I see more hate coming from them. They hate how we have united at the polls. They hate how we are not going to allow them to run over the constitution anymore. They hate that their blind, loyal con-
stituent voting bases are not falling for their dog and pony show any longer. They hate having to get a real job after November 2nd. They hate how the “Gig” is up. Democrats, Republicans, Turncoat Independants, it don’t matter. The‘re gone if they’re cluttering up the House and Senate. They hate everyone that has wised up to it all and are willing to boot their asses out of there! Too bad, we’re sad, but good riddance! We don‘t hate ya’ll, we just want you gone. We know the real meaning of “change” and it really is coming this time!

No. Actually, the reality is we are voting against the “established” interests. ******** like you will see how effective it is in November. Just do your best to not resort to your inherent violence when you lose badly this November. Sorry but Obozo is done. The Dumbocrats are done and we can FINALLY start to get our country back from the Marxists, Socialists and Revolutionists that have hijacked it. You should start therapy now so you can cope with the loss later hehe.

Imagine that. The Tea Party is so broad and diverse that it is difficult to put a label on it and prejudge their views. I guess that means that he would support that sort of a movement. Unless he is saying that we need to segregate and partitian the people of this country into classes. Surely, he wouldn’t be saying that.

Karl is starting to reveal a dark side of himself that has been well concealed up until now. That republican primary in Deleware really “rocked” his little world, didn’t it? He’s got another plate of “crow” to eat when she takes that Senate seat on November 2nd, as well. I’d love to be there to spoon feed the “Architect” his first bite on Fox news the next day. I hope Dana Perino and Charles Krauthammer show up for their portion, as well. I can’t figure out what these GOP cronies are all bristled up about, anyway. One would think they would get behind O’Donnell. Did they really want a nine term cronie that voted Democrat more than Republican all the time, just for the sake of him calling himself Republican. They obviously have some covert power agendas cooking on another burner. Can you smell their obvious disappointment of Castle’s defeat? Who’s side they are really on?

If a 5-year-old with a sign that said “I HATE NAPS” I swear these people would shout from the rooftops that it proves thier point.

So, I’m going to give some ammo…things that I HATE:

    The Federal Government telling me…

    1. What investments to make.
    2. What I can eat.
    3. Where I can live.
    4. That I’m a fool, a moron, or an idiot.
    5. That they know better than me on every issue.
    6. That I’m a threat because I believe in individual liberty.
    7. That they know better than me how to spend MY money.
    8. That I should hate my boss because he makes more than I do.
    9. That I’m a racist because I think our border should be better controlled.
    9. That I’m a bigot because of what personality I hgappen to listen to on TV or radio.
    10. The idea that the government is “concerned” about me on a personal level.

Let’s try that for starters, there’s alot more I could add but this is a good start.

Oh yeah, I forgot…I’m also a racist, I’m weird…I prefer the HUMAN RACE…no matter how cute polar bears may be.

      That list is silly.

      1. What investments to make.
Gold is currently under investigation & the new financial overhaul bill allows “free markets & trading” I DON’T THINK SO.
      2. What I can eat.
We’re baning salt, M Obama is trying to convince restaurants to change thier menu’s & when that doesn‘t work I gaurantee that they’ll start using government salt, some communities are banning bake sales, & schools that don’t comply with some of the new rules will be denied funding.
      3. Where I can live.
There is an executive order signed under Clinton that allows the government to take over property within a certain distance of water. The Grand Escalante staircase was put off limits, & eminent domain has been opened up to include selling it to a better money maker; and if you don’t pay taxes on a property that YOU own, the government can & will take it away (so do you really own it?)
      4. That I’m a fool, a moron, or an idiot.
Have you read any of the headlines recently…especially in regards to “Tea partiers”?
      5. That they know better than me on every issue.
See number 4, isn’t the entire premise of healthcare, financial reform, stimulus, etc. etc. etc. based on the idea that (much like an old sitcom) “Government Knows Best” despite the ample evidence to the contrary?

