After all, it’s the first step to the facist government you and your ilk crave. But don’t take my word on it, take if from one of your facist heroes, Herman Goering: “… All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country”

There is no link between the stupid Koran burning guy and the proposed Manhattan Islamic Center.
Koran burning guy was motivated by other things before you right wing whack jobs attempted to combine the issues. The right is famous for this….remember how Bush and Cheney conflated Iraq and 911.
After seeing the actions of the right recently, I think Al Qeada is winning. All you right wing whack jobs are turning into intolerant people too.
I hope they build the Islamic Center right where it is planned.

Posted on September 11, 2010 at 4:57pmThey ‘man’ that did this was not a rational, common sense person – he is as much a radical in my eyes as the idiots who burn our flag. Given the chance, perhaps he would do to a Muslim what they would do to one of us. It is wrong to burn objects that are holy/sacred to anyone. While he is well within his right to do so, which I support, I think he is a fool for choosing to exercise that particular right.

Republicans represent people that grew up and became mature and independent. Now, the problem becomes how to choose a 1 size fits all government, fair and balanced. Is this possible? Is a continued struggle the way it should be ?

Posted on September 11, 2010 at 4:47pmI do not agree with burning books, but I support his right to do so. I do not think that we should base our decisions on whether to act or not, to speak or remain silent, based on fear of reprisals…this is America. If we cower in the face of fear, the terrorists win.
Stand up America! Speak your mind (while you still can).

Posted on September 11, 2010 at 6:51pmYou could not have said it better. If we are to cower to the demands of radical Muslims over a simple book burning then they already have the upper hand. We should defend this gentleman’s rights as aus citizen. If Bill Ayers can stand on a American flag on the cover of his book than this man certainly has the right to provocatively burn a book. We should defend this man’s right to do so. This is not about facism. Let‘s be honest it’s about thimbing his nose courageously at radical muslims.

You must exlude most of us from your jabber, because it does not accomplish any positive debate to come up with a viable solution for our Countries problems.
If you want to be part of the solution then start thinking outside the box. The reason I say outside the box is because most of us have been lied to or have lied to ourselves so much about what this Country has been doing. Even you have to be big enough to admit that.

Since when is it illegal to demonstrate in the US (especially a citizen), since the Government is allowing flag burning (1st amendment), but then, someone tries to have the same right (1st amendment) to do book burning (personally, I don’t agree with that), what happened to the ILLEGAL alliens (not imigrants, because to be an imigrant, you have to be legally in the US), that demonstrate in our street, burning American Flaggs, and desecrating them. this president does not have the guts to say that whatever they are doing is wrong, he wants the US to feel for the Islam religion, however, he does not protect the right of other religion, why isnt the Greek Orthodox church not rebuild yet?? He has NOT mentioned that church, neither have his news lapdogs. The one I feel for are his kids, I mage how thy would feel when they find out that their father IS the worst president ever (even worst that Jimmy Carter). Finally, I just want to say, that through healing and asking GOD to be in your life and ask Jesus to to be your Lord and Master, it will be hard to have compassion for anyone. Thank you

My position on book burning of any kind is absolutley resolute…….you don’t ever, ever do it. Only small minded people do such things.
Now we all feel it is unfair that an aggressive religion feels compelled to burn American flags and call out death to America. But you have to take that in context. If a dog urinates on a tree, do you do it too? Of course not, because you’ve evolved beyond primitive instincts, and you wouldn’t even undress in public to do so. Because American culture has evolved into a direction of civility. Islam is certainly not a bunch of dogs, but they are stuck in their development as a culture and it shows. They are trying, at least parts of their culture. However, radicalism is blazing through their culture like a wildfire and distorts everything that they may be trying to achieve that’s positive.
You beat them with your intellect. You stay resolute in your convictions. And you don’t burn books. And if you want to hurt them, pipe in good ol’ American Rock and Roll and let their youth fall in love with Kid Rock. You convert them to our way of thinking instead of them converting us.
My solution to the mosque is that if they build it, put a Rock and Roll concert hall right next to it that plays rock bands day and night and spills over into the street………….hey, it’s a free country. Don’t play their game. Play yours.

The Muslims need no provacation to kill American, soldiers or otherwise, heck, they don’t even need provacation to kill their daughters, do they? If it’s not something in their water then it must be something they read, the Quran maybe? Could that possibly be it? And as far as our leaders great outcry to others to ‘not burn the Quran because that would give the terrorists a great recruiting tool. If everyone is so concerned about not inflaming the Muslims and giving the terrorists reasons to recruit, then let me suggest a complete and unconditional surrender in Afghanastan and Iraq. That should stop ‘em! And further let me remind those concerned about Quran burnings being great recruiting tools for terrorists, there were no Quran burnings, no GITMO, no war in Afghanastan, no war in Iraq September the 10th, 2001 and the terrorists had no trouble recuriting then, did they?

