Beck has spoken in the past about things I just couldn’t believe would happen, but are now happening. That gives him credibility. There is logic if you are willing to listen to the whole concept when he speaks, rather than grab the one line quote that suits the agenda of the day.

I have mentioned this more than a few times hoping people would do the research themselves and find what I found. However I get the feeling that nobody ever has because I have never heard anyone willing to discuss it… When Rev. Wright took over as the new spiritual leader at Trinity, one of his very first officials acts was to throw out all white members. Granted they were few in numbers but he didn’t care. His church had to be cleansed. Keep in mind that Wright was Pastor for 20 years at Trinity (he then retired to a life of luxury) and Barack Obama was a member of Trinity for nearly all of those 20 years. How could Obama go to a racist Church for 20 years and NOT know about it? This is why your remark of “probably true” is on target! Are the progs now going to say that their dear leader was somehow hood-winked and never knew. Horse-Poop!

Glad to help! It explains a lot, puts into concise perspective what I’ve seen over the years. It explains why it’s impossible to debate a lib on anything, especially here, and actually resolve something. I‘m sure you’ve seen, too, how often a lib will point out a spelling error rather than debate the substance of an opposing argument. (insert lib saying ‘cons do it, too’ here:_______________)
Plus all the other attempts at deflection, like by bringing up something ‘related’ in the lib’s eyes. Except you can‘t apply Nixon being a crook in 1972 to what we’re seeing today.
Or, when you make the mistake of getting ‘evidence’ that a lib demands of you, the lib calls into question your source. They have other little ways to browbeat until you just give up. Then they feel victorious.
My opinion of a liberal’s point of view: The only real sin in the Universe is not being liberal enough.

I won’t speak for other Cons, but I have certain core values that don’t change for political expediency. Leftists, though, automatically oppose anything Conservatives favor. That‘s because they start from the premise we’re mean at best and evil at worst, so we must be resisted any- and everywhere. Libs will bounce all over the map in that opposition, which explains why they can talk out both sides of their mouth at the same time and still believe they’re right on all counts, often contradicting themselves. It’s the need of the moment that counts to libs, not having a solid base on which to stand no matter which way the wind blows.
In cases like Tucson, they would never say outright it was no big deal. In such a case, they put blame on everyone but the killer himself. To say Loughner is an evil person would be tacit agreement with the Right’s assertion there truly are vile people in the world. So, there has to be some kind of other reason this guy went nuts, and they made us that reason without a shred of proof. In effect, libs are excusing this killer even if in part. I’m just afraid all that lefty posturing has poisoned the jury pool for the upcoming trial.
Another example: News outlets all over the world are reporting the world’s food supply is stretched to its limit. I read news pieces from all over the Western world, most of which are moderate to liberal. They all report food prices are rising fast, with concurrent inflation. British reports indicate fear a tighter stretch might collapse the EU–a fear never before thought of two years ago. But, Lefties here say it’s only Beck, et. al. ‘fearmongering’ despite evidence and genuine worry across the globe.
What we have seen for a week is Leftist political opportunism at its worst, and nothing more than that only because of a need to oppose Conservatism at all cost.

For decades, feminists have been on about rape and the evils of it. They even brought up date rape, which was good because it warned women to be careful of whom they date; few people ever really thought about such a crime happening during something expected to be an innocent venture.
Then, when we got chance to finally nab Roman Polanski, all the Lefties rushed to his defense. It was a long time ago, blah, blah, blah. Whoopie Goldberg, with a national forum, said it wasn’t rape-rape. “Give Roman a pass” seemed the universal consensus among Lefties, while Righties wanted this convicted child-rapist in prison where he belongs.
So, Lefies came across as being against rape before they were for it (at least in this instance). And they still would say all rapists need to be punished all the time but given a pass this time.

