Lowe‘s Pulls Its Ads from TLC’s ‘All-American Muslim’

National hardware retailer Lowe's has pulled its advertisements from the TLC show "All-American Muslim." (Image source: TLC)
Hardware retail giant Lowe’s has pulled its commercials from all future episodes of TLC’s reality TV show “All-American Muslim,” the chain said this week.
The conservative Florida Family Association has been leading a campaign to get retailers to pull their advertisements from the show. On Tuesday, it posted an email from a Lowe‘s representative who said Lowe’s will no longer be advertising during “All-American Muslim,” which chronicles the lives of several Muslim-American families living in Dearborn, Mich.
“While we continue to advertise on various cable networks, including TLC, there are certain programs that do not meet Lowe’s advertising guidelines, including the show you brought to our attention. Lowe’s will no longer be advertising on that program,” the Lowe’s representative said.
In a post on its official Twitter feed Friday, Lowe’s wrote in response to another tweet: “We did not pull our ads based solely on the complaints or emails of any one group. It is never our intent to alienate anyone.”
A Lowe’s spokeswoman later elaborated to the Hollywood Reporter, saying, “We understand the program raised concerns, complaints or issues from multiple sides of the viewer spectrum, which we found after doing research of news articles and blogs covering the show. We based our decision to pull the advertising on this research and after hearing the concerns we received through emails, calls, through social media and in news reports.”
A TLC spokeswoman declined to comment to the Hollywood Reporter on the issue, but said, “There is strong advertising support for the show.”
The Florida Family Association, which called the show “propaganda that riskily hides the Islamic agenda’s clear and present danger to American liberties and traditional values,” has been encouraging supporters to email retailers whose commercials have aired during the show. The group claimed it has not seen this strong a response to any other issue in its 23 years of existence. You can view a list of the retailers it’s targeting here.
Lowe’s decision to pull its ads garnered several angry responses online: One Twitter user who goes by the name @LawyerAsif wrote: “your actions did alienate people and you knew it would. Will you next consider KKKs demands to pull ads from BET?”
Twitter user @Renstr81 wrote: “Racism is alive and strong in the 21st century. Won’t be shopping here!”

Every promo I see, including the one above, looks as if these people are trying to live their life just as the rest of us do. Sure they have a few wackos in their religion but that doesn’t make them all bad. I agree they shouldn’t be trying to change our laws in favor of some religous law of theirs (they can go back to the middle east and live that way) but most of these folks seem not to want to do that. In a few generations they will be just like the rest of us. I think the key thing in our time is to hold onto the ideals of our founding. One real change that needs to be made (besides the president) is to make it a law that you must speek english when doing business with the government (what language you speek when conducting your private afairs is your business).

It’s pretty amazing the split between the two hardware stores: Lowe’s has always been more pro-american than its competition, Home Depot which has been one of the major corporate sponsors of homosexuality and the anti-family movement in America year after year. This is reflected here in our stores parking lots where Home Depots is perenially empty, and Lowe’s is always packed.

Many self-proclaimed “Christians” and “Muslims” only know what their leaders have told them without ever cracking their own “Holy Books”. Many lies on both sides are perpetuated because people will not take the time to actually READ for themselves what the teachings are. One should not trust a Priest, Pastor, Cleric, Imam, etc. to give them the whole truth but should READ for themselves. Only then can one formulate a rational faith based on reason, not strictly on emotion.

The funniest & most hypocritical thing is watching the sexy-hollywood-whore types strutting down the street proclaiming to be Muslim. They’d be the first to get raped and then murdered for being attractive enough to rape. (I in NO WAY support rape for any reason, don’t even go there.)
Follow the money to see who put up for the show in the first place. Either Islamists numbing us or Progressives training us.

The problem is that “The Cosby Show” was able to credibly show how similar families from different backgrounds are in America. This only worked because we all willingly integrated and shared our American values, and morals.
You can’t create a show featuring a theocratic immigrant community where the majority of its members are xenophobic, moochers that HATE our values and traditions and convince everyone that they are “just like you”. The whole premise is an attack on American way of life, which is not surprising from the left run media.
Happily, this show can’t offer any of the vile hyper-sexuality of a show like the Jersey Shore, and the propaganda factor is so obvious that the ratings are going to suck. I can’t see the show lasting beyond a season or two. We dumped our Dish this summer and have never looked back because of this kind of BS.

There have been posts here which want these families to be put into camps and deported (similar to a person I ran into which described his detention camp for those of Italian decent up in Michigan, I think it was). Ultimately it’s socialism, a paradigm, which is our true enemy. Not everyone claiming a faith. Guys like NOLAND here, are too lazy to shake someone’s hand and start a conversation which describes themselves as anything other than whichever paradigm he resides in. The next time you see someone who you would commonly avoid because of their faith, skin color, or ethnicity, politely and repecfully (no proslytizing allowed) ask if you can pose a few questions about their faith or something otherwise “alien” to you, and it might surprise you that they are human just like you. Wanting to provide a better life for their children without stepping on your individual rights.

That does not sound like freedom to me. If I were you I would do some research before you speak of these things. There are thousands of ex muslims who will tell the truth about their old religion. Did you know that the moon on their flag stand for the ancient moon god? Did you know that the start on their flag represents satan? Most muslims don’t even know this. We do not have the same god. Our God died for us. They must die for their god. Their values have nothing to do with the west. Our way of life is way superior to theirs. I do not hate the muslims, but I certainly hate their religion with a passion. But my God teaches me love. And so if there would be a muslim or a nothingist gay man or woman I would open my home to them to hide them from their killers, the muslims.
Oh, of course we must always say, yes, there are good muslims, who only want to live a normal life. Well then, stand up and speak up.

I looked on mine and it has a long list of businesses they are to use. And guess what? They are all muslim owned businesses. Food stores, car dealers, gas stations, shoe stores, car repair, doctors and dentist. You name it it is on the list. They do NOT want any part of an american business if they can at all help it. It shows how uneducated these businesses are who advertise during this show.

All you people who sympathize with radical Islam are free to support propoganda such as this show and shop at places other than Lowe’s. I will shop there when I need to. For example, it is the only place in town I can get rubber cement for my flat roof that stops leaks, and for about 20 bucks, you can get this stuff that eats the roots from your drainage stack pipes that unload sewage into the sewer main. I don‘t work for Lowe’s, but I shop there on occasion.