I’d say my list is the tip of a VERY LARGE iceburg…

Calm down now RB and take a deep breath.

      1. You can still invest in gold. If you want to ripped off by a company that marks up it’s products 300% then go for it. I say let the fools waste their money but it in no way will stop you from investing in gold.

      2. No one is banning salt. If people are halting bake sales then…sorry I say BS. Show me a link.

      3. Eminent domain? Tea Party favorite Palodino is on that one. He wants to make every single block of NYC that had dust fall on it from the collapse of the towers subject to it.

4 and 5. Again I cant answer that about you. They don’t call me that maybe because I am not.

Too much dramatics, none of these things is happening. Buy all the gold you want, fill your shopping cart up with as much salt as you like and move to any home or apartment you wish to–NO ONE IS GOING TO STOP YOU.

Meanwhile poverty levels are at all time highs and unemployment the highest since the Great Depression and what is the Tea Party candidates solutions? More tax cuts for millionaires. No different than any other Republican already in office.

Wiener & several other Dems are indeed looking to shut down,or at least heavily reestrict the precious metals market. I won’t even go into all the other restrictions on invetors & investing & I am by no means an expert…on top of which with all the new regs & apperwork it’s going to slow growth even more…& I would point out Obama’s new commision (the one that he’s afraid to send to confirmation) will restrict it even more.

My kids were (just this week) told that they couldn’t buy more than 1 slice of pizza at lunch for exactly the reason I stated…if you don‘t think it’s going to expand you’re kidding yourself.

I am against Eminent domain…did you see anything from me that says “hey this candidate is great”, again I don’t think so.

You say .”lets see, every time they cut taxes productivity goes up, unemployment goes down and the economy thrives…”

Surely you are not arguing that the Bush tax cuts did all that are you? Record surplus to record deficits. Near full employment levels before the cuts to …you know how it is now. Read what conservative minded economist are saying about these. If you want to stimulate the economy we are better off extending UI. If these tax cuts for the upper 3% are continued it will add over 3/4 of a TRILLION dollars to the deficit. It is funny, no it is shameful, that the Republicans have been harping about the deficit all summer long but when it comes to this…deficits no longer matter. Job creators? If that is so then where all the damn jobs. The fact is only 3%, yes 3%, of small business owners will be effected by restoring the tax rates of the upper 3% to Clinton levels which were pretty damn good times for the economy. The middle class will not have the tax cuts taken away from then unless of course the Republicans, which includes the Tea Party candidates, have their way.

But lower taxes stimulates the economy–let people keep more of their OWN money and they will spend it on goods and services and people will get back to work—show me one thing the trillion dollars Odumbo has spent that did anything for the economy…anything!!! the only jobs Odumbo has created or Saved as he calls it ( what a joke that is) are govt jobs and it takes at least 3-4 taxpayers to support every one of those useless drones wages and benefits.Govt employees contribute nothing to the economy because the money they make came from a TAXPAYER!! they did not create or produce anything—actually the money they pay in taxes also came from a taxpayer so that money is taxed twice when you think about it!!—-like ROJBLAKE said it isn’t REP or DEM it is BOTH and they are spending us into oblivion–show me where raising taxes has ever helped the economy–I have been a small business owner since 1973 and I have always done better when taxes were lower—-the Carter years just about killed me. show me how higher taxes helps anybody but the people that are too lazy to work and feel they are entitled to all the things the rest of us work for. Politicians are corrupt. until there are HONEST ETHICAL people in the gov. we will never have the kind of country that we are capable of becoming—name a CONSERVATIVE economist that says higher taxes helps the economy—there are no jobs because of what this idiot POTUS in charge has done..for gawd sake he couldn’t run a lemonade stand…there is NO confidence in this administration—you have to quit SPENDING and giving entitlements to every Tom Dick and Harry to ever get the budget under control. this administration says that nobody that makes over $75000 is truly happy. are they serious? is this their new definition of a rich man? so, what in your frame of mind is a RICH man? $75000, $200000, $250000—- oh, and when did the Dem’s take control of the House and Senate? seems to me like Bush couldn’t have spent all that money without these idiots giving their approval—we will have to agree to disagree–I am for personal and fiscal responsibility, balanced budgets, lower taxes and smaller Government and you are for the exact opposite.