Believe me, people are not buying these attempts to smear conservative thinkers. I used to get angry with conservatives in Washington who wouldn’t speak up and fight back when being attacked by the Left, but I hope that has changed with the new group just elected. Glenn Beck takes a lot of criticism, but he has the guts to keep going. He is smart, uses their own words (videotape whenever possible), and I hope his audience continues to grow. Communist Control Act, A.K.A. The 1940 Smith Act. Made it a crime to “teach, advocate, or encourage the overthrow or destruction of … government by force or violence.” Nazis and leaders of the Socialist Workers (American Trotskyist) Party and the Communist Party were convicted of violating the Smith Act and subjected to fines and imprisonment.
The Voorhis Act of 1940 required subversive organizations to register with the attorney general. In 1947 President Harry Truman issued an executive order establishing a program to rid the federal government of employees found to be disloyal or security risks.
The Subversive Activities Control Act of 1950 (SACA), a part of ISA, required Communist-action and Communist-front organizations and members of Communist-action organizations to register with the attorney general. Members of Communist-action organizations were barred from employment by the federal government, working in a private defense facility, getting passports, or receiving classified information. People who had been members of a Communist Party at any time were prohibited from entering the United States. The other part of ISA authorized the detention of spies and saboteurs during any national emergency declared by the president.
The Supreme Court of the United States upheld the constitutionality of the Smith and ISA Acts in 1950, in Dennis v. United States, and in 1961, in Communist Party of the United States v. Subversive Activities Control Board.
These two pieces of Legislation are still part of U.S Code and are still legally enforcable but are not ever used by EITHER party.

The last time I checked the defining characteristic of a conservative is wanting small government, so I’m failing to make any connection to how that makes me or anyone with similar beliefs “want to be led” by a strong man. The Progressives in government are willing to be peaceful, if we just allow them to take our rights from us. In fact, I think a People that just does what tyrants say would be far more preferable to tyrants than having to go around quelling rebellions time and again.
It’s when the People assert their unalienable rights that reveals that the Progressives are willing to abandon reason in favor of violence to achieve their ends.
For example, one of the survivors of the AZ shooting got angry with a Tea Party leader for doing what he thought lead to his near death. But rather than allowing that survivor to be angry, and encouraging him to make his case for his anger – and even to make his case that the Tea Party leader deserved to die by his hands – they instead took his right to free speech from him by the force of armed officers, and tried to make an example of him by giving him a psychological evaluation. This survivor is not at all crazy – the Progressives simply want to quell dissent, and by force.
Another example would be forcing us to pay into Social Security. That “tax” as they call it is redistributional in nature – that is, we‘re being forced to pay for someone else’s retirement. That’s actually theft. If we’re not directly benefitting from the money the government takes from us, then government is stealing it. And if we don’t pay it, eventually the IRS will come collect us by force of armed agents.
Both of these examples are tyranny, and they prove that the Progressives in government are already violent.

Are we conservatives goose-steppers or anti-government rebels? The two don’t fit. The right doesn’t trust and follow authority because it exists, we trust and follow only authorities we recognize as legitimate. And we make sure to test legitimacy, which is why we’re often branded as anti-government. But people who brand us that way now have the burden of explaining why such faith in the Constitution. The truth is we’re NOT anti-government, we’re anti-NON-CONSTITUTIONAL-government. Mao and Stalin were murderous statist imperialist dictators who appealed for collectivist “solutions” to social inequalities, which is the antithesis of conservatives who seek to limit government so as to allow individuals the greatest freedom to rise beyond unequal conditions, all under the rule of law, not dictators. Hartmann’s odd rant DID make me wonder one thing, though: when did Stalin and Mao become so UNPOPULAR to the left?

I am 39 years old, and NEVER in my life have i seen a social scene so rife with polarization. I have been thinking about this for a few days and am an avid Blazer, so I’ve seen vitriol from both sides, including myself. I am such a hater for lies that just 20 seconds after i post “ignore the trolls” I post responses to the trolls. I DESPISE all this America divided crap, and would LOVE to agree to disagree, but I think there are those on the left who woun’t let that happen. I see the left has a pack of liars and propagandists, which leaves those on the right to defend (i.e. Sarah Palin) and the maelstom continues stronger and stronger. I personally believe in what Beck says about the left’s strategy to turn America from its founding vision to one of a global New World Order, but I have thought this since before Beck gave me the evidence and turned me from a conspiracy theorist to and informed thinker. Beck led me nowhere, he only confirmed what I saw with my own eyes.
To answer your question directly, I believe yes, we are gonna see riots in our inner city streets first, and if not controlled there, then it will spread. IF it does spread, then we will win the fight. Small town folk can organize on a dime for local defense, and this crap will be quelled in short order when it comes here.
Always remember your second amendment rights, and know that the Freedom and Security or our Great Country is still in the hands of those former Marines and Soldiers who still stand by their oath, “To protect the Constitution of the United Staes against ALL enemies, foriegn and domestic”

Do We the People continue to be complacent or do we to subscribe to Thomas Jefferson’s quote “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants?” I am fully aware that very few people want bloodshed in today’s environment; however, if one reads history, the US has a blatant record of violence. It amazes me to read about the Free states and the Kansas abolitionists. It was a very violent and brutal number of years. Yet, We The People, stood firm in their beliefs and changed the course of American History. Abolitionists and pro slavery advocates were at odds for many years before succession. Many abolitionists died in the name of freedom for ALL AMERICANS!

