If you believe Magomed Lavazanov, he’s currently the oldest living man in the world. He claims to be 121-years-old, meaning he’s lived through two world wars and was born in the 19th century. He and his family are currently trying to get the Guinness Book of World Records to bestow upon him the oldest-man title.
In an interview with Russia Today, he shared some of his longevity secrets:

Posted on May 30, 2011 at 11:24amTo me the man don’t look much older than Obama, however, just to make it leagal, we should demand, a birth certificate, who knows, he might decide, to run in 2012, and I don’t want to wait 3 more years to see it.

Posted on May 30, 2011 at 10:52amThey can use his family to help verify his age…….My father is still alive at 92 1/2 and my brother is 70 ………Didn’t hear a thing about having a son or daughter 90 to 95 years of age. And you know Muslims they have 6-8 children on the average back then…………………

Posted on May 30, 2011 at 10:26amI watched this story and noted in the background the surroundings in which he lives. Look at the difference in our societies. If our country is allowed to die, will ours go back to this, only with crime and violence? There are people here who are trying to destroy what we have built and we have been fooled into electing them into positions of power where they can do just that. Congratulations to this old guy. He seems very sweet.

Posted on May 30, 2011 at 9:00amI’m not trying to take away from Magomed Lavazaonv and his vast years on this earth. But our Father limited mans years of life, so there is some concern with the claim of 121 years. Genesis 6:3 “And the Lord said, my spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh; yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.” Then is this man special among men, receiving something that is only specific to him which changes our Fathers word? Romans 2:11 “For there is no respect of persons with God” With this I would have to assume that Magomed’s years have not yet reached 120 or he would no longer be with us in the flesh.

Posted on May 30, 2011 at 6:35pmI too, am suspicious of the 121 years old claim and others like it. Not just the Biblical reason, but I mean TV Novosti? Come on.. Of course some people probably think Novosti is reliable news and the Bible is a book for nuts, but I digress. Oh and, where‘s the 121 year old’s birth certificate? Hah hah.

Report Post »Even in her last few years, when visiting, I’d surely ask, ” How’s everything, gram ma”? and she would say, “50/50″. She made it without one kidney, that went in her 40′s. Back when chickens didn’t come in Styrofoam,; they ran around the yard without a head until they bled out. Then it was the kid‘s job to dip em’ and strip em’. Life’s lessons. I don’t even care if the gentleman is certified , He’s obviously old enough.

Report Post »Hard work, no alcohol, and very little processed foods have paid off for them all. Must be something to it.
I understand this guy may be the oldest man, but without proof he may not be given the recognition as he should. Still it’s great to hear about people like him and what is important in their lives.
jackbauer
Posted on May 30, 2011 at 1:46pmI‘m going to sound like John Stossel here but I don’t think it is just the “non-processed” foods. We have a longer average life span today than in the good ole days. When social security was started people on average died around the time to start getting benefits. They lived off the land back then and only a few lived to be really old.
Report Post »If you don‘t believe me go visit an old cemetery and take note how many died in their forties and fifties before the 1960’s.
