‘March With Me’: Ed Schultz Vows ‘We’ll Get…300,000′ at 10/2 March

While “featured speaker” Schultz does say the march involves a “consortium of groups,” he sure makes it sound like he’s the driving force – from invitation to “March with me,“ to the ”We‘ll show you conservatives out there when Big Eddie starts crankin’ on something we don’t back down until it gets done.”
And he wants to be very clear: “If Beck had not done his rally — this would have happened.” Are we clear? The 10-2 march is in no way a response to the 8/28 rally.
He invited listeners to go wegoted.com — so I did. And that led to an interesting question: Does Ed Schultz still have a television show? While on the site I decided to read the “About Ed” section. There was a passage about Ed’s television exposure:
He’s a favorite guest of talk show pioneer Larry King on CNN. Schultz has also been seen on Hardball, The O’Reilly Factor, Lou Dobbs, The Situation Room, American Morning, Morning Joe and many other shows.
There is no mention that he, reportedly, has his own program on MSNBC. The Wikipedia entry about Ed Schultz says his MSNBC show launched on April 6, 2009. It seems highly unlikely that a major media personality could have a television program for 17-months and there be no mention of it on the person’s own website. As though it didn’t exist.

Posted on September 8, 2010 at 12:24amI would say, “Ed who?” but, sadly, I know who the blowhard is. Thanks, mostly, to this site.
All I can say is, since Sputtering Eddie will be the featured speaker, the organizers should hand out those yellow hooded slickers (a la The Gordon’s Fisherman) to everyone in the first several rows. They will be getting sprayed with equal parts spittle and vitriol.

Posted on September 8, 2010 at 12:23amHey! I would like to know how much money was generated by Glenn’s rally? Busses, resturaunts, hotels, ect…I have a weird thought,…I think Glenns rally was the real American’s self actuated stimulis program in a sense. Glenn and his backers paid for the social, but Americans helped to stimulate the economy…

At least Glenn Beck had classy, kind and non racist people at his and his group left an examble for these clowns to follow, like cleaning up their own trash and not leaving it for others to clean and there was not one arrest in the group of 300,000 or better. HaHa Glenn left them a hard act to follow.

You said YOU could draw 300,000 before the 10/2/10 rally was scheduled. I saw the original announcement & your name was not listed. Here is my question for you … … People will spend their own $$$ to come to DC to hear you?? You obviously did not see the Restoring Honor rally because there were no angry white racists there! The people I saw were all kind & friendly, meeting strangers from other states. Also nobody I know was paid to go to 8/28 rally. Can you guarantee that whoever comes will not be paid by the Unions? As I’ve said before: I’m watching!

Posted on September 8, 2010 at 12:03amWhat an idiot! Clearly this march is happening because of the Glenn Beck rally. Only Glenn Beck did not have to get 8-10 other organizations to get 300,000 people there, he did it on his own. These people are envious and sooo pitiful.

Looks like the tab for MSNBC, SEIU,ACORN, the Black Panthers, ect will be preaty expensive to bus the othe 240,000 in.I’m wondering if they will also be charged for the trash pick up, graffitti removal and etching on the monuments and such. I think you will have a logistic problem because some of these groups still have racial issues so you will have to segragate them from each other, and how will you decide which group goes where? Also will these individual groups have their own megaphone spuing their retoric to each other never hearing the message of the speakers?

Since then he has become somewhat of an Amerikan superstar with his highly rated T.V. broadcast on MSNBC. Schultz has I don’t even know how many number one best selling books and has single-handedly organized a rally to be held on the DC Mall that he is calling “10/2″. There will likely be several million people from all over the world showing up to hear Schultz deliver what will no doubt be one of the most profoundly inspirational and patriotic speeches to grace human ears since the Sermon on the Mount. I’m told that speech will contain no political rhetoric or partisan hype. No, it will be purely a call for the American people to unite in love and harmony. Isn’t he dreamy?

However – don’t dismiss this rally out of hand. It;s not just schultzie … it’s SEIU, the AFL-CIO, and the fine folks at the Tides Foundation, along with the likes of Code Pink, that are throwing this thing together. They could EASILY pay for several hundred – or even thousand – busses to bring people in. Keep a close eye on this thing – it could tell us a LOT about the left and what their agenda is.