Remember when Hillary Clinton made a point that she was an old fashioned progressive? Who do you think she was trying to say she wasn’t? It was people like these who NOW DO inhabit important positions in the administration. Trust me, I know who talks like this and though the names may mean nothing to you, they represent a powerful section of our society, the academic. I came from “mainstream” higher education. I was trained to train our young ones. Believe me, that in that (very influential because they teach your kids) world the conversation began not with whether the free market was better than socialist economic policy, but with which socialist economic policy would bring down the free market faster.
In that debate, the “right” usually meant “fascist” or what we might understand as those springing from “progressive” roots. The “right‘ included any of the failed socialist systems of the past who apparently just didn’t do it right and thus have been jettisoned to the trash pile (the right) along with the free market. The new, truer left was something conservatives would find even more frightening than Mao or Stalin (yes, that is possible).
So while you would like to dismiss these “fringe” voices of the left, you must realize that with this administration we have opened the doors to these people. And with their entrance, what happens in academia is no longer just harmless “academic” discussion. These people are now in a position to take control.

Just be sure to give people the opportunity to explain themselves fully, once you tell them they’ve been baited, because they may have anticipated certain objections to their position and would have explained themselves more precisely had they known they were being baited.
I would like to see people band together against individual acts of violations of the Constitution by the government against individuals who refuse to adhere to unConstitutional laws (the Oath Keepers come to mind – oathkeepers.org). This, of course, requires us to know why we believe certain acts by the government are, in fact, unConstitutional, and to be able to articulate that.
And don’t let anyone tell you that the Supreme Court decides what is Constitutional, in the sense that they can interpret it however they want, or in a way which was otherwise intended by the Founders – and further modified by those Amendments which do not violate unalienable rights; because it is government that swears an oath to the Constitution, which means that the Constitution is authoritatively prior to the courts, and it is the courts which have an obligation to correctly interpret the Constitution – and if they don’t, then it is the courts who have violated their oath to the Constitution.

It has been my pleasure and Honor, ever since I took my oath in 1992, to serve the People of America as a Marine, whether active or completely discharged as I am now. Your father was a Marine Okinawan Vet??? How lucky you were to have him as a father! My first 1 year tour after school was in Oki, and was lucky to have a section leader (who married an Okinawan woman and planned to retire from the Corps and live there the rest of his life) Who would take us out to various points or interest on the island that concerned the Battle for Okinawa. We saw cave systems riddled with shrapnel divits in the walls where Japanese officers would order a mass suicide by grenade once the Marines made it clear to them that they had lost. We saw Shuri Castle, American cemetaries, and talked to MANY “old timers” who were there for the battle. He taught us the Marine history of that battle well, and I came away Honored and Humbled to be a Marine, standing on ground faught on by my Brothers before me to not only liberate a people, but to secure victory for their fellow Americans at the time.

Nobody likes to hear that “25% of people want authoritarianism”, everyone wants to believe that they would have opposed slavery in the day, helped to undermine the Nazi regime, support legal equality for homosexuals, fight for a woman’s right to vote, etc.
But it’s not true for most of us. Dissent is hard work. Most people just keep to themselves and let things happen. Sorry, but I don’t believe the average German circa-1940 was a bloodthirsty monster. They were caught up in a fear-mongering campaign against many scapegoats (gypsies, immigrants, jews, gays, etc) as their government was doing terrible things in the background. By the time these things came to the foreground, it was already entrenched, standard procedure.
Similarly, our government under Bush, and under Obama is running secret prisons worldwide, torturing, conducting cyber-warfare against Iran, confiscating computers and phones at the border, and using unmanned aerial drones to drop bombs on Yemen, Somalia, Pakistan, and others. This is happening without consent from congress or even public debate.
If you’re not doing something about this, then you are the 25% the video is talking about. It doesn‘t mean you’re evil, it just means you’re disengaged and apathetic. Sorry, but that’s the truth.