Don’t be naive. Daniel Pearl was a journalist who gave up his life seeking the truth, and should not be used to waved around on on a message board as even a hint of justification for burning the Koran.
After his death, Daniel Pearl’s family created the Daniel Pearl Foundation to “promote cross-cultural understanding.“ They host such events as the ”Daniel Pearl Dialogue for Muslim-Jewish Understanding” talks.
If you want to remember who he was and how he died, attend one of these talks. When you want to dishonor the dead on Glenn Beck’s message board, you are no better than scum.
One more thing. JMS, don’t bother to cite CBN reports when you are trying to prove a point (particularly one on Daniel Pearl). It just makes you look like a fanatic who can’t look beyond his own narrow viewpont.

Sorry, not trying to offend L.D.S., just pointing out the facts. Let’s hash it out in a nutshell. The New Testament as we know it, was translated from the textus receptus (by many men who were a lot smarter than you and me) which is based on over 5000 Greek manuscripts (which are still in existance) dating back to the Apostles. The Book of Mormon was supposedly translated in the 1820s, from some mysterious ancient golden plates, by one man, dictating the translation from a seer stone. Your claim might have a modicum of credibility if someone ever coughs up the plates. The BOM contains hundreds (maybe thousands) of verbatim plagiarisms from the KJV. The Koran (compiled and written long after Mohommed’s death) is a much older plagiarism, though not in verbatim english, as it originated in arabic. There’s alot of info out there. “Study to shew thyself approved unto God”.

I don’t presume to speak for Gov. Huckabee or Speaker Gingrich (who is a recent convert to Catholicism). I hate all religions (not the people who adhere to them) including Catholicism. Religion is how Satan gets people lost and confused. There is no salvation in religion. Salvation is through a Person; The Lord Jesus Christ”.
And by the way, “putting down [someone's] religion” is precisely what the First Amendment of our Constitution stands for, and thanks to men like USMCFLYR (whom I disagree with on spiritual matters, but greatly respect for his service) that Constitution is still in force.

Be that as it may I get where you are coming from. I still don’t think putting down Mormons or any other religion is anything less than radical.
And I have to ask – why would you cut off any path to your Lord and Savior. How can you be so sure that Satan is in charge of all the religions of the world?
Also – If I am being deceived by Satan through my religion why wouldn’t you cut me (or anyone else who attends church) off as quickly as you do religion? My path is through my church and all people of God who wish to share their religious as well as non religious paths with me. It seems to me that my path is in complete conflict with yours since in your eyes it’s directed by Satan.
Last do you ever question whether Satan may have blocked you from a more personal relationship with Jesus. Do you hold any possibility that you are wrong about religion?

Answer to your first question: I haven’t cut off any paths to Jesus. There is no “path” to Jesus. Jesus IS the Path (John 14:6). Satan’s way is to confuse this simple truth with religion: “Do this and do that, and if you do everything correctly, on time and in order, you might go to Heaven”. Religion says “do”, the Bible says “Done”.
Second question: Your premise implies that I don’t go to church. I belong to and attend a Baptist Church. Baptism isn’t my “religion”, it’s what a person does to publicly signify their faith, in the same way a wedding band publicly signifies that you’re married, but I digress. I’ve already covered “the Path”, but I’ll elaborate. You’re path (I’ll presume you mean your path to forgiveness of sins and eternal life) is, as you say, “through your church”. I recommend that you consider how that squares up with John 14:6. I’m not trying to antagonize; I sincerely care.
Last question: Of course I hold the possibility that I’m wrong. Unlike our friend USMCFLYR, who claims “knowledge”, I’m flying on faith (trying to stay above the clouds). Read the story of the man whose son had a “dumb spirit” that Jesus’ disciples could not cast out (Mark 9:14-29). Honesty demands admission that you could be wrong, but until they actually prove the Bible wrong, I’m sticking with it.

The book of Mormon does repeat a large part of the Sermon on the mount. So it’s not all fiction.

