Man Busted Stealing Gas From Cops After Posting Picture of Himself Giving Middle Finger

A Kentucky man was busted for stealing gas from a patrol car after he posted a picture of the act on Facebook, which also included him giving the middle finger.
“We was just standing there and thought it would be funny to take a picture and then post it on Facebook,” 20-year-old Michael Baker told WYMT-TV.
“Yeah, we’re sorry, but it was just a joke. I mean if we was going to steal gas, we wouldn’t put it nationwide on Facebook. We don’t steal anyway, but we’re sorry,” his girlfriend, Joann Sandelin, added.
But the more they talked, the more honest they became.
“I got a little bit of gas. I ain’t gonna lie but not much. I couldn’t get much. I tried but there wasn’t much in it,” said Baker:
“If they’re going to do it to a police car, they’re going to do it to just about anybody,” local Police Chief Allen Bormes told the news station.
Baker spend a night in jail and has been charged with theft. The station plans on getting lockable gas caps now.

What if the police had to race to a scene where a serious accident took place? Imagine the laughs when someone dies cause the police car couldn’t start. Hysterical.We would all be laughing so hard it would just make everything ok.

Posted on April 19, 2012 at 1:25pmPolice rarely save people. While it is supposed to be their main function, most of the time the rescuing is done by citizen bystanders. There is even video tape evidence of one such incident where after a citizen dove from a bridge to save a drowning man, the police who were on scene and present the entire time just stood by and watched and then when the man reached shore, the police were not even ready or willing to continue life saving measures on the unconscious man. No, cops are not there to save your life. They act as witnesses in criminal prosecution. They are the judge’s eyes and ears. That is what they are now.

Posted on April 19, 2012 at 10:18amThe first thing I did to my used Georgia State Patrol car (06 CVPI) was put a locking gas cap on it. I couldn’t believe they left it unlocked but I guess they figured noone was crazy enough to steal gas from a cop (or sugar their tank).

Do we want law enforcement investigating reported crimes or just casting out a large net and see what they catch? Lazy law enforcement that will only catch idiots. The savy criminals will remain at large, and quite honestly, those are the ones that frighten me. Then you’ll basically have financial extortion by the police. It‘s not so much what they’re doing now, but what they will do by setting this precedence.
