Man Behind Herman Cain’s Unusual Smoking Ad Speaks Out on ‘America Live’ with Megyn Kelly

Most of you have probably already seen and, have a pretty strong opinion — either good or bad — about Herman Cain’s new “smoking” ad. Now, the creator and star of that ad, Cain’s Chief of Staff Mark Block, is sharing the method to his madness.
Speaking to Fox News‘ Megyn Kelly on Tuesday, Block said “we’re on a roll“ and insisted the rather strange ad contained ”no subliminal messages” about smoking. “I would personally encourage people not to smoke, but as people on the staff said, ‘Just let Block be Block,’” he said.
Block agreed with Kelly about the ads overall message, saying it was meant to appeal to real people living real lives, whether they are from Motor City or a farm in the Midwest.
“I tell you, you walk into a veterans’ bar in Iowa and they are all smoking,” Block said. “I’m not the only one who smokes in America, for God’s sake – it’s just a choice that I’ve made, and it was at the end of the ad.”
Block then stated that the real message behind the GOP contender’s unorthodox ad is simply to tell Americans that “the Cain-train is on a roll.”
Block also took time during the segment to assure critics that, while the campaign is “organic,” it does have established operations in Iowa, Florida, New Hapshire, South Carolina and other key states.

About the only indoors place to smoke is at veteran halls and your own private homes. I find farts just as offensive. Will there be a law soon?

Cain has no experience and smart people don‘t vote for someone with no experience for the job they’re applying for. Sorry folks…any comments to the contrary are just ridiculousness! It‘s astounding how many idiots are thinking they’ll just trade one black man in the White House with no experience for another to prove they’re not racist! I’m seeing rebelliousness off the charts to the extreme right cliff, being lead by Rush and Beck everyday. I’ve listened everyday for a while, but their recommendations for GOP candidates and total trashing of others like Romney has made me jump off their bandwagon…and clearly I’m not the only one! Rush was gushing all over Romney last election and bragging that he met all the criteria for being conservative was the right choice for president…Now, with nothing different, Rush does nothing but attack! I‘ve lost all respect for Rush and Beck’s comments on the candidates, they are wrong for insulting some while promoting others endlessly, and I hope their ratings suffer along with their pocketbooks for doing so much harm to the GOP! Shame on them for their biased crap! I hope Romney wins big and Rush and Beck have to live with it for a long time! They’re so disappointing!

Report Post »Open your eyes. The biggest problem with politics is politicians. If there were no career politicians this country would be pro business, pro jobs and have no debt. Politicians may say and act like they care about you, but they are very much self serving. We need to oust all the professional politicians especially ones who say they are for us but aren’t. Although from a federal point of view (constitutionally) a state can mandate insurance like Mass, a true small government person would never even dream of such a thing. Small government applies to states and federal affairs. Romney is playing for the RINO vote. He is only solid since he was anointed by the media and there is an element of “I feel bad since you lost last time”. His immigration beliefs have fluctuated based on the day of the week, his health care beliefs have changed with the times and he is basically a career politician. Time for REAL CHANGE. A non politician as the EXECUTIVE officer (per the constitution the president is the executive.)

Posted on October 25, 2011 at 6:39pmThough Cain and Newt are nice guys, don’t be fooled, neither are true conservatives in the ‘Tea Party’ sense. I believe that: As a former Republican House Speaker, Newt is an establishment Republican globalist. He is the smartest candidate in the field by far but he would have to he is not a globalist or crony capitalist like Obama and Bush. Cain on the other hand is a fast talking Globalist who will surely hand us over to the International bankers who are really calling the shots in this country. You don’t get to be a FED Director(and President) if you are not in the globalist banker camp. And these two are the BEST of the lot. At least we will be sold into global slavery much more slowly than if King Barry continues his reign.

Newt hasn’t done very many smart things in his life, and could NEVER have kept up with Romney in school or anywhere else! The pillsbury dough boy Gingrich has a fatal problem with the zipper on his pants…it just keeps coming down! Newt gets on stage and tries to act like the wise Grandfatherly figure….yeah…cough.. cough…choke…choke! With the amount of time Gingrich has spent sleeping his way around Washington while abusing his position as Speaker, it’s surprising he got anything done at all! His little wife Callista (his mistress for 6 years while he cheated on wifey #2) thinks she’s going to be the first lady??? Newt just hopes she keeps herself really busy while he gets busy in the Oval Office like clinton! Gingrich and Clinton always used to have brag sessions about who they were running around with behind their wives backs…until Clinton got caught! Then Clinton threatened Newt with exposing his affairs to the public if he didn’t stop criticizing Clinton in public for a show in front of the cameras! Gingrich has no loyalty, no honesty, no integrity, no character, and was run out of Washington for his lack of remorse and he is one LIFETIME politician that NEVER needs to find his way back to Washington! He is the worst of Washington! Cain is just plain unqualified and making stuff up as he goes and getting himself into a lot of trouble f

I saw a person removed from Baptist Hospital in Nashville (about a mile or 2 from Vanderbilt University). He had been smoking a cigarette in what was marked pretty clearly as a smoking area outside on a Hospital patio. Even though the sign stated that, the Hospital had changed it’s smoking policy to extend to Hospital property border. So why was the guy removed by police? Because he didn’t put the cigarette out fast enough to please security who called the local police because the guy was “resisting” by taking a last puff of the cigarette. I don’t know how that story ultimately turned out, but it’s stuck in my mind for a couple of years.
