Remember…the banks that got the TARP money were the ones who are Sharia Law Compliant. That meaning that they give 2.5% of all investments to Muslim organizations and if they break any Sharia Laws. then they get fined 7%

Funny how Obama and the democrats not only bailed them out, but through the Financial Reform Bill, made the American taxpayer responsible for future bailouts, and made the SEC unaccountable to the Freedom of Information Act. Now why would Obama and the democrats do that? Why didn’t the American people get to see the bill on line for 72 hours like Obama said we would? Remember all that bull about transparency?

I wasn’t just TARP. It didn’t end three years ago.

Bailouts, stimulus, and Fed monetization of the debt are all welfare for Wall St. The Fed was doing more of it this week! These are what Wall St sees as its eternal entitlement. They hold all of society hostage by saying to the politicians, “Give us more or the entire financial system will tank,” and the idiot politicos believe them and pay the ransom at public expense.

This from John Hussman, Phd., a conservative mutual fund manager, who runs a series of mutual funds and has been warning of Wall St’s endless greed for years. He said this week:
“…over the past 15 years or so, the basic function of the financial markets has been corrupted into what I’ve grown to view as a self-serving carnival of speculation, where many participants are interested in nothing except getting the next rally going at public expense, regardless of how badly market signals are distorted, how recklessly capital is misallocated, or even whether what they do has any positive effect on the economy or the country (some of the sleazier ones even have their own shows on basic cable).”

Republicans and Dems pretty much all supported the bank bailouts, they actually started under Bush remember. Paul Ryan was the one begging everyone to vote for it. Bush also made sure to put Hank Paulson of Goldman and Sachs in the treasury so they could loot it. Then Obama came in and did the same things, even more so. 99% of both parties are corrupt and in on this.

@ECMARC Yes the bailout did start with Bush. There were many of us not happy at all about that. They made everyone believe that the banks would fail and everyone would lose. I thought they should fail. Bushes were NWO men. The only thing that I really appreciated about Bush.. is that he didn‘t try to anull the 2nd amendment and he didn’t raise our taxes. I didn’t appreciate his stance on illegal, nor his getting on MSM to announce that he was “thinking” about going to war to see if there were any hidden bombs. How stupid was that? I also didn’t like his kiss B–ttt Muslim stance nor did I like the fact that he claimed to be a Christian and thought that the Bible was just a pack of lies). VOTEBUSH12 is a Muslim if that tells you anything. We are conservatives. We don’t get our pick of who runs. We usually just pick the least evil of the candidates. So please don’t preach to us about what Bush did. I believe Obama is a Muslim/Communist in that order. I believe he is in office to establish that world wide caliphate. In case you missed it. THe Communist/ Muslim Al Franken with the help of Hilary and Bill conned his way into the Senate of Minnesota. His job was to go to Muslimland and invite 300-350 muslims to jobs in our government. Look at Obama appointed Pro-Sharia Law Supreme Court Judge who just happened to oversee 8 of Obamas legitamacy hearings. Look at Obama’s and Holders association with Hezbolah Drug Cartel in Mexico. We are in peril.

LOL you are the one who is blind lady, looks like you only learn from public school, while I mostly learn on my own and have extensively studied the history of communism. Communism always comes from these Banks on Wall Street! The Soviet Revolution was funded by Wall Street.

These banks are exposing themselves as the true communists all along by demonstrating the amount of control they have over our government and both parties and the FED. They use that power to steal taxpayer money in the form of bailouts. I don’t know what planet you live on, but when businesses that should fail steal trillions of my tax money, thats communist to me.

The left wingers that are out protesting only represent a portion of the protestors, and many of their groups are funded by these communist banks. It makes perfect sense, these banks want to discredit any movement against them, so they bring their front groups like MoveON to try to taint the movement as left wing only to divide and conquer. This will fai, this is a mass movement of all views, we are all getting robbed by these banks.

The People United need to stop having their money manipulated and inflated by the FED
The People United need having to compete with illegal labor whose main supporters are Wall Street
The People United need to stop having to their tax dollars stolen in the form of a “defense budget that is higher then the next 20 countries combined, and from banker bailouts.
The People United need to be able to compete fairly in a free market and not with big business that get sweetheart deals from the FED like low interest loans and QE, and that lobby the government to put in regulations that shut down competition.

In case you have been living under a rock, the system we have in this country is not free market capitalism, it is crony capitalism for the elite and banks, profits are privatized, losses are socialized.

