Some people go to great lengths to concoct elaborate ways of proposing marriage to their significant others — mostly in the hopes of having a great story to tell the grand-kids years down the road. Others, however, get the same wow-factor despite being completely oblivious. Such is the case of one man who inadvertently proposed to his girlfriend on live news. The young suitor popped the question outside a KCI airport terminal while a KMBC Kansas City news reporter was recording a segment on healthy eating.

Posted on August 7, 2011 at 6:39pmCongrats, now get out of this country while you’re young. Go to France, free and dependable healthcare (free nanny in your home on your first born), taxeds higher yes, but every one is healthy. makes for a better society over all. Oh and lots of private business there too !

My bet is from their eyes the proposal was VERY ROMANTIC.
A very sweet moment to catch LIVE —- no acting no criticism here

Posted on August 6, 2011 at 10:13pmGOOD FOR THEM. CHEERS AND BEST WISHES!!!!! I suppose 10 years from now they’ll laugh about the sidewalk proposal. Just couldn’t wait for that big made-for-TV set up. Oh well. This is real and that’s better.

Posted on August 6, 2011 at 7:01pmNice way to greet your girlfriend, but kind of an unromantic setting.

Posted on August 6, 2011 at 8:46pmThis shows just how blind love is. I bet these kids didn’t see anything or anyone other than each other. Even the people in the car recording the proposal with a camera phone were focused only on the couple!

Posted on August 6, 2011 at 6:19pmNew beginnings, be they the beginning of a life shared or of a new life began, make me want to go “awwwww, how cute!”
I did really like it when he got down on one knee, it was so touching to see that “old school” romance, much better than just handing her a ring. The only piece of advice I would give – cherish each day with the one you love.

Posted on August 6, 2011 at 4:24pmVery cute…not very romantic though.
I noticed the reporter immediatly had no use for them when she thought the camera was off, then needed them again, then did not.
