Look Familiar? Romney’s New Ad Blasting Obama Is Identical to One Obama Used to Blast McCain

Now this is clever.

After President Obama said last Friday that the private sector was “doing fine,” Mitt Romney has released a new ad excoriating him. But if after seeing it you think it looks familiar, you would be right: it’s a replica of one Obama released in 2008 blasting then-candidate John McCain.

“As The Huffington Post’s Jon Ward first noticed,” Business Insider writes, ” it’s the exact same ad — the tone, the music, the font, everything — the Obama campaign used to hit John McCain in 2008, after the Republican candidate said, ‘The fundamentals of our economy are strong.’”

    I keep looking for that Ron Paul chat / blog site so I can stop in and be a gratuitous a$$ with the paul folks menacing here. Face it, those that are saying we’re out of time and the crash is imminent are the same ones that can mount a worthy campaign for Paul, yet want to run the friggin’ country. Go figure.

      You act like I’m following RP blindly. I’m following him because I have done my homework.

      He truely is our modern day Thomas Jefferson.
      No matter how bad the world gets; HE WILL FIGHT FOR THE CONSTITUTION AND FREEDOM.

      You can try to convince me to vote Romney but I‘m pretty sure I’ll stay with my Constitution and set out the elections this year just like it will.

      And the arguement of “anybody but Obama” or “He’s a businessman” will not work for me.

      There is more at stake here than the economy. In case you haven’t noticed; The Constitution is about to go bye-bye and we voted for its destruction.

      You can‘t blame me as I’m not a baby boomer. I haven’t had the opprotunity to vote “the lesser of two evils” for all these years.
      You get what you vote for and the baby boomers chose DEPT and loss of freedom.
      We are getting close to the end of the line for this republic with laws like NDAA and the Patriot Act.

      I won‘t be writing Ron Paul and and I won’t be voting for Romney or Obama.
      So good luck with the contest.

      My only last hope is that perhaps Romney will flip-flop the Constitutional way this time…..

    evidently the paulbots on here haven’t considered that campaign ads are typically written by hired firms. Sometimes, the firm (or person) who wrote the ads for the previous election, write the ads for the current election – and sometimes for the opposing candidate…

    but then again, expecting more from the paulbots will just leave us unsatisfied.

    We Paul supporters have been trying to twll all of you that Romney and Obama are the same. This should wake you up a little.

    Lawyers for Ron Paul have filed a federal lawsuit aginst the RNC with 1000 + plaintiffs where several of the plaintiffs are GOP chairs. This lawsuit will change how we do elections in the future as it will most likely unbind the delegates on the first round in Tampa. This is the biggest story of the election so far, but you will not see this on the MSM and The Blaze has been blocking me from giving you the link to read this complaint.

    So, go to the Daily Paul, click on the search tab, type in: Delegates to the Republican National Convention v. Republican National Committee

    Click on that story link, there are links in the story, but the best link is in the comments below. You can scroll to comment that is headed Doc Link. There you can read the complaint.

    Sorry that you have to go through the steps above to read the complaint filed, but every attempt I have made to link you to the actual complaint has been blocked by The Blaze. Everyone should read this complaint, if for no other reason the fact that The Blaze has been blocking it.

      Waking, I agree with you that people like being ostriches, but this is so important that it IS going to change the way we do elections going forth. Candidates will no longer have the convenience of bound delegates. They will actually have to work hard in getting their supporters to be active in the process if they want the nomination. They will no longer have the ability to flip votes from one candidate to another, they will no longer be able to get the nomination if they are disconnected with voters. This is very good news for Paul supporters as when the judge rules, and the judge will have no choice with the way the federal law is worded, that delegates must be unbound on the first and subsequent votes in Tampa at the national convention. Like I said, this will be a game changer that will stay for future elections going forward. This is the biggest story of the election so far this year.

      WEST COAST..spare me your Ron Paul-ite tactics. They don’t work on me. If you want to stay home in November and keep Obama in office, that‘s your choice sunshine but don’t try to convince others to do the same. Obama’s proven not only to be an incompetent, but a dangerous one at that.
      He has no business in the oval office. This country has had enough pain inflicted on it.
      Romney understands the engines of commerce and growth which is exactly what this country needs right now. Obama is utterly clueless and another four years of the neophyte is simply out of the question.

