I have a suggestion, how about everyone making 250,000 and above, quit your job, or close your business for the next 2 months. Since THOSE people are the biggest problem, this would be a good test. If he is right, then the country will quickly rebound itself in the next 2 months.

Posted on August 3, 2011 at 9:08amwe can fix it without raising taxes
Rep. Ron Paul on Monday introduced legislation that would lower the federal government’s debt by canceling the roughly $1.6 trillion in debt held by the Federal Reserve.
Paul has argued for the last few weeks that the idea represents a quick way to make the growing fiscal crisis more manageable. Under his bill, H.R. 2768, the $1.6 trillion that the Treasury owes to the Federal Reserve would disappear.
The Federal Reserve began buying Treasury bonds in earnest late last year as part of its effort to keep long-term interest rates down. But Paul has argued that Fed purchases of Treasury debt represent a debt that the government owes to itself, and one that also leads to an unwanted and inflationary increase in the money supply.Paul has also said the Fed is allowing the federal government to continue a spending binge it otherwise would not be able to afford, and is forcing the Fed to print money to keep up.

Posted on August 3, 2011 at 9:15amJust because Actors are like Royalty to Americans, it doesn’t mean they are more intelligent that the man in the street, remember they earn the money (lots of it) learning lines from a script and taking direction from a Director, that doesn’t somehow make them Economic geniuses, their accountants/agents handle their money. So Damon gives to childrens charity, great it makes him a very descent bloke but that’s all he is a everyday bloke, but with lots of money. Let him write a cheque giving 50-60% of all his money to the TAX man, how many millions would that be and then let him climb back-up onto high horse because he will then deserve to be heard. Speak to Bill Gates, he gives 100′s of millions to the poor around the, that’s were the poor really are.NOT in america.

People are understandably jealous of a talented successful person who is a millionaire many times over before being thirty years old. In America, we celebrate folks who are brave enough to use their God-given talents to be a leader in their field. Matt Damon exemplifies fearless entrepreneurship. He is a constant job creator!
Some brilliant persons happen to be of the liberal persuasion, that is how it is always going to be in the Greatest Country on Earth, ever.
So while I understand how insulting you feel you need to be, I forgive you because it is just petty hate and resentment driving your petty words. Quite natural from bitter afraid shells of men.

Posted on August 3, 2011 at 5:30pmAfter reading his remarks in the interview, I believe Matt Damon’s heart is in the right place. He obviously cares about the country and wants to do his share to support it. He is not one of those progressive moonbats wanting to transform us into a Socialist Utopia. Having said that, he is unfortunately naive about the connection between wealth and job creation, and I know he is wrong. People who make over $250,000 per year DO create jobs, and will do a lot more for the economy with the money than the government will, with all its waste and corruption.
Sadly, he also believes what the MSM say about the tea party and how our “intransigence” was the main problem with the debt ceiling negotiations, but he is certainly not alone in that. It amazes me that Boehner and the Repubs took severel proposals to ODumber, who pretended to be all open-minded and receptive, then slammed the door in their faces and said “no deal” only because their “deal” did not allow him to shove the debt ceiling crisis out past the 2012 elections. And of course, all the while he was carrying on in TV interviews about how “difficult” the GOP were being, holding the economy “hostage”, etc. That he was able to get away with this blatant lie is depressing enough, and a disturbing “reality check” on the abysmal ignorance of most Americans who listen to and belive the lies and distortions of the mainstream media. You got it! I wonder how we can possibly root these subversive rats out of our government by election, when the mainstream media is repeating their freaking LIES at full volume 24/7, and the Sheeple are believing every word! Most people are just like Matt Damon–they just accept what the MSM say about the Tea Party as verbatim truth, along with their worshipful adoration of the Eared One that insists his incompetent, bumbling performance is so “brilliant” and so far above us common morons that we simply can’t understand it. We understand it all too well, but that is not going to win an election against this vast, concerted machine broadcasting ODumber propoganda day and night.
We’ve got China building aircraft carriers, sharpening their chopsticks, and obviously ready, willing and EAGER to “eat our lunch”, economic Armageddon closing in with alarming speed, and all the MSM can do is gush about how WONDERFUL the “eared one” and his subversive compatriots are, and how “billiantly” they have led the country so far? And the Sheeple are just hanging on every word and eating it up. It’s enough to make a Conservative beat his/her head against the wall in utter despair and frustration!