One thing to keep in mind that some of the issues discussed are at the State and local level, where they should be (NY proposal to ban salt in restaurants [http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/30352252/], banning of trans-fats, etc.) . The problem arises when the Federal Government takes it upon themselves to expand it to a national application.

Regarding Eminent domain: The Supreme Court has ruled that Eminent Domain can be used when the effort will increase tax revenues…because more taxes collected is in the ‘public’s best interest.’ The result is that the Gov’t may take your home and sell it to a private business to build a factory.

Regarding ‘tax cuts’ currently being discussed, that is a misnomer. The ‘Bush Tax Cuts’ are currently part of the tax code, so if they expire the result is a tax increase. Increasing taxes in a weak economy is ill-advised, at best.

Also, keep in mind ‘surplus’ and ‘deficit’ apply to the net cash flow. What is of most concern is revenue. Cutting taxes stimulates the economy, frees up money for investment thus creating jobs, and revenues increase…not by taxing individuals more, but by putting more people to work (increasing the tax base).

Historically, cutting taxes does increase revenue, even when Democrats do it. When combined with reduced spending, the results are impressive (the ‘reduction in spending’ is where Politicians fall short, minimizing the effects that lower taxes should have). The problem is that even when we get some tax cuts, Government expands and offsets any gains. To see any real benefit we must cut taxes and shrink Federal Government and restore States Rights. Healthcare, Financial Reform, Cap and Trade (to mention a few) have provided economic uncertainty, especially regarding potential taxes and business operating costs, which have forced businesses and the wealthy to not invest. Until we provide some stability through rational domestic policy, including reduced taxes, the unwillingness to invest will slow or even stop an economic recovery.

I would also contend that Gov’t entitlements actually keep people in poverty and should be severely reduced and/or eliminated. State and local assistance should be available to help those in need, but only until they can get back on their feet (a hand up, not a handout). Unemployment Insurance (UI) is a little different…until we take appropriate measures to stimulate the economy (tax cuts and reduction in Gov’t), we may need to extend UI, but only until we start to see REAL recovery.

PS – Qweeqwa, thank you for pointing out my error on a previous post regarding Jesus and Dajjal; you are correct.

Thanks for the link on the “banning salt” article, but I couldn’t help noticing that the article does not mention anyone banning salt. I also don’t exactly see why it should be your business what goes on in local government in New York. Given that this is a democracy, shouldn‘t it be New Yorkers’ right to determine these things without interference from a “middle America” that does not consider them a part of the “Real America” anyway?

You may not believe in big government telling you what to do, but you sure believe in telling everyone else what to do.

First, I did say these were being discussed at the State and local level, where they should be.

Second, how can a desire to NOT tell people what to do be constued as telling them what to do.

I am a veteran, I watch Fox News, am a member of a Tea Party, I own and read the Bible, I own a gun and know how to use it and I am an member of the NRA, I believe in limited government, I believe in States Rights, I believe we should pull out of the U.N., I believe in the Constitution, Declaration of Independance and the Bill of Rights and I believe that these documents give every AMERICAN no matter what race, color or creed freedom to acheive their full potential, I believe that we should secure our borders and I agree with Governor Brewer and the Arizona Legislature,so then according to Janet Nepolitano of Homeland Security and the “ Progressive” (A truly mis-given label) Democrats I”m a terrorist! A LABEL I’M PROUD TO WEAR!