It was government that forced banks to take the bailout money. Some needed it. Many didn’t need or want it. I suppose that part of the reason was to hide the names of the banks who needed it from the public to avoid runs and panic, but if you’re going to paint banks with a broad bail out brush and declare us vs them, that’s highly innacurate.

ECMARC – “There many common ground demands of the protests, they aren’t all left wing.”

I have heard some of the interviews, and thats seems true. But for the most part, they are very uneducated in regards to our constitution, our government, and the Glass-Steagal act of 1933 (which was only partly repealed by the Gramm-Leach-Bailey act of 1999) . Most are blindly seeking an excuse to make some noise & “fight the man” which is perfect fodder for statist recruitment tactics.

“Breakup the megabanks, then end the system of political bribery that allows them to control both parties (campaign finance, revolving door, lobbying). Then prosecute fraud by these banksters and reinstate Glass-Steagal.”

Although I am far from an economist myself (and would normally go against such regulatory action on the free market), I would agree that the Glass-Steagal should be reinstated, especially now knowing what caused this economic calamity. That is, if prosecuting each individual that was involved in wrong doing is not possible.

The fact that Glenn and Fox will continue to push it to the left, delegitimizing it with cherry-picked video and lingo, and the left is trying to adopt it (i.e. Pelosi, Van Jones) shows who the real petulant players are here. The politicians don’t want to see an end to their bottomless campaign coffers. The mainstream media knows who puts them on the air and is treading lightly, FNC the lightest. JOE1234…maybe you should read this….
Another quote from Jones regarding not only his loathing for capitalism, but his outline for the step-by-step gradual replacement of capitalism with the Marxism he loves so much:

“Right after Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat if the civil rights leaders had jumped out and said, ‘OK now we want reparations for slavery, we want redistribution of all the wealth, and we want to legalize mixed marriages.’ If we’d come out with a maximum program the very next day, they’d been laughed at. Instead they came out with a very minimum. ‘We just want to integrate these buses.’

“But, inside that minimum demand was a very radical kernel that eventually meant that from 1964 to 1968 complete revolution was on the table for this country. And, I think that this green movement has to pursue those same steps and stages. Right now we say we want to move from suicidal gray capitalism to something eco-capitalism where at least we’re not fast-tracking the destruction of the whole planet. Will that be enough? No, it won’t be enough. We want to go beyond the systems of exploitation and oppression altogether. But, that’s a process and I think that’s what’s great about the movement that is beginning to emerge is that the crisis is so severe in terms of joblessness, violence and now ecological threats that people are willing to be both pragmatic and visionary. So the green economy will start off as a small subset…V Jones

The banks need to be stopped because they are still doing the same scams and will keep needing bailouts until they drag us all down with them. What I mean by stopping the bailouts is by don’t give them money with no strings attached like last time. If they need a bailout, it has to come with severe penalties, the bank gets broken up, execs prosecuted and jailed, restrictions placed on bonuses, and no lobbying or donating to politicians by bailed out banks.

Learn history by reading instead of listening to the media nutts. In total, the treasury gave the banks $247 billion dollars. Out of the total repayment, more than half has come back from the healthy banks. Banks have also paid about $11 billion in interest and dividends. Taxpayers have received decent returns on many of their financial-sector investments. Repayments under TARP have generated a 17% annualized return from stock-warrant repurchases and $12 billion in dividend payments from dozens of banks. Big banks like Wells Fargo, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, and Bank of America have paid it back plus interest. AIG and Citigroup are the odd ones out and they are closing in on paying their portions back in near future.

So before you run your mouth, learn something!

The People United need to stop having their jobs exported to China if you want them to work.

The Free Market is the economy of the United States.

But you made a valid point. People deserve a right to compete in a Free Market. Unfortunately for people like you, entitlements and government handouts aren’t the answer. These Occupy [insert city] Protesters are going to get just what they want, total economic and social collapse. They have absolutely no idea what they are truly going to do, but when they get it, it will be too late. They think capitalism is so evil?! Capitalism = free choice. They haven’t seen evil yet. Socialism leads to Marxism, Marxism leads to Communism, Communism leads to Totalitarianism (Evil Dictators). When the U.S. and Europe have no money left, and the rest of the world has no jobs that come from what’s left of capitalism, we’ll see real evil. I say let them do it, let them bring down the economy, bring down society. We‘ve already seen the most expensive lesson in how Marxist Economics don’t work, and have never worked. Now let’s learn the most dangerous lesson ever, in what a breakdown in society really means! Most people who identify with Conservative ideologies know how to hunt, fish, grow food, own guns, basically can take care of themselves. The protesters are going to commit suicide when they can’t text anymore on those bricks that used to be smartphones.