      InLight, In case you have not read the federal law, this is how it is worded:
      42 USC 1971
      …(b) Intimidation, threats, or coercion
      No person, whether acting under color of law or otherwise, shall intimidate, threaten, coerce, or attempt to intimidate, threaten, or coerce any other person for the purpose of interfering with the right of such other person to vote or to vote as he may choose, or of causing such other person to vote for, or not to vote for, any candidate for the office of President, Vice President, presidential elector, Member of the Senate, or Member of the House of Representatives, Delegates or Commissioners from the Territories or possessions, at any general, special, or primary election held solely or in part for the purpose of selecting or electing any such candidate.

      There is also Supreme court rulings to back this up. I do not see a federal judge ignoring this federal statute that supercedes state law. Just saying.

      Avenge, my post is not to try to sway you one way or another. It is the biggest news story of the election to date. It will change the way we do elections in the future. The federal law is clear that even under the color of law, delegates, or anyone for that matter, cannot be forced to vote any other way than their conscience tells them. The first round in Tampa will be at play here. If there are 1144 Paul supporters as delegates at the convention, they will all vote for Paul on the first round. I believe that the federal judge will have no choice but to follow the wording in the federal statute. Just my take. We will see what happens, but we are talking the 9th circuit here.

      WCP: I’ve asked this before with no response…Why do we have primaries if the delegate has the right to cast a vote absent the discretion of the outcome of the primary vote (will of the people). The convention is a mere formality of that voting process. You simplify and it is not so simple. Some states go by districting, some by total vote, some by %….am I wrong on that? Again…why do we have primaries?

      InLight, I have explained this to others, but maybe you missed it, I will try again. First, everything I am going to say is addressed in the complaint, so I urge you to go through the steps above in order to read the cpmplaint since The Blaze has blocked every attempt I have made to give a link directly to it.
      The RNC has commited election fraud through the entire primary. It is not an election if the vote is fixed. Rules were broken, federal election laws were broken, the vote was joke. Paul has shown that he is connected with voters by the massive crowds at every event he has done, where Romney has shown a disconnect with the voters at every event he has done. Our elections are supposed to be done where an underdog, if he/she can get a grassroots movement that gets involved in the process, can defeat a rich candidate that has the ability to but the vote. This is why it is so important for supporters to be involved in the process in order to further their candidate in the process. I cannot help it that Romney is so disconnected that his supporters are not fighting for delegate spots enough. Go read the complaint.

      Avenge, DID YOU look at the complaint? Probably not. Sheeple is as Sheeple does. Going through life in ignorance does not help anyone, especially the people that surround you. The federal law on this is in black and white. I am not saying that Ron Paul will get the nomination, I am saying that I believe this lawsuit WILL unbind the delegates, it will force an in depth look at possible election fraud, tampering with the vote, etc…. I do not see how a federal judge could overlook the federal law and allow the state law to override the federal law. If this happens, it will make all federal laws questionable when it comes to state law. This will show the danger of too many federal laws and put to question how many federal laws do we really want on the books. This movement of ours is not just about Ron Paul, it is about stopping our out of control federal government and putting the power back to the people. It is about liberty, and I for the life of me, cannot figure you people out about not wanting to get back to our Constitution the way it was meant to be. This lawsuit is going to change the way we do elections into the future. Either no delegate will be bound ever, or this federal law must be repealed. You people think you have the election won with Romney, but it is not true, he cannot and will not get the votes he needs. I am just stating facts.

    Three issues. One, our studied resolve that the Obama administration has really f***ed our economy up only translates into one vote for Mitt Romney. Two, 90% of the people have already made up their mind. It’s the 10% who have not started to “think” about the election that is the problem and the solution. It is asking for all voting machines to be saved with all voting records, it explains the election fraud and federal statute violations the RNC has done through the primary. Do not think the Dems are the only ones who lie, cheat and steal. The GOP is full of progressives and it is our job as “We The People” to weed these progressives out, not vote another one in.