My terrorism is confined to marking my ballot in the voting booth and voting for those who espouse my values! The far left is TERRIFIED by us! They call us names and belittle our values and beliefs.
They are truly afraid of anyone who can think for themselves. They want puppets not thinkers.

Starman70 and PostprogressiveAmerican…..I agree…I agree……but I also think that State and Local governments should also butt out when it comes to our food choices and personal freedom. on the unemployment extension…I have a friend that is a small business man–he was trying to hire people here in our county–he was paying $25.00/ hr. and couldn’t get workers–he even called some people that he new had went on unemployment and they told him they had 99 weeks of unemployment coming and they weren’t going to work till it ran out….how many people are doing the same?…I don’t know, so I don’t know if extending unemployment actually helps or if it entices SOME people to lay around. BTW the people he called were people in their late 20‘s and early 30’s…..I know unemployment isn’t that much but some of these young guys have wives that work for cash doing hair and nails and they would rather sit home collect unemployment and play video games than go to work.

@Alienguns, I happen to feel that way, too…but that is for the voters of the community or state to decide. As long as it doesn’t go national, people can ‘vote with their feet’ and move to a state that better supports their views.

And by the way, I really don’t think you should count the Center for Consumber Freedom as a rsource, since it is a front for big business lobbying.

      tranquilrider,
Wrong question (at least for now), how about what have they told you not to…remember when McDonalds had to change the oil in thier fries (& they lost most of the taste)? How about when movie theatres had to change the butter in the popcorn.

How about forcing business owners (state level I acknowledge) to become “non-smoking”; in a clear violation of those business owners rights (but we’re not allowed to look at it from that point of view)?

If I don’t like a place because of the atmosphere or ambiance…that’s my choice…for me to force a “privately owned business” (what a joke thats become) is a tyranny that people approve of because they believe it empowers them…what they don’t realize is that it only empowers the various levels of government…a power that can (& probably will) eventually be turned on whatever choices, vices, lifestyle that they engage in.

When it impacts you & yours who will stand with you? Will those who you refused to support come to your aid? Will they be able to?

Once again, it is the oldest tactic there is…divide & conquer…it is the reason that both political parties are so scared, people are finding things to unite against.

Attacking an individual for their beliefs is counter-productive. When personal misconduct is the issue, then the individual’s actions are definitely the focus.

Instead of anger, I am actually inspired; I finally see people becoming aware, not as conservatives or liberals, but as Americans. I see a problem with our system that no one has mentioned, Tradition. Consider the congressman doing work for his constituents. He gets a bill ready and it gets to council. There’s money involved, so there are a few issues he must get solved. His counterpart from across the aisle really doesn’t like it all that much. He and his buddies add something to it that is sure to cause a negative reaction. and they say, “we’ll vote for that, but not without THIS”. So now our poor fellow is is forced to drop it, or capitulate and the folks back home get screwed no matter what. This is the way our representatives protect themselves and present to their own constituents proof that they are working for them. They say,”The republicans/democrats are standing in the way of the very bill that they said they wanted in the first place.”
I doubt that much will change in Washington until we get term limits into LAW. We keep sending well intentioned people to congress and watch them succumb to the elitist decay of TRADITION.

The fact is that it is that either the “Tea Party Movement” or Carl Rove and Senator Graham will go the way of the Dodo bird.

RINOS cannot survive in a nation of citizens that understand that FREEDOM RESULTS IN PROSPERITY AND THAT TYRANNY IS THE ROOT OF POVERTY AND DESPAIR. No one was trying to tell you what to think–that is far beyond my power to do. I was disagreeing because debate and disagreement is how Democracy operates. The unfortunate reality is that people both on the left and the right find it easier to hide in their ideological cocoons than to be exposed to a dissenting voice.

Can you explain what you mean by using your Christianity against you? After all, from my perspective it feels that many people are trying to use their Christianity to control ME! To impose their particular interpretation of scripture on ME! What makes you think that I am not a Christian? One who does not think the teachings of Jesus can be summed up as an endorsement of supply-side economics. One who actually thinks the call to compassion in Christianity means we should do what we can to help the poorest and most helpless among us. Is that what your head priest Mr. Beck calls “liberation theology”? He is not my religious authority. He’s an entertainer who sells [calves of] gold..

