During a recent Phoenix Suns basketball game, the timeout entertainment included an acrobatic dunk show. But when this guy when to stuff the ball through the hoop, he probably wasn’t planning on going through it himself:
Here’s how it looked from closer to the hoop:
According to the Suns website, the young man is named Nick Corrales and he‘s part of the team’s Verve Sol Patrol. The mishap occurred during a timeout in the third quarter of Wednesday’s game.

Posted on January 28, 2011 at 2:34pmThat video is clearly faked. It’s not even a good fake. She’s clearly several feet in front of the rim and not anywhere near it. All they did was throw her in the air and flick the net.
Filming something where the viewer can only see it in 2D without any depth perception is an easy way to do phony stunts like this. There‘s a reason the camera is positioned exactly where it is and there’s only one camera with one angle.

Posted on January 28, 2011 at 8:58amI‘ve been saying since the 80’s that they really need to raise those baskets. Bring back players who could actually *shoot* the ball accurately and get rid of the circus clowns whose sole claim to fame is jumping a bit higher than others. Make it a skilled game again.
