LOS ANGELES (The Blaze/AP) — Lindsay Lohan sported a new accessory after a judge revoked her probation: Handcuffs. The actress was escorted from a hearing Wednesday in handcuffs after Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner revoked Lohan‘s probation because she was ousted from a community service assignment at a women’s shelter.

Bail has been set at $100,000.

“There has been violation after violation,” Sautner said.

A city prosecutor said the actress should be jailed, but Sautner said Lohan was entitled to a probation violation hearing.

The recommendation is the latest legal problem for the 25-year-old Lohan, who was given probation for a 2007 drunken driving case and a misdemeanor theft case this year.

Sautner set a Nov. 2 hearing to decide whether Lohan warrants another return to jail, where she has been sent four previous times only to be released early due to jail overcrowding.

“If jail meant something in the state of California now, maybe I’d put her in jail,” Sautner said.

Lohan’s spokesman Steve Honig said Lohan immediately posted bail. It was unclear if she had been released.

“Lindsay is hoping this matter will be resolved on Nov. 2 and the court will reinstate probation and allow her to continue fulfilling her community service,” Honig said.

Lohan had been ordered in April to serve 360 hours at the Downtown Women’s Center, an agency that helps homeless women. Sautner said nine of Lohan’s appointments at the center were “just blown off” and she “showed up once and left after an hour.”

Lohan has since started serving hours with the American Red Cross, but Sautner said that would not count because it was not part of her sentence.

“We’re dealing with someone on probation,” said Lohan’s attorney, Shawn Holley. “Most people on probation don’t always do things perfectly.”

Lohan, aside from a role in last year’s film “Machete,” has seen her acting career evaporate in recent years. She has been in perpetual trouble since May 2010.

Another judge determined she violated her probation in a 2007 drunken driving case and sentenced her to jail and rehab. She faltered after being released early from a rehab facility early and was sent to the Betty Ford Center, where she got in an altercation with a rehab worker who later sued.

Within weeks of her release from Betty Ford, Lohan was accused of taking a $2,500 necklace without permission from an upscale jewelry store near her home in the Venice neighborhood of Los Angeles. Sautner determined the January incident constituted a probation violation, and Lohan was ordered to undergo psychological counseling and perform 480 hours of community service, with 120 hours to be spent at the county morgue.

Lohan later pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge in the necklace theft case, and served 35 days of a four-month sentenced on house arrest.

    Some here have come to the same conclution as myself in that she will never change or be rehibilated . Lindsay‘s acting career has all but evaporated up in recent years along with her life line ’ like a cats nine lives’ all but used up. All the psychological counseling, community service, rehab, kings horses and Kings men could never put this life together again . For someday soon the grim reaper will come and not let Lohan plead no contest anymore.

      I didn’t know she appeared in that movie. It’s one of the most hateful, anti-white movies ever made. It advocates killing whites by illegal aliens, because they hold whites responsible for keeping them from flooding into the country.

      Any white person who would accept a role in such a hate-filled episode must surely hate their own people. In her case, the Hollywood plantation haters have brainwashed and programmed her into her despicable mindset. I understand when they accomplish the creation of a white who hates her/himself….like Baldwin, Sarandon, Garafalo, Sean Pen, etc., they put their heads together over a coctail party and laugh with glee.

      It is her brainwashing to be a self-hating white that prompts her to steal necklaces and become insolent towards society as a whole, because she has been propagandized to believe society is part of the evil white establishment power structure and perpetrating crimes against it will help bring it down.

      Brown rouge? It’s to please her plantation owners. You know, like adopting a black baby all the way from Africa when there are millions of white kids here dying to get a good home?

      There is MUCH evil in Hollywood.

      Um, morgues don’t use embalming fluid. They store bodies for the medical examiner to process or for families to claim where they would take to a funeral home where embalming would take place

    If celebrities were not consistently given preferential treatment from the courts their behavior might be a little more civilized. They should pay the same price for their wrongdoing as every other American is expected to. “Justice is blind” “We are all created equal” are just meaningless words. Reality is a different story.

    When will the court system save tax payers the money? Either make her pay for everything that is used to bring her in or lock the crazy bitch up for more than a few weeks.     She should be jailed. It‘s hilarious that the judge says maybe she WOULD jail her if jail ’meant something’ in CA. Well. Let me tell you how it starts to “mean something” again, your honor. You UPHOLD THE LAW and force people to do the time for the crime. Yeah…it DOES kind of lose it’s meaning when celebrities get let out after mere hours due to “overcrowding” or whatever BS. The only way to deter crime is to PUNISH crime. It’s your job, your honor, to uphold the law. All the liberalist crap about ‘rehabilitating’ criminals is hogwash. The only ‘rehabilitater’ I know of is God. And He is the only one who can change the heart of those bent on hurting themselves and others through illegal means. Therefore, jail is a punishment for the criminal, deters future criminal activity by at least imposing a punishment that hopefully makes criminals think twice, and while that criminal is jailed, keeps the streets safer for the innocent who just want to be productive citizens in this country!

    What a shame , instead of making a gazillion dollars making movies, shes gooffing off, taking drugs, drinking and driven, stealing jewerly, she will eventually loose her looks, then OD on drugs, and become a member of the 27 club, I seriously hope not, but it doesnt look good for her, she has to care about where she going before something changes. sad!

      She sentences Lohan to community service for not doing community service.

      When Lohan is dead, the judge will be saying, “What a shame, she had a bright future.”

      Maybe some tough love is the only answer.

    Short of locking them up, you can’t keep people from killing themselves with drugs. Even then, it might only be a temporary fix.

    If doing her community service time isn’t convenient for her – lock her up in a shrink ward. If she’s definitely doing drugs – hunt dow her dealer and lock him/her/them up.

    What’s it going to take, a “Lohan’s body found” headline to stop this?

      I’m starting to believe she has mental issues. Not that liberal “someone called her fat at school” crap…I’m talking congenital mental problems. She‘s getting tested for drugs and alcohol as part of her probation so I’m reasonably certain it’s not that. Then again…someone may be helping her hide it. She just seems to be very detached from reality. Then again…she could be exactly what she appears to be…a classless trollop who can’t stay out of trouble. Have I second guessed myself enough?

      Maybe there are mental issues, but she seems to be an entitled little dope. No one will lock her up until she kills a person in a drunken car crash. That will be a sad ending. Many musicians, sports figures, and actors have killed people [DUI] and basically walked away.
