’t Gladys Knight Mormon also?
The Mormon Tabernacle Choir is magnificent.

Mormons full heartedly consider themselves Christians. The whole religion is based on the teachings of Christ. Hence the name of the church, “The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.” It is others outside of this church that say they are not Christians.

To assist the uninformed. Mormons will always claim to be Christian because they believe that Jesus is the Christ and the only person who can save us from sin and help us return to heaven. … The same as all other Christian denominations.

I do not understand all the hullaballoo over Mormonism. The only examples of Mormonism in my personal life are all positive. They were all good people. I went to a church in MA when I was young and nobody put pressure on me to join their faith. I saw people of high character with strong family values. They did not reject me b/c I was not a Mormon. This was plenty for me not to form a bad opinion of them. I will not listen to any church, or pastor, if I am told to reject a Mormon person solely b/c he or she practices the Mormon faith. Doing such, only reinforces my opinion of the “man-made” side of religion. Character matters and should be a much higher measuring stick than which faith a person claims.

Totally agree. It doesn’t matter what you call your religion. It’s all based on a Higher Loving Being. Obama’s is the exception. . . all based on negativity and hate. We are in a time when we all have to make a choice between GOOD and EVIL, not Democrat or Republican. I pray for him every day.

The attacks on Mormonism make sense from a purely strategic point of view. The DNC strategy is about scaring those on the left into action by making Romney into a villain, and getting people on the right queasy enough about Romney that they’ll stay home on election day. The attacks on Mormons aren’t about provoking the left, but on dissuading the right. There are really 3 elements to take into account for this anti-mormon push that we’re seeing:
      1. The MSM isn‘t necessarily going to directly bash Romney’s religion, but they’ll do polls and concern stories frequently enough to shine a filtered spotlight on the discussion.
      2. The left employs mobys to stir up controversy and divert support away from Romney. These are lefties pretending to be conservatives that inject religion and romneycare into all debates. Now matters of policy are open to debate, but when the same individual injects religion into his bashing then it should be understood that their objections are not based solely on policy, and should not be taken at face value if such was previously claimed.
      3. There is an antipathy towards Mormons perpetuated by preachers in some denominations. I’ve been on the receiving end of arguments learned from 6 week seminars given by other faiths on their interpretations of Mormon religion. The political left knows that this is the case, and is using points 1 and 2 in an effort to turn that antipathy into voter apathy.