It really bothers me that you keep shouting democracy. While we may use a democratic form of election-our nation is not a democracy. It is a constitutional republic. It is our constitution that allows you to disagree openly with anybody anywhere in this great nation. It is afforded you by law in the constitution. you see the founding fathers believed your rights should not be infringed upon even if the ‘majority’ feels you don’t deserve them. these rights are individual rights. But in the current political climate, individual rights have gone out the window-using entitlements and payoffs and political correctness to create a false majority and silence the opposition in some kind of sick ‘imminent domain’. Your rights laid out by the constitution or the bill of rights don’t mean squat if the majority wants it. This is the founding fathers’ worst fear.

In fact, I make a very similar point in that I said that democracy only works if there is open debate and dissent. Try responding to what I actually say instead of posting some bizarre riff on the word democracy.

By the way, your claim that political correctness has somehow trumped the Bill of Rights is complete lunacy. Also, the term is “eminent domain.” Imminent is a different word, and it does not speak well for your understanding of the concept. The only time I’ve heard “Eminent Domain” thrown around recently is from Tea Party-ers trying to find a way to persecute muslims in NY.

The people who turned on Scott Brown turned on him because he promised promised to do things that he didn’t do that were completely within his power to do, and voters all over America of every political persuasion are good and sick of that political same old, same old. Most of us are looking for that rare gem we may never find….a politician who votes the way he or she says they will vote and who carries through on other things they promise during elections where it is in their power to do. Scott Brown ran and won by promising to stop the democratic freight train which is running away at breakneck speed, in fact he promised to be the 41st vote. He wasn’t. He lied to get elected, no surprise there.

No. The Tea Party hates Scott Brown now because he voted for what he believed was in best interests of the people of MA rather than toeing the party line. Oddly enough, this is how the founders expected Congress to work. So now there is quite a lot of rage from people (mostly outside of MA) claiming that Brown betrayed THEM.

Scott Brown is and always has been considered a fairly liberal Republican. He ran for the senate claiming that the people of MA needed an “independent thinker.” You’re just upset because they actually got one!

      Definition of TRAITOR
1: one who betrays another’s trust or is false to an obligation or duty
      2: one who commits treason

Now put the word CONGRESS in for TRAITOR!!! This is the ONLY reason there IS a TEA PARTY.

Crist is a TRAITOR for running as an Independent. Specter was a TRAITOR for jumping ship also!!

      Admiral,
I think what a lot of people are responding negatively to is the implication that if you are not in the Tea Party you don’t love America, or you don’t understand its history. The Tea Party comes off as another in the long line of Republican efforts to paint anyone who disagree with them unamerican. That, frankly, is bullcrap and insulting to a lot of people.

And if you don’t see the hate, stick around these comment boards for a while.

      79USMC83,

“Crist is a TRAITOR for running as an Independent. Specter was a TRAITOR for jumping ship also!!”
“Many of WE THE PEOPLE are sick of your PARTY POLITICS”

You’ve said a lot of crazy things, but it’s odd to me that you can be so blatantly contradictory.

Gov. Patrick has an established relationship with our President. Google Gov. Deval Patrick and Islam. There are so many disturbing news articles, your head will spin.

PENCILMAN-There is no evidence of violence from the tea party, however, there has been violence directed at any opposition, whether it’s the Gladney case, SEIU beatdowns, terrorizing a child at home, or the unions invading NYC banks and frightening the employees. Theodore Roosevelt stated it best-”To announce that there must be no critisim of the President, or that we have to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but morally treasonable to the American public” Our President is causing great harm to our Country, as Americans we have a responsibility to our Country and the next generation to defend our Constitution. Unlike the Democrats mocking and ridiculing, beating and intimidating we will take our frustrations out on the ballots, November 2nd.