In my opinion, Ecmarc is an example of why these protests are “growing.” The protest means different things to different people. Like Obama’s first run at the presidency, he talked about change to people who wanted every kind of change. Sometimes conflicting ideas of change. But everyone saw him as they wanted to. Likewise, these protests are labeled in a hundred different ways and supported for a hundred different reasons.

Thus the charge by Beck of “useful idiots.” Not that Ecmarc is an idiot, but he is certainly useful to other Occupy organizers who may indeed have a different agenda. After all, Ecmarc has already put the blame on the Democrats as well as Republicans (and I agree), but Occupy is solidly behind Obama and much of the Democratic agenda. There is no common ground with Tea Partiers for instance who wanted the banks to FAIL.

Let’s be fair. Ron Paul‘s movement wouldn’t keep power with Wall Street. But Ron Paul is a Republican. The big movers supporting Occupy wouldn’t support Ron Paul if their life depended on it. The claims that protesters are against both Republican and Democrats, are disingenuous, or just ignorant. And don‘t think for a second people aren’t paid to comment. They were during the election.

The thing to consider is as that as crazy as everyone claims Glenn Beck is…

He was right 2 years ago, and has been right a lot on this. So he’s gaining credibility.

Tell me how great Germany and France are getting along with their socialistic government. Aren’t they having the same problems we are and in fact even worse off?
Even better is how we‘re told by socialists that the problem with capitalism is it’s corrupt. Like socialism and communism are so clean and void of fraud. What he‘s trying to get you to do is ignore the fact that the trouble isn’t the banks, or the unions, or General Motors, or General Electric, or the Fed, or Big Oil or…. It‘s not the destination of the funds that’s the problem; it’s the source. This all can be discerned using Acton’s Razor (Power Corrupts). Why did this happen? Because an entire generation of politicians have become utterly venal and corrupt, and will send people into the street (and into the blogs) to spread misdirection, half-truth, and utter lies so the people will focus on the useful idiots, and ignore the fact that none of the aforementioned (admittedly, also corrupt) institutions would have any power whatsoever to spend our money if the pinheads in Washington didn’t give it to them first.

ECMARC: If you will recall that in 2008, McCain and Palin had surged in the polls and it did not look good for Obama. Suddenly, the economy collapsed. Wow, that was good timing. Obama had been running against Bush and not McCain and when the economy crashed, Washington went into panic mode. We were against the bail outs. The Tea Party was against the bail outs and the so called stimulus bills, We are against monetizing the debt. We are against “cash for clunkers” and all of the other gimmicks that do nothing for the economy but put us further into debt. Obama took over the Census and spent 14 billion dollars. 10 years earlier the census cost 4 billion dollars and 10 years prior to that, it cost only 700 million. EMARC, you need to educate yourself and step back to see the whole picture. This is how Glenn Beck manages to “see into the future”. He takes the time to look at the connections between everyone and everything that is going on. He connects the dots. he follows the money and he puts it all together to demonstrate how this culture of corruption works. It’s simply genius.

The answer is simple and not at all revolutionary. Lots and Lots of words, ECMARC. Just a sign of somebody who doesn’t understand the true REVOLUTIONARY nature of the Constitution. Any other “revolution ” pales in comparison. Any other “revolution” requires an oligarchy to “even things out ” for the “masses”– just a sort of monarchy in disguise — comforting for people who are afraid to be free and responsible.

      ESMARC,
The Tea Party and American majority didn’t want the bank bail out but our Congress did it anyway. Sorry, the Tea Party got started after the bail out is one of the main reasons for it. Furthermore, the bank paid the money back with interest so the taxpayer benefited. What about all of the other spending to Unions, GM, Solyndra/Other solar buddies, and shovel ready projects. Did the taxpayer get anything back from that. The only thing we got was a huge defecit.

To be fair the the banks paid back that money with interest, lets not confuse this with the stimulus money given by Obama. Im definitely not a fan of Banks. They used to pay us in exchange for using our money, but because of the system we are forced to use them to access money. They know this and now charge us, its now reversed. Lets not let Dems off the hook either, their just as involved with banks as repubs.

