Mahmoud Rebuked: Iran’s Supreme Leader Reminds Ahmadinejad Who Is Really in Charge

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iran‘s supreme leader warned Saturday he will intervene in the government’s affairs anytime necessary in an apparent rebuke to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad for challenging the clerical leader’s all-encompassing authority.

Their most recent confrontation involved Ahmadinejad‘s dismissal last week of the country’s powerful intelligence minister, whom Ayatollah Ali Khamenei then quickly reinstated in a slap to the president.

Ahmadinejad, who has said in the past that Khamenei was like a father to him, has enjoyed strong support from the supreme leader, especially in the tumultuous period after his disputed re-election in 2009. At times, though, he has defied the country’s most powerful figure.

Some have accused the president and his allies of trying to amass more power and challenge Khamenei’s ultimate authority.

“I won’t allow, as long as I’m alive, an iota of deviation of this massive movement of the nation,” Khamenei said in a speech broadcast on state TV Saturday. “In principle, I have no intention to intervene in government affairs … unless I feel an expediency is being ignored as it was the case recently,” he said, referring to the dispute over the intelligence minister.

Khamenei, who was addressing hundreds of Iranian citizens in his residence in Tehran, said he was right and he would stand by his words.

“With the help of God, … I firmly stand by our right stance,” he said.

Intelligence Minister Heidar Moslehi resigned last week after apparent disputes with Ahmadinejad and the president publicly accepted his resignation but Khamenei ordered him to remain in the Cabinet.

In a sign of mounting tensions, Ahmadinejad has reportedly refused to give in to the order and has not invited Moslehi to the latest Cabinet meeting.

The dispute has also pointed to a potential weakness in the heart of Ahmadinejad’s government, as its base of support shrinks among parliament members and others.

A statement signed by 216 parliament members — more than two-thirds of the 290-seat chamber — warned Ahmadinejad Wednesday that he cannot disobey Khamenei, who has the last word in all state affairs.

Hard-liners consider Khamenei to stand above the law and answerable only to God.

What we should be watching closely is Iran‘s threatening posture towards Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states who have begun a crack down of Shi’a Moozlims, who are being agitated by Iran.

In “God’s War on Terror” by Wahlid Shoebat and Joel Richardson, they posit that the Whore/New Babylon and destruction thereof referred to in Revelation, IS Saudi Arabia.

As I’ve studied prophesy over the years, one thing was always apparent; in order for most of them to come to pass, the USA would have to withdraw support of Israel and become less influential in the ME. This would require a WEAK President, and we certainly have that now.

Don’t get to giddy over this news, Ahmadinejad is still in charge, look for him to circumvent the current religious leaders, and it might just be a crisis he can’t afford to let go to waste, and do something stupid.

This guy is not going to give up power easily. I hate to think what he might have in store for this rebuke. Keep an eye on the situation. This might be the straw that breaks the camels back.

After the Iranian Revolution in 1979, then Iranian President Abulhassan Boni-Sadr (sp?) defied the “Supreme Leader of Iran”, (one of the Ayatollahs on their supreme council) who proceeded to order the elected President arrested and summarily shot. That‘s what they did to their country’s PRESIDENT!

The current Iranian President is nothing but a puppet to the Supreme Council, and he better start reading something about the history of past Iranian Presidents who’ve defied the Council before he finds himself standing up against the wall out behind their “whitehouse” wearing a blindfold with a cigarette dangling from his lips listening to the sound of rifles being cocked.

Sorry Last post from me went to spell check and I didn’t copy the entire text. My bad.

Bible says in last days Iran will get into it with Israel. This war will bring in the other Muslim nations and Russia. We’re seeing the secular leaderships in the Muslim world falling. Muslim ran leadership is starting to take hold. Iran and Russia are strengthening their ties with each other. To the point that if Iran and Israel get into it, Russia by treaty, must help Iran. Putin already said he hates the Jews. Not sure what will happen to Ak-mood-I’m-a-nut-job, but coal-meany also believes in the 12th knot head.
As America falls into the hands of the evil one, the prophecy of good will be called evil and evil good will continue. Wars and rumors of war, food prices will sky rocket, people seeing what going on on the other side of the world live, homosexuality will increase and be accepted, money becoming digital (neither by nor sell with out the mark that will be INSIDE the right hand or INSIDE the fore head) so we become a cash less world. Bible said world will be divided into 10 sections ran by 10 kings/governors answering to the anti christ; Lord Montford (check name spelling) said that “Hopen-haugen” treaty for Gore-Bull-Warming must divided the world into 12 sections ran by 12 governors answering to the UN. Everything the bible predicted over the last 4000 years is here or soon will be.
Jesus said when that generation sees these things happen, that generation will NOT pass away till the returning of our Lord.
    His time is now.

This is just another way of controlling the people. If Ahmadinejad says he is in charge, the people will want regime change, just like Lybia, Syria, etc. If the Muslim religion is in charge, then less people will want to uprise. So, both Ahmadinejad and the supreme leader know this.

Maybe Iran is coming undone from within one peice at a time; and remember, Soros said the land of Iran would not last the year before revolution came to it in blood.

Like Belshazzar in the th Chapter of the book of Daniel, Amahdinejad ” Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting” (Daniel 5:27). Khameni’s “puppet” actual thought he was the political leader in Iran. How stupid is that ?

Amahdinejad doesn’t know it, YET, but he‘ll get the message soon that he’s history because he refused to dance when his strings were pulled. Well, so long Amahdinejad, it couldn’t happen to a nicer guy.

I hope he tries just one more time to swim upstream and against Ayatollah Khameni‘s current of complete control in Iran so he’ll just quitely DISAPPEAR. He certainly won’t be the first or the last puppet tht tried tpo get to big for his britches and swap punches with an Ayatollah. Remember the Sha of Iran, Pavlevi ?