Everytime the Dems make this hate and racist statement they never have any proof.Just because you say it does not make it true. You need to send out more Shills with the signs you claim are in the Tea Party events so you have some proof of your lies.

I would have thought the progressive dems would be better misinfo agennts after so long at it.

Pencilman- Your claims that the “teaparty is on the brink of violence” is deceptive when it is the Administrations backers that have displayed actual violence. Don’t let the facts get in your way.

PubliusPencilman Still looking for straws to grasp?? No one even on the left buys the bull that’s being handed out from the left.. your becoming a joke of your own party.. Congrads.. Even when I travel over to the left web-sites there are DEMS who are RUNNING away from your party.. while the RIGHT may not have it through their heads the PEOPLE not them run the show.. the left doesn’t allow you speak up at all does it.. My guess after watching the DEMS discount people who WON in CHICAGO and IL and forced them to step down in favor of their favored candidate..I have to say the DEMS have NO CREDITABILITY and NO SPINES.. they just accept whatever they are told and follow blindly.. but they will wake up it will be to late to save the party..

      Carrera,
I did not make the claim that the “Tea Party is on the brink of violence.” I do not think it is. I was suggesting that if this is the perception that you are arguing against, the common use of violent rhetoric does not help your case at all. And again, no one was talking about unions or even the democrats.

This goes for you too IndependentVoterIL. I am not here representing to Democratic Party, nor do I endorse everything they do. It is a poor tactic to think that making vague attacks on the Democratics will somehow discredit me. In fact, it’s rather childish and petty, and shows again and again that all the Tea Party represents is a renewed spirit of partisanship. If you want to argue with me, argue with me, or can you not handle just one person that disagrees with you? Does it have to be a conspiracy to make yourself feel like a freedom fighter like some five-year-old playing ninja?

PENCILMAN- You may want to scroll down about a dozen posts and view your own comment @10:09, you stated that “the teaparty is on the brink of violence” Sorry Pal, you can’t escape this one. Nice try though.

No, sorry to you pal. I know what I said.
“You’re not helping your fellow Tea Party-ers make the case that they are not hateful and on the brink of violence.”
Would you agree that the comment I was responding to was counterproductive in this respect? Again, I do not think that the Tea Party is on the brink of violence, but I recognize that this is a charge being thrown around and that many in the group are trying to respond to it.

      Nice try my friend.

      Uhh, PUBIC-PENCILMAN,

The Tea Party Folks are not anywhere near to “On the Brink of Violence” They mostly want to try and talk, vote, and pray their way back to freedom. Hasn’t ever worked before in history, but who knows maybe this time it will. That being said, there are, just a heap of people out here that have never attended a Tea Party, say very little(out loud anyway) and are way behind on their prayer meetings. BUT they are just as fed up with the Communist rot that is infecting this country, and realize that it will have to be cut out the old fashioned way. Just as our founders brought the very best hope for mankind to this country over two hundred years ago, so shall it be this time around. God’s will, done by men with rifles. So in that respect you are absolutely correct, it is just around the corner, or maybe even closer. But the spark will come.

So your problem is with me suggesting that the Tea Party is perceived as close to violence? Maybe you should take a break form misreading my posts and start dealing with your the image problem created by your compadres.

Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it is my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.

“Vi Veri Veniversum Vivus Vici”. Translated as “By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.”

Deval Patrick was born in Chicago, he went to Harvard, is a lawyer, fought for the rights of minorities? Worked for President Clinton (the first black president according to some supporters)!
Does any of this sound familiar? What can you expect, from a bosom buddy of Barry’s. They’re like to peas in a pod! Made from the same mold of Liberation Theology! If he wasn’t already the Governor of Taxachusetts, I’m sure he would have a right hand position to the annointed one. Can anyone say Chicago Politics has come to Taxachusetts!