And then of course there’s Rule 12, which simplifies everything for the stupid: “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” In your case, it‘s the bank’s fault. There is one very HUGE hole in your argument against the big banks friend… outside of Citigroup the vast majority of the TARP funds given to the big banks (Goldman Sachs, Morgan, Wells Fargo, BONY) have been repaid plus interest. As of March of 2011, according to the US Department of Treasury ( http://www.treasury.gov/connect/blog/Pages/TARP-by-the-numbers.aspx ) nearly 70% of all the allocated TARP funds have been recouped by the taxpayers.

Yes that means roughly 30% has not been recovered yet but no one has said, so far, that we (the taxpayers) are not going to get that remaining 30% back.

The10thAmendment, you’re getting mixed up. Marxism is not fascism. The right thinks all those economic systems are the same: Marxism, socialism, communism, fascism etc. To the right all those words are simply insults with no meaning except that they are something bad and have to do with “redistribution.” Whatever.

Islam is a religion and the don’t have a declared or even formulated economic system.

But if you want to say Muslims are Marxists, socialists, communists, fascists, go right on ahead. To someone who doesn‘t have a clue what those words mean it doesn’t make a difference. But if somebody does know what those mean, and knows something about religion, then those people will thing you sound uniformed and shrill.

Anyone who is pushing this Leftist movement or supports it is going to say and do what ever they can to keep it going. Including attacking those who expose their agenda like Beck, Geraldo wants Marxism and dislikes Beck so he will if pushed or sees the need attack those who get in the way. When someone turns someone else in for a crime or tells on them it doesn’t matter what the nature of that deed is if it is true they will always say that person is crazy or paranoid or full of poop.

Fiat money and keyensian economics are liberal policies, austrian economics and sound money are conservative. Fiat money is manipulated to create our economic cycles, pay for wars, and fund our oversized unconstitutional govt. Complaining about marxists while not exposing the means by which they control us is disingenuous at best. We already live in a fascist environment it is just that either noone understands the problem or they are afraid to tell the complete truth. Glenn knows history so he must know that fiat currencies always collapse, that is why i cannot understand how he does not see that our monetary system is the root of all our problems today. Beck had several shows dealing with Keynesian economics. Sorry you missed them. Every time he deals with topics of socialism he’s addressing those economic principles.

Keynesian economics = the economy of capitalism with-in the confines of the socialist state

Free Market economics = the economy of private ownership and self regulation with-in the confines of the Capitalist CIVILIZATION.

The two are diametrically opposed concepts of economy. When Western Europe exploded with vitality following WWII it was a mixed economy bound under the Marshall Plan. While Stalin was wrong about the timing of the ECONOMY of Capitalism’s collapse, he was right that it would collapse. It was propped through the mix of Free Market and socialism (aka Keynesian economics), and lasted about 25-30 years longer than Stalin predicted.

FDR began that same philosophy but Free Market controlled the vast machinery of the American Capitalist Civilization for the greatest part. FDR however set the table for entitlements and the gradual collapse. Obama is a massive proponent of Keynesian economics, why? Because he’s a devout Marxist. Once the system is collapsed the useful idiots that paved the way will be eaten in the same way that Stalin ate the same proponents of Capitalism as an economy.

This is by the textbook Marxism at work toward an impossible ideology of a Utopian Communist State.

He says that George Soros is the man completely behind the NWO conspiracy and rarely mentions other key players that are more powerful then Soros. Beck only mentioned David Rockefeller once on his TV schow, and I don’t think he ever mentioned the Rothschilds. He doesn’t expose the CFR, BIlderberg, Trilateral, he only talked about the Federal Reserve once, he doesn’t talk about how the War on Terror advances the NWO agenda by installing globalist friendly governments in the countries we occupy.

I don’t think its reasonable to believe that we can move back to the gold standard. This system can work if its directed by market forces. Mises sounds good in theory, but we are in reality. The real culprit of our problems lies in the government picking winners and losers. Its the government trying to direct the economy through either taxation, or subsidies. A flat tax, FAIR tax, would help eliminate that crony capitalism that is going on.

franciscandonia- Can you name one fiat currency in the history of the world that did not collapse? Fiat currencies always collapse, eventually they are all worth less than the paper they are printed on, and when they collapse a lot of people suffer and despots usually seize power. There is a reason gold has been money for thousands of years. The people responsible for our monetary policy understand this and have big plans for a post dollar world. That is also the reason we were never taught how whoever controls the money is absolute master of all industry. Gerald Ford said that if the people understood monetary policy there would be riots in the streets tomorrow. The system will not work as is history has already shown us that, the only question is will enough people realize that before it is too late?

