NEW YORK (AP) — Former CNN anchor and current radio talk show host Lou Dobbs is joining the Fox Business Network.
The network said Wednesday that Dobbs will host a new daily program that will start in the first three months of next year. He‘ll also provide analysis and commentary on business news throughout the network’s day.
Dobbs hosted a popular business-oriented program on CNN for many years that gradually changed into an opinionated general news program.
His campaign against illegal immigration made him a focus of political controversy. He tried to tone things down at CNN’s request but quit a year ago, concluding that it was no longer a good fit.
Since then, he has hosted a weekday syndicated radio show and has contemplated running for political office.

Posted on November 10, 2010 at 3:50pmPeople typically gravitate to a place where there can be discussion, not dictattion, about subjects that they are proficient at. Lou, and Fox’s overall belief in capitalism, whether FNBC or FNC, will be a good fit. Discussion often eads to NEW learning for all involved, not just the teacher.

Posted on November 10, 2010 at 3:19pmThink about this – if we’re all turning to FOX for our news, and FOX hiring these great reporters, that would mean that eventually the “sponsors” that so claim to have boycotted FOX are going to be begging to come back. Personally, I’ve found out that both Allstate and Coke were incorrectly quoted by that ridiculous boycott list – both companies verified that they said they still purchased blocks of advertising space with FOX and neither had cancelled it’s orders due to any request. They are, first and foremost, in it to make money (though that wasn’t their own words.)

Posted on November 10, 2010 at 6:57pmExcellent! Ok, next on the must-have list… we gotta get Jim Cramer back and away from CNBC.
He’s got a great show over there, and he really grew on me before then when he was a Fox contributor before CNBC stole him away.
Gotta get him back.

Posted on November 10, 2010 at 3:52pmThere ya go, Tea – I knew you would get those liberal talking points in your email sooner or later.
Media Matters weekly online talking points – Nov. 8-14, 2010:
Talking Point #1: Regardless of context or relevance, your first response should be this: “You are a racist!” Remember, calling someone racist doesn’t require any proof, and it doesn’t even really matter what color the parties involved are. Racism is the magic word for any situation!
Talking Point #2: Do not paint yourself into a corner where you have to defend any specific policies or statements attributed to progressives. This also includes statements you make on your own behalf. There are no “truth police” online, so if you are questioned directly, please see talking point #1.
Talking Point #3: Choose a screenname that incorporates a false sense of patriotism, so people don’t immediately connect you with your socialist views. If someone does find out you are a socialist, please see Talking Point #1.
Talking Point #4: Just as global warming has been scientifically proven, so has the existence of alternate planes of reality. This means that, even if a statement is untrue here in the world as we know it, chances are extremely high that it is true somewhere else, in another dimension. Feel comfortable with whatever “truth” fits your arguement. Again, if someone questions your position, refer to Talking Point #1.
Bonus Point: The term “Tea Baggers” is funny, and always will be. Plus it adds some credibility to any arguement! When you have nothing else to say on a subject, you should at the very least call someone a “Tea ******”. People will think you are cool, clever and original.

Posted on November 10, 2010 at 4:39pmLou can think outside of the box, and is not afraid to voice his dot connections without appearing as a conspiracist. He will be a welcome addition to Fox, and is probably salivating, as Beck did back in Jan 2009, to have his opinions heard without fear of firing. Another win for Rupert.
