LOS ANGELES (AP) — A California man has been accused of trying to run down his ex-girlfriend in a car after she refused his wedding proposal.
The Los Angeles Times reported Friday that Francisco Hernandez was spotted carrying a bouquet of flowers while walking down the street after the incident.
Sheriff’s Lt. Andrew Berg says the 22-year-old was charged with assault with a deadly weapon.
The proposal took place Thursday afternoon at the Burger Stop.
After the woman said no, Hernandez allegedly drove onto the sidewalk, through bushes and into the restaurant parking lot, narrowly missing the woman. “Stacy Will You Marry Me” was on the car’s back window.
He was later picked up while fleeing on foot.

Posted on November 13, 2010 at 2:17pmLooks as if she made the right choice. If he is that angry over that, God help her if she had married him. She would most likelly have wound up dead in the future.

Posted on November 13, 2010 at 1:59pmThis is why we need religion in schools. Not only do you learn common principles that guide you throughout life. You also gain an understanding that sometimes buying your girl some nasty cheeseburger at Wendy‘s might not be the best time to get out a Cubic Zarconia and say let’s get married..It is not even a good time to ask to go out again really. I understand being broke when you are young but I cannot allow sheer stupidity to go unchecked. There is no reason to ever believe that a happy meal at burger king is going to seal the love of your life’s lifetime commitment. Aside from that marrying at 22 is not only moronic and stupid it is just plain another divorce waiting to happen especially with a moron who is proposing at 5 guys burgers and fries or in and out. Whatever. Then not only can you not understand why she won’t say yes at a gross restaurant you try to kill her? That certainly gave her the ideal that you drive with the key to her best interest at heart.
Time to grow up and take responsibility in jail. I am sure they are going to treat you as pretty as you thought you made your girl feel…Sugar plum. HA.

Posted on November 13, 2010 at 1:58pmWomen that are sexually active should not be allowed the right to refuse any marriage proposal. I don’t support abortion, but I’d also prefer not to be paying for her welfare kids.

Of course the game and the beer is more important than you and your chilli cheese fries” Duh!!!

Posted on November 13, 2010 at 12:58pmJ. Geils sang Love Stinks. Love Hurts was sung by Nazareth on it’s Hair of the Dog album most famously, but Buddy Holly was it’s orginal artist.

Posted on November 13, 2010 at 1:01pmLove Hurts was Nazareth, J. Geils Band was Love Stinks…both perfectly appropriate songs for their inevitable nuptials at the Burger Stop. I hope the father of the bride has enough class to splurge for an open salad bar.