Say what you will but O’Reily has brought allot of independents and dems to Fox and away from the mainstream media. Until we get Obama out of office and the progressives off of Fox’s back we have to be careful otherwise we will loose the only media that gives our side on regular TV which is what most Americans view. Glenn Beck is not necessarily wrong in his assessment but if we really want to know what is going on, we need to understand what Daniel chapter 2:1-44 is telling us.

    Here, I highlight Daniel 2:41;
41 “And whereas you beheld the feet and the toes to be partly of molded clay of a potter and partly of iron, the kingdom itself will prove to be divided, but somewhat of the hardness of iron will prove to be in it, forasmuch as you beheld the iron mixed with moist clay. 42 And as for the toes of the feet being partly of iron and partly of molded clay, the kingdom will partly prove to be strong and will partly prove to be fragile. 43 Whereas you beheld iron mixed with moist clay, they will come to be mixed with the offspring of mankind; but they will not prove to be sticking together, this one to that one, just as iron is not mixing with molded clay.

44 “And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite; 45 forasmuch as you beheld that out of the mountain a stone was cut not by hands, and [that] it crushed the iron, the copper, the molded clay, the silver and the gold. The grand God himself has made known to the king what is to occur after this. And the dream is reliable, and the interpretation of it is trustworthy.”

    Do we understand?

Paul‘s campaign released a statement last night denouncing the episode as ’incredibly unfortunate,‘ claiming that ’violence of any kind has no place in our civil discourse’ and adding: ‘We are relieved to hear that the woman in question was not injured.’”

Called a Professional Provacator by GreenPeace and given kudos by a writer for them, although not the point of the article, the writer shares: “‘. . . Lauren Valle is a “professional agitator.’ The evidence for this is that Lauren has an arrest record and has participated in protests in Louisiana, New York, and Beijing, China.“ Google her name and see how many ”protests” she is show doing the rediculous if not downright vandalization!

Lauren Valle was a PAID AGITATOR from MoveOn.org (Soros money!). Maybe she didn’t deserve to be “physically controlled,” but she was very, very pushy even after being warned!

It’s not that we “support this site” as you say. It is that we support what the Tea Party or other people and groups stand for, rather than the lib/progressive stand!

The Tea Party never got so much attention! But there WAS violence perpretrated by Tea Party members at MANY town halls, towards the handicapped and even to the point that one of the right wing Senate hopefuls guards threw a woman onto the ground and put his boot on her neck during the campaign. Was that OK??? Where was your outrage then?

      @ veryseniorcitizen

All violence is wrong. That being said, the action of ONE OR TWO individuals who have been in Tea Party Groups, or the guard who “put his foot” on the woman are either individuals making wrong decisons or a guard who was reacting to a woman KNOWN TO BE A FAIRLY EXTREME TROUBLE MAKER(!).

As a group and in purpose, Tea Party “groups” are not violent, do not condone or support violence, and do not think violence solves anything! Individuals yelling at Town Hall meetings were not necessarily TP members. The Tea Party is not a closely structured group, but supports those with like purposes–reduce taxes, reduce the deficit, reduce the size of government, and let the people, as individual, community and/or church groups help those TRULY needing help.

I am NOT A MEMBER of any Tea Party group. I support what the TP stands for and I lived through the 60‘s and 70’s (actually, I’m a lot older than that!), in a large eastern city, and KNOW WHAT HAPPENED THEN AND HOW IT HAPPENED and what the TRUE PURPOSES WHERE AT THAT TIME!

I understand today also, it has all been layed out in so many progressive, socialist and communist books that I read over the years to “know the enemy.“ The ”plans“ are being followed by my age peers and the ”useful idiots“ of today have been primed by their formal ”all get trophies” education to fall into line and be used by these radicals we should have put in prison years ago!

very senior, this is a comment from your link that I agree with:

How do you KNOW they were Rand Paul supporters? Maybe they were DEM “thugs” trying to make Rand Paul look bad? Even if they weren’t, maybe you guys can finally condemn the following assault then now too:

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=znXHJQSX78o

Kenneth Gladney was also attacked by a pack of SEIU thugs for simply selling Gasden flags — some Dem bit the finger off an anti-Obamacare supporter in California — and we’ve already had one incident of a Dem operative posing as a Rand Paul supporter and making odious racist comments solely for the cameras.