      Haus, This reiterates my point on how electable Romney is. The Dems, who would vote for Paul, will not vote for Romney. The Independents will be split if Romney getsw the nod, but the majority of Independents would vote for Paul, The youth will vote for Paul but will stay home for Romney. That leave Republicans, you guys, who have repeatedly said anyone but Obama. Romney has a very good chance of gining Obama four more, where Paul would win by a landlside. His policies do not merit the distancing that Republicans have done with Paul. It is the establishment media that has put that idea in peoples head.

    I have had a bit of trouble getting behind Mitt but this helps me. If he will stand up to Obama and for the Constitution, I will vote for him in November.

      I still believe a solid choice for VP will be all the difference. Whoever it may be needs to be very capable of taking command and winning in 2020. The dems need to slapped around and decimated from any type leadership role. look at this fine mess they have us in since 07 when the held house & senate….

      If Hilary is the dem nominee in 016, watch out. she will be just as bad as obama. She too is a global UN loving, commie marxist Alinskyite control freak shill ….She is a joke as our Sec of state, just look at the middle east ….The Russians & Chicoms are licking their chops

    I gotta say, I was not thrilled when Romney got the ticket. Kinda felt like “a can of dog food would be better than P.Obama so who ever the heck gets the R next to their name I’m voting for. Oh well I guess its Romney.” Anyway, I have to say that I’ve been fairly impress with how he is doing so far. I don‘t want to jinx anything so I’m knocking on some serious wood at the moment but I’ve been impressed with his class thus far and the intelligent way his campaign has been handled. It’s only June and November is a long way off, but he’s been classy, intelligent and letting the Obama camp hang itself with it’s own rope (words.) Good job so far Mitt!!! Pray God that he keeps it up and wins in November. Then we have a long four year fight on our hands to keep it from going to Hillary in 2016. November is only the beginning. If they are scared now, we’re only just getting started. Only thing you’ve done is waken a sleeping giant. Don‘t say we didn’t warn you.

      I was like you. Then, I began to notice his answers in the debates, his manner and I liked what I saw. I can whole-heartedly support him and thankful we have him. I‘ve also noticed that he doesn’t back off from any fight (like McCain) and he doesn’t speak “politicaleze” (like McCain does). I think he‘s going to clean O’s clock and then the WH and then undo the horrid Marxist/Socialist/Communists mess that is stiffling our economy. REMEMBER: THE DEMS got control of CONGRESS in 2006…and strangely enough…THAT is exactly when our ECONOMY fell off the track 2006 and that dope who wants to do-in America for his Muslim/Marxists beliefs, has done EVERYTHING he can to
      ruin this Great Country. IF there is any American Patriot who doesn’t get out there starting NOW and working with their local groups to get PATRIOTS into the School Board, on their local City Councils and then State and then of course vote that joke out of the WH…if there are ANY PATRIOTS who don’t do THEIR part they simply cannot think of or call themselves PATRIOTS !!! It’s going to take all of us!! ROMNEY is great and he can really handle any Obama Debate, I can’t wait!!

      The problem with you statement is that Romney has not won the nomination yet, and with the lawsuit filed by Lawyers for Ron Paul, last Monday, will put another wedge in his ability to do so.

      I agree. If I remember correctly, Obama only beat McCain by 7 pecentage points. Its a big win but it was not a land slide. Now that America has seen the failure Obama has become and all the hype and excitement is gone, I cant see it even being close. Allot of people regret falling for Obama Mania and will show that regret at the voting booths.

      P8triot, I would like you to tell me how Romney is going to have a chance at even beating Obama? He is going to lose worse than McCain. I mean, where do you get your research from? Do you think Republicans can win it for him on your own?
      He cannot get the Democrat vote (important in this election), and I know, as I talk to Dems every day, I live in one of the most liberal states in the union. They all tell me they would vote for Paul, but no way are they going to pull the lever for Romney. The youth vote? No way, they also will vote for Paul, but they will just stay home with Romney on the ticket.       There is your answer to that. If you people really are serious about anyone but Obama, you better wake up fast. Time is running out. Did you read the article on from a link about the poll taken about who the majority of Americans (50% of the poll were Republicans) blame for the economic mess we are in? Most still blame Bush or say he has a big hand in it. Exactly what Obama is saying. That is OK with me, as if Obama is re-elected, it means we only wait four years instead of eight to try another Liberty Candidate. So go ahead, you did not learn your lesson with McCain, maybe you will this time.
