‘Mass Concentration Prison Camps’: Read the Shocking Emails That Forced a Florida DNC Member To Resign

President Barack Obama’s Democratic party has been accused by many sources of being overly cozy with anti-Israel cranks. It is perhaps because of this reputation, fair or unfair though it may be, that the DNC ended up choosing the Jewish Floridian Debbie Wasserman Schultz to be its leader just in time for this year’s Presidential elections. Schultz is certainly loathed among the Democratic party’s anti-Israel base for her outward support of the Jewish state, perhaps best exemplified by this video:

However, noble though Schultz’s own convictions may be, they scarcely excuse those held by members of her own party. Indeed, they might even look suspect, especially if one of Schultz’s close longtime allies were shown to harbor extremist anti-Israel sentiments.

Oh, wait. One of her longtime allies does. Meet Evelyn Garcia, who until yesterday was the Palm Beach representative to the Democratic National Committee:

Garcia, who the Washington Free Beacon has already fingered as an ally of Wasserman-Schultz, sits at the center of a local scandal in Florida which is going nationwide due to her connections to the DNC Chair, and her abrupt resignation. The scandal originates with a series of emails between Garcia and several unnamed recipients, who express reservations with her decision to forward a Code Pink Email attacking AIPAC, a major pro-Israeli lobby organization. Garcia’s defense of Code Pink gets ugly very quickly. All screenshots of these emails are credited to Bizpacreview.

The first email:

He writes back, “This was sent by Code Pink?! I’m appalled. I’m finished with them. AIPAC is always right! The people Obama pandered to were the Arabs, Evelyn. He will need the Jewish vote to win and he’s treading on thin ice right now.”

Garcia’s response? Well, read it below:

Charming. One of her other interlocutors replies to contest her usage of this sort of terminology. She doesn’t back down:

Garcia’s conversation partner still tries to maintain reason, telling her that he has spoken to a Code Pink representative who doesn’t want to wade into this controversy. He also asks Garcia how she can talk about “Palestinians” when there has never been a country called “Palestine.” Garcia still doesn’t quit:

The email chain becomes less clear at this point, as Garcia forwards other emails encouraging divestment from Israel. The exchange ends, however, with this email, in which Garcia dances almost completely into antisemitic hate speech territory, accusing Israel of “crimes against humanity”:

“‘Incursions’ that kill people, destroy civilian homes and infrastructure all over; mass concentration camps, etc, etc, etc.” These quite literally sum up Ms. Garcia’s attitude towards Israel. If this is the sort of woman the DNC Chair pals around with, then her first interlocutor is absolutely right: The Democrats really are treading on thin ice. Fortunately for Schultz, the story is likely to go away. Garcia resigned and apologized yesterday:

Evelyn Garcia, a member of the Democratic National Committee from Palm Beach County, resigned the post Monday after emails surfaced in which she sharply criticized Israel’s treatment of Palestinians.

Garcia, a candidate for the State House of Representatives from District 88, which includes parts of West Palm Beach and Riviera Beach, said she would continue to campaign for that seat. She apologized for her remarks and called them “ugly” and “hurtful.”

The emails were provided anonymously to local Democratic Party leaders late last week, those leaders said. In each case, the recipient’s name was blacked out. Some of them appear to have been written to a South Florida Congressional aide.

      I questioned my Republican Senator about these camps and over and over he told me that it is conspiracy theories, that there are no camps. I still do not believe him. That Senator is Orrin Hatch! I was shocked when he won again.. he claims to be a conservative.. but really is more of a Democrat liberl! Look how he has voted.. but then again our Democratic Congressman told me 3 years ago, that SS was good for another 30 years. So I am going to make sure in 27 years its still there! Hadrian was the emperor that banned Jews from the city of Israel and used the Roman nickname for the area as the official name. This is when the mass migration of the Jews started. So, if these are so well known and so common…does anyone know of a website that tells exactly where some or all of these are?…something like lat/long so any of them could be found on Google sat maps instantly for instance. Saying “oh there is one right outside nameyourtownhere” or “yeah there is one near Mt. Sacamongoshiskabob” are useless tidbits of info. Lots of claims of “someone” visiting these, or “they” did a news story on one, is just as useless.

Was this a quote from some other time not related to these e-mails? The article is not very clear about this.

    It is important that we, as Americans, do everything possible to prevent another holocaust from being perpetrated upon the Jewish people. It is true… Goodness is its own reward.

    Shouldn’t this story have been put up by Yenta Morganstern? She’s a prominent member of AIPAC. That’s why she attacked and lied about Ron Paul.