So, until and unless I see a police report on this alleged assault, I’m not taking these charges at face value.

      >VERYSENIOR. Well, I asked and I recieved. If this is in fact “Paul” supporters (which I’m more inclined to believe they ARE than not)… they should be ashamed of themselves and are NOT a good representation of Conservatism in America They are Neo-Liberals or at best… Quasi-Conservatives. I like to call them…. “Thrifty Liberals.”

I kind of figured if you had something… it had to involve either Rand or Ron Paul supporters and that’s why I brought it up in my question to you (but didn’t really expect you to have something so damning, lol) I am a vocal (VERY VOCAL) opponent of anything “PAUL” and “LIBERTARIAN” except when it comes to fiscal responsibility of course. They in my opinion represent another type of chaos that we could have in America which could rival the Liberal/Progressive chaos we already have.

Ron Paul tends to attract loons, self-important pseudo-intellectuals, and general internet miscreants to name a few types and some extremist groups like the KKK, StormFront.Org, Code Pink and your mountainous region, cabin dwelling, marijuana growing and smoking, anti-social, overly internet involved Paul supporter type lol.

I am not trying to bond with you in any way (I don‘t much agree with your comments that I’ve seen), but do appreciate you responding with something more than just “ohhhhh I know I have it here somewhere!” regarding some proof (or something that looks like proof) Lol.

Glenn is the only one who offers a well-informed theory as to the origins of these so-called protests.

Geraldo, the delusional advocate of the rainbow utopia, sees these demonstrations as what he terrns “spontaneous.” That’s absolute nonsense. If they were spontaneous, we would have seen much chatter between these people on the internet outraged over a unifying issue, consisting of many others, that would identfy who they are and where they’re coming from. We not only are unable to find a paper trail, the people themselves were extensively interviewed and found to consist mostly of malcontents who really didn’t know what they want.

In the absence of a single unifying issue, as a call to arms so to speak, the only other motivating factor that would send them into the streets are clever propagandists who have prompted them to protest. So Glenn is right. They were prompted to act for the sake of protesting, not for a specific cause.

But, as I said many times, let them go. The chaos and confusion they are causing will only serve to weaken the corporate and federal geeks, which will be beneficial to the average person in many ways.

We are seeing the beginning of a revolution which will eventually turn into civil war. These are the last days of the US empire, not the beginning os a socialist takeover. There won’t be anything left to takeover, but armed militias enforcing a breakup into ethnic and political enclaves.

Beck uses the same tactics the NAZIs used in Germany in the early 1930s. The right wing NAZIs blamed the intellectual eilite, Jews, feminists, gays, and called everyone a Marxist and communists in their efforts to to destroy the Democratic Weimar regime . They succeeded and and replaced Democracy wiht a right wing NAZI government.

The right in the U.S.used these seme stupid, hateful tactics in the early 50s with the crazy McCarthy and again in the 60s but smart people know that the civil rights protesters were the real patriots, the people really interested in sustaining and protecting our Democracy against the attacks from the right.

The protests in the U.S. have been peaceful, and if the police use restraint they will remain that way.
There are 3 groups who could make them worse, the police, right winger trying to use violence ,or the Anarchists, who have their own agenda, have no connection to the Occupy Wall Street, but often ruin peaceful, progressive demonstrations.

10thAMENDMENT – REALLY?? Let me tell you a story. When I was ten (10) years old I was walking home from school with three friends when Nazi oficers coralled us, turned us to look out to the ocean (which was coming in) while a young man (I would suggest 15 or 16) was burried in the sand up to his shoulders – facing the incoming tide. We were told to “watch and learn” – which we had no choice to do with jack-boots and batons hovering – while the young man struggled against the ocean and finally drowned.

About a year later I was in the wrong place at the wrong time – just as a prisoner or war was brutalized, and when he could no longer stand, he was thrown into wet cement and covered over.

Like I said. You have ZERO idea of what some of us lived thru at the hands of the REAL NAZIS!!!! I often wonder why Glenn likes that word so much??

