Massive Crowd Welcomes Romney-Ryan to Wisconsin, Drowns Out Heckler With ‘USA!’ Chant

Following a rather tame interview on CBS, Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan greeted a massive crowd in the congressman’s home state of Wisconsin Sunday evening with what CNBC described as “new energy.”
Seeing the group, which has been estimated to be roughly 8,000-10,000 people, Paul Ryan grew visibly emotional saying, “thank you, Wisconsin! It is good to be home.”
The crowd returned the sentiment, cheering wildly as Ryan declared: “We want to elect men and women who run for office and tell us who they really are, what they really believe, what they’re really going to do, and then when they get elected, they do that! That’s what we do here in Wisconsin!”
Watch the full speech, via Fox News, below:
The Los Angeles Times described the crowd:
The faded [Ryan for Congress] shirt was more than a decade old. Hilbig, a retired psychotherapist from Beloit, said he got it while working on Ryan’s first congressional campaign.”He’s my guy,” Hilbig said. “He’s an all-American young man. He’s an Eagle Scout.”
“Let’s be honest,” his friend Russell Rucker added. “I’m in love with Ryan.”
The pair said they were thrilled when Romney announced Ryan as his running mate, because aspects of the former Massachusetts governor’s record had given them pause. “We’d just like him to be a tad more conservative,” Hilbig said.
But they said Romney’s pick of Ryan assuaged those concerns. Together, Hilbig said, the two were a perfect ticket.
“They’re an incredible duo,” he said.
Chris Sekula, 39, called Romney and Ryan “the team to change America.”
“They’re going to undo everything that Obama knotted,” he said.
Other notable moments out of Wisconsin included a heckler being drowned out by a strong “USA, USA” chant.
Watch a clip of the event, also via Fox News:
Mitt Romney scolded the heckler as the cheers died down: “You see young man, this group right here is respectful of other people’s rights to be heard, and you ought to find yourself another place to be disruptive because here we believe in listening to people with dignity and respect.”
He continued as the crowd began cheering again: “Mr. President, take your campaign out of the gutter. Let’s talk about the real issues that America faces.”

I‘m not a fanatical Paul supporter but I can’t really understand why America isn’t more receptive to the Constitutional purity and plain truth of his message. We would be a 1000% better off if we implemented even half of his completely rational proposals. There would be pain, but what great thing was ever achieved without pain? I guess he’s just a hundred years too late in the colossal decay of America. Will we ever get back to being the shining country on the hill we were meant to be in the first place? Looks doubtful without massive, massive pain. Obama is doing his level best to give us the pain we require for real change. I wonder if it might not be best in the long run if he wins again? Sure, this generation and maybe even the next one would be down the rat hole but it would certainly supply a powerful motivation to get out of our complacency and return to our roots. They, the RNC and establishment GOP along with the Romney camp, have violated many RNC rules (one being rule 11) and committed federal crimes in order to make Romney the presumptive nominee. Are we as a party (GrandOleParty) going to stand by while our GOP leadership acts as bad as Obama’s “Chicago Style Politics?” Where has the GOP’s principles gone? Where is the conviction of small government, Constitutional principles and commitment of ensuring individual liberty that once was the forefront of the Republican stance? We have been taken over by progressives, just like the Democrats. If Ron Paul is not nominated, I will write Ron Paul’s name in if I have to, and I hope that the majority of Americans will do the same. It would send a clear message if Ron Paul was to win the Presidency with write in votes. If the rest of the Republicrats continue on with Romney, they will deserve what they get.

Posted on August 13, 2012 at 1:19pmPAULBOTS, Ron Paul did not get the nomination, holding your breath, stomping your feet and whining will not change that. No one is giving in to you. Grow your party! That is what every national party in history has had to do, none of them started out full grown. Do you really think Ron Paul would do away with income taxes? HAHA, I laugh, he gets PAID by taxpayer money, who would pay him to sit in congress and better yet who would pay him to be the president? He sure does not have a problem putting earmarks on bills, just like everyone else. Do you think he would legalize drugs? Nope again, this is a talking point people, he would be a lame duck for four years just because you all are too busy trolling sites and rolling joints when you should be out GROWING YOUR PARTY! Put down your joint and go vote, if he had such crowds where did they go when it was time to vote? Now what? You think he would end the wars? Good luck with that, so was Obama, but when you become the Pres you are then privy to info no one else has. If there weren’t some kind of objective we would already be out. Ron Paul could get nothing done because you are not out bringing people into your base to run for seats in Congress. The Libertarian Party sounds good until people grow up and learn about the world around them and see that it is just like Disneyland, just as pie in the sky as the Democrats. This country has become too diversified for Libertarianism, see if you can figure that out.

That makes you an unindicted co-conspiritor to the crime of tresson against your country by GIVING AID AND COMFORT to the enemies of this nation and making their job of destroying us even easier. It makes you potentialy guilty of leading us into civil war. You need to stop living ion your imaginary dream land of universal love and support for Ron Pual and the ideas he puts fourth, correct though they may be. And I believe he is the most constitutional guy running. There are simply not enough folks willing to vote for him at this time. Romney /Ryan applies the brakes, reintroduces more conservatism to our lame ass society. Take a page from the progressives and relish in the baby steps that lead to your goals. This ticket you deplore is more than a baby step. It is a mile stone. It is closer to reagan which is closer to Pual which is closer to the founding. Stop helping the enemy. I am begining to question the good Dr‘s motives since he won’t submit to REASON and endorse R/R and lead his flock to sanity. You want a Pual as president? Romney won’t do anything. He might just speed it up. He created Romney Care. Obama stole his idea. Romney supports the NDAA which gives them the right to Kill Americans with out trial. And so does Obama. Romney also supports CISPA and HR 347 where you cannot use your freedom of speech around people who hire secret service. Romney also flip flops more than any candidate I have ever known. The media has got all you brainwashed. Ron Paul was putting up bigger crowds than this before Romney was even talked about.

Please post them so we can see, since Ron Paul supporters claim the media won’t cover them.

Posted on August 12, 2012 at 10:59pmI just watched the Paul Ryan “Homecoming” with Mitt Romney in Wisconsin on Fox News Channel. It was powerful and moving. I have never seen Romney so animated as he was tonight at that rally. I believe Ryan has added the spark that was missing from the Romney campaign. It’s as if they “complete” one another and compliment one another in an energizing and uplifting way. It seems that Romney has finally found his “outside”, big-boy voice, speaking with a force and power that up until now, seemed to be missing. He truely hit his stride with sharp digs at the Obama campaign, urging Obama to “bring his campaign out of the gutter;” but particularly showed his more humane and softer side while telling a story about the Olympic speed skater from the 2002 Olympics. Together, the Romney/Ryan team presented a powerful show of confidence and force, and will present a formidable obstacle to the Obama campaign this November. I pray they are successful.

Posted on August 12, 2012 at 10:06pmFARMERS ACROSS MIDWEST ANGRY AT WEAK GOP LEADERSHIP IN HOUSE IN FAILURE TO PASS FARM BILL—————While the House Agriculture Committee signed off on a measure, its substantial cuts to food programs alienated too many Democrats. And its cuts to those programs, as well as to some forms of farm aid, were not enough to appease the chamber’s most conservative members.
Republican leaders were unable to muster enough support for even a one-year extension of the law and instead passed a short-term drought-relief measure, the first time the House has failed to bring its own farm bill to the floor. The Senate, which had passed its own version by a healthy bipartisan margin, declined to take up the short-term House bill, and Congress left town in a stalemate.