My prayer wish is that everyone chose the same book for their #1 moral source. There is no higher moral authority than the bible. And I truly believe that the Holy Spirit will prove that to anyone with a little faith and honesty. This should be debated and put to rest FOR GOODNESS SAKE!
A house divided will not stand! This is true. Matthew 12:25
And remember the enemy loves division. He is the liar from the very beginning and deceives the entire human race. It’s true. Very true. Even our best bible teachers and elect can be deceived.
Satan wants to divide us especially among church denominations. Don’t take my word for it.
Listen to the apostle Paul.
1 Corinthians 1
Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that YE ALL SPEAK THE SAME THING, and that there be NO DIVISIONS AMONG YOU; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.
Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius;Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name. THIS MEANS NON-DENOMINATION! WE ARE ALL ONE IN CHRIST. NOT A CHURCH NAME OR GROUP!!!!!!! Forgive them Father for your people do not know what they do.
Again in Philippians 2
Paul Said “1 Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, 2 fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. 3 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. 4 Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.”
Is there any words here which sound like an Apostasy?
Man made religion is probably THE BIGGEST PROBLEM with our world besides sinful lawlessness and purposeful rebellion against God.
Fear & Serve God not man!
For what if some did not believe? Will their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect? Certainly not! Indeed, LET GOD BE TRUE AND EVERY MAN A LIAR. As it is written:
“ That You may be justified in Your words,
And may overcome when You are judged.” Romans 3:3-5
PLEASE Do not trust your Church…. Instead TRUST JESUS!
There is only one who claims to be the Good Shepard.

Posted on September 12, 2010 at 7:16amThis is a very touching article about Marine L/Cpl Christopher Blake Rodgers who was laid to rest yesterday on Sept.11, 2010.
The media and the world are focused on a Pastor in Florida and now a few Americans out of 300 million citizens seeking their 15 minutes of fame for burning a book. Oh and lets not forget the media wants badly to know what FREAKING PARTY these despots belong to. Are they Tea Party or Far-Left Loons.
Read this and weep like I did because this MARINE is a true PATRIOT protecting your and mine FREEDOM OF SPEECH.

Posted on September 12, 2010 at 9:44amI don’t understand why people are claiming this fool is a member of the tea party. He didn’t even give his name nor did he state he was a member. It has been my experience that tea party members wear their membership like a badge of honor. This guy is obviously just an idiot. With that said, I’m angry that we have to be in fear of terrorists if one of our citizens does burn the book. What is happening to this country?

Posted on September 12, 2010 at 10:38amWhen I see the same outrage from the Progressive Democrats about the desecration of Christian symbol then I will give them some credit for defending religion. But it was them who proclaimed it a “Work of Art” to place a Christian Cross upside down in a jar of urine. They even defended it and had it on display in a National Art Exhibit pay for by taxpayer dollars. Progressive’s are two faced hypocrite and liars.

Posted on September 12, 2010 at 12:57pmEverything in this video points to a hired SEIU pawn. Nowhere is the Tea Party even indicated or alluded to. And on a constitutional level, the guy has every right to do what he did. Foolish though it may have been, he has just as many rights as do Muslims (or anybody else) in this country.

Posted on September 12, 2010 at 1:18pmAmerican’s (and the rest of Israel) have forgotten the first Commandment “Thou shall have no other gods before Me”. They have let everyone’s god in and have forgotten their own God. God separated Britain and the commonwealth countries, America and Judah from the rest of the world and their gods for a reason. God through His people were to show the rest of the world that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob was the only God by which His vast blessings of national greatness and rich possessions could be achieved. We have all shamefully let our Great God and Father down through the cowardly guise of TOLORANCE to other gods. Our God is a jealous God. All the sacrifices and blessings He has made and given us somehow is not enough for His spoiled rotten children.

I have known a few Baptist Ministers but have never heard the Baptist faith described quite like that.
Interesting view point about Do and Done.
So just the mere fact that someone espouses they are Christian closes the deal in your eyes.
But why then does having a religion thereby cancel that out? I get the quoting the Bible thing but there is always another quote to take straight aim at anything either of us says. I find devolving into that exercise to be almost pointless. Other than to prove we know chapter and verse where to find things. Some might even say the the whole chapter and verse thing was Satanic since it was added by an outside influence.
My thinking here is that what you call the path I call all encompassing – including the journey to and the journey with. I find works of charity to be a call from Jesus to do – and while doing them a lesson that brings me closer. Do you have anything in your belief that mimic’s or parallels that? Or is that not relevant in your belief?
I am also quite interested to know why this site would hold any interest to you since one of the things about Glenn (aside from him being Mormon) is that he is bringing together many different religions in an attempt to bring God back into the discourse of our Nations Government. Since you definitely find these religions as directed by Satan aren’t you concerned about being hooked up with us?