Ther is not now and never has been anything peaceful about a progressive movement. The progressives are the ones that came up with the idea of the supposedly humane gasing of “undesireables”. The progressives and their minions(democrats, liberals, left wing loons) were the leaders of the violent 60′s groups. The progressives have throughout their history attempted to destroy any and all that disagree with them and have no qualms when violence is used to acheive their goals.

The occupation at this time is only a tool to get to the end! Using “children” to stir up chaos, then the authorities have to step in, then the everyday people who are already getting tired of having their streets taken over, want “someone” to do something about it, and the “powers that be” are only so happy to do so, and they stay in control past the needed time.

Mr. Beck is uneducated, (hence his recent tirades against education) and doesn‘t have the least amount of training to make sense of the world’s competing political forces besides emotional outbursts and gut (big, big gut) feelings.

And the shamelessness of his please asking for volunteers Friday to do work for him so that he can profit from their efforts. Did you see his pictures of theblaze staff at work, sitting at big folding tables. They don’t even have their own desks.

    A sinking ship.

“Education” does not equal SMART, WISE OR INTELLEGENT! I worked at a large University for many years and saw many, many, many of the stupid or easily-led there both as educators and as students at ALL LEVELS, under grad, graduate and doctorial!

Education is easily manipulated, but if you know how to question, research, study and discern you can seperate the wheat from the chaff. I dont’ remember Glenn saying, “Fascism and Communism were the SAME THING” (emphasis mine). I do know that he has pointed out that Fascism and Communism have the same (or very similar) goals and that both will “work together toward the same end,“ even if one ”eats the other” ultimately as both can not survive at the same time in power!

MaryBethElizabeth, interesting moniker. Your real name or names, or relatives names? They are lovely Christian names. My thought is that you come from a strong religious background. However, you were exposed only to “religion” rather than to the Love of God, a God Who wants to have a personal relationship with you and all humans created for relationship with Him only!

Open your ears and eyes and really hear and see what is being said and you will not have to be “educated” as to what is happening or going to happen, you will have “ears to hear” and “eyes to see.”

SEIU and Stephen Lerner are not “behind” Occupy Wall Street. They’re certainly interested in joining the movement, seeing how it‘s partially based on the idea of workers’ power and the reigning in of corporate might, but they’re not responsible for the major organization of the movement.

No they’re not, and neither is Soros, and neither is Obama. The only organization you could even begin to claim was “behind” this is AdBusters, a magazine that put on a call to action but then did zero organizing. All the major organizing for these protests has been from the disaffected left-wing hearing that call to action (or seeing it unfold in other cities) and using the Internet and social networking to organize #Occupations in their own towns.

The protests are as much against the current administration for failing to meet expectations as much as they are anything else.

Although I can’t claim that Lerner is definitively NOT behind the protests, pointing out his SEIU speech isn’t proof that he IS. It is, in fact, nothing whatsoever, unless you want to prove that because one guy had the same idea a few months or years back, that they are behind every future propagation of that idea.

Question–if Obama is such an effective tyrant/socialist who’s bent on destroying America, then how come there is so much opposition to him that is not only publicly shown, but NOT rounded up and sent off to death camps? Either Obama is a highly effective threat to freedom or he isn’t, but make up your mind–I‘m tired of hearing from Glenn one moment that he’s the most incompetent leader ever, then the very next being told he‘s the most diabolically ingenious communist conspirator ever and he’s on the verge of plunging the Earth into a thousand years of darkness under his absolute rule. He can’t be BOTH a scheming evil mastermind AND a completely ineffectual laughingstock.

Socialism is a form of economic philosophy that works well in combination with a free Market economy (capitalism) and Democracy. In Europe Briton, Germany, France, and in NOrth American Canada all use this combination sucessefully to provid their citizens with an excellent education system, Universal health care for all, pensions, and using a merket economy, and taxes to pay for social programs.

It is not socialism itself that is bad, but socialism in combination with governments which nationalize their economies like NAZI Germany on the right, and USSR on the left. and take away Democratic freedom. Russia got rid of communism but became a capitalist economy, but they are now have a nationalist government. China is now a capitalist market economy, with social programs, but is also nationalistic, without the Democratic freedoms, we have.

Occupy Wall street is beacon of Democracy, they do believe in capitalism, a free market, they just think there should be less of a divide between the very rich and the middle class.

The word democracy makes me cringe the way it is used to justify dictatorships i.e Venezuela.