They won’t only have to bus these fools, they’ll have to feed them and pay them. Union people expect to get every benefit they can squeeze out of those who are stupid enough to hire them.”
I have to say I agree with you that SOME union members are lock step in line with union leadership and agree with the leadership stance….some members are hard core and follow their contract to the letter (thus the jokes about union workers) ~BUT~ you need to remember many, and I’d dare say most union workers I know, are hard working men and women that are hurting just as bad as everyone else in this economy. The members don’t “squeeze” benefits from anyone…they work for them and they are part of the yearly negotiated contracts (this is done by the officals not the members). These contracts are no different than any corporation contract for workers – wages, insurance, & retirement. As far as being ” stupid enough to hire them.”….my husband (and those who want to be better) attend classes (by his choice) offered by the union hall to advance his knowledge, keep up to date on improvements, and increase his working abilities (open new windows of opportunity)….they take state tests and union tests to make sure they are the best at their trade. My husband is a union member and a top knotch worker with or without the union label – he is a conservative & holds his faith in his heart. His hard work allowed me to travel over 19hrs one way to attend the Honor Rally. I’m not trying to chastise you…just letting you know to lump membership with policy is not the way to go. you might want to check out unionblacksheep.org

We should not equate all union members with their leadership; I think many union members are being taken by the greedy union bosses who won’t let them vote on reasonable contracts. Ultimately, it’s those fatcat contracts that end up putting union members out of work. And God forbid they call a strike, you can’t work even if you want to because the union goons will make physical threats.
This guy and his 10/2 rally will be nothing but a bunch of out of work SEIU members who are being paid to attend, along with maybe some New Black Panthers and Al Sharpton followers. Let’s wait and see the hate signs and racist remarks. None of that at Restoring Honor, for sure.

The people who went there came of their own free will without having to bribe them or force them. Having lived in Cuba for many years (I’m Cuban) I have seen how this leftists and communists work. They will force union members, church people, black organisations, etc, etc, and they will bring them to the event making it look as “spontaneous”. That’s how Fidel Castro still manages to crowd places and “Combatant Marches” in Cuba. It all looks very homogeneous but inside the participants are just bored and thinking they‘d rather be at home and not wasting their time showing support for something they don’t agree with.

Posted on September 9, 2010 at 11:44amheidi586… Good for you and your husband. Its nice to hear about good union members for a change. Your husband taking classes and tests to improve is fantastic. Most unions have the slacker at the same rate as the hard worker. Most unions will go on strike (Snapple) and demand that if the company makes a profit, the member deserve a piece of the action, while refusing to take cuts or smaller increases if the company looses money (UAW). If a union goes on strike and you cross the picket line, you take your life in your hands, and might be shot (United Mine Workers, UAW, Teamsters). Some unions are completely socialist and push violating standing laws and an anti-American, socialist agenda (AFL-CIO, SEIU). The unions have a well deserved reputation and should be disbanded, then prosecuted under RICO laws. Some of the membership are good guys, some are not. The unions are a large part of the destruction of the United States and the need and usefulness for unions is long gone and a determent to the continued improvement, and prosperity of the United States. Posted on September 9, 2010 at 6:34pmHA,Ha,Ha,Ha,HA,HA- oh that felt so good to laugh at that circus clown!!!!! Enough said!!!! Ed Schultz your right about 1 thing and only one thing America isn’t stupid and we dont want to go back!!! That’s why we are all moving forward to November to heal the wounds you progressives have created, and put an end to your evil little movement. We are bringing America back from the brink of destruction the liberals and progressives have thrust upon her. Bringing back the conservative values that the founders bestowed upon us, your right Ed we aren’t going back!!! Except your wrong about what it is we are not going back to!! We are not going back to the mistakes we made in 06′, and 08′ by voting in to office progressive American hating liberals, who want to destroy the very fibers, and values that has made America great, The ones who have put us on the road to Serfdom. We definitely will not be going back to the mistake’s we made and have dealt with the last 20 months. We are taking our country back from the mobsters who you support and helped thrust into office. America is on to you and your liberal goons, good luck Fat Eddie, I bet you dont even get 30,000 people to attend your out of touch ramblings or march or whatever you call it.

Posted on September 10, 2010 at 10:01amUm…so? I hope that they have a wonderful rally! I hope that the people in attendance are just as polite and respectful of our nation‘s capital as the attendees of Beck’s rally. I hope that the sense of fellowship amongst the citizens is just as strong as Beck’s rally. How can that be anything but a good situation for all of us?
However, if the upcoming rally is filled with hate and discussions of discontent, then it will be a sad experience for all who attend. That is something to be pitied. The choice is theirs…I hope that they take the higher path.

Posted on September 10, 2010 at 2:07pm@SUPERFIDE – Watch your back at the 10/2 “lovefest”. If some union goons get the idea that you are not there to praise Obama, Schultz, Sharpton, etc. you may end up swimming in the reflecting pool.

Posted on September 12, 2010 at 10:12pmThe draw will be people getting together to show that “we the people” are the Constitution. This includes republicans, independents and liberals. We the people are not red and blue, we’re this nation. This march is for the people, not glenn beck, not rush limbaugh, not the corporations, but for we the people. Everyone is invited and it’s not a competition. It’s to show the elected officials of both parties, that we the people are not happy. That we the people need jobs, justice and education. It’s a time to rally around we the people.
